This is such an eye-opener. Thank God her contract was nearing its end; I can't imagine how it would have been if it was in her first or second year. We thank God for grace because that was tough.

It is sad that they use the word understand and they a shy because they don’t speak English as a way to be rude to others that they believe doesn’t look like them. Even when the person is saying hello in their language crazy. Being rude has nothing to do with language. Because communication can be verbal and nonverbal. I have said hello to a lot of people in the USA who don’t speak English. So shy is not an excuse to be rude.

It’s nice to see this style podcast because I hear a lot of Americans say they miss small talk, as well as deeper conversations since they’ve moved to korea. Hopefully they find this and feel comfort

The world will be a better place when Africans learn that many “black” Americans are not African-American. Many of us have families that are indigenous to America prior to slavery, prior to colonialization. Many of us come from Native American tribes like Cherokee, Choctaw, Blackfoot, Osage, and from the LA basin tribes. That’s why we’re not the same. And sometimes, that’s why we don’t vibe.

I wanted to go to Korea, now I’m like errrrrrrrr maybe not. I heard stories but omg, I was going to try to stay for some months, now I’m just like a couple of weeks and keep it pushing, although everyone has different expediences. I think I’m just a little to vocal for the Koreans 😂
