In my opinion the core of edm permormance are crativity, like in a jazz, turnablism or mcing jam. Technical perfection is 4 studio session, 4 a liveset we need only a great performer with the groove in the blood like mr cris! And he also was a sincerly modest artist with the original experimental feeling of the edm culture! Respect!
Why does the sync not work over Thunderbolt? Midi-Over-IP is based on the **surprise** IP protocol, which needs a network connection to work, since it's a network protocol. Thunderbold is an interface for peripherals and not for building a network. For peripehrals like a network interface. They call it "adapter" like a XLR to 1/4" jack adapter, but it's basicly a whole network interface.
Those CDM Behringer controls, the ones to the side of the XONE 92 - what does he uses those for? I think we missed explaining where those fit in the setup
Arturo Toledo They are Allen & Heath Xone k2's, mapped to control Traktor, the left one controls 2 decks on Traktor, and the right, controls the other 2 decks. Pretty much the same as Native instruments Traktor Kontrol X1's
"If you play House (...) maybe you don't want to manipulate the tracks to much because it is produced in the way to just play them out and the audience wants to hear it in that way... so in case you're interested in that you might want to find out the set up that suits the best.... or you play Experimental Techno which you want to manipulate in real time and that is a great thing today. For anything you want to do you'll find many solutions (...) having a lot of combinations in order to manipulate [music] stuff. So I think first of all young DJ's should find out where is their passion musically and find out how to create that" House = EDM. Good point Chris, you're big.

at 19:53 i see the Maschine is not sync by Traktor Master Tempo, i see the play button for sync Live is not pushed. Now, why your Live Mac in Slave mode are synced with Traktor in Master mode? It's a coincident?
I doubt Chris will read this but at 14:30 he asks why he can't send his midi signal over thunderbolt instead of having to use thunderbolt to Ethernet adapters. He actually answered his own question but doesn't know it, the midi signal can be sent over USB or Ethernet, but there is no established protocol to send it over thunderbolt 3 yet (He alluded to this when he said midi over IP ). So while I'm sure the cable technically could carry the signal, no one has sat down to ensure compatibility yet. Chris, hire me as an opening DJ and a traveling tech guy for your set ups. I would thrive with a job like that.
