Just ran across this Allie...thank you so much for the explanation. Now I have a much better understanding of what each of these are. I think I have some of each except the more oval shaped beads and have used a few O beads but haven't ventured into either size of the demi's as I was unsure of what they were and were not compatible with. As always, great video.

Great informative video. Any chance these differences come in a concise written form without having to buy a whole book?

Thanks so much for the clarity!! A few hours ago I bought O-beads - I had no idea they come in many size forms till now thanks to your informative video! Before I watched this video, I made the purchase of
1 x 4mm O-Beads however now I'm confused, seeing how 2 x 4mm beads are tiny & slim (which I love) would 1 x 4mm be the tiniest? or is it the other way around? The higher # seed bead is the smallest & the lowest # seed bead is not as small, a size bigger?

O beads are 4mm. The thickness is actually around 1.5mm... so sometimes companies will round down to the 1 (1x4mm) or up to the 2 (2x4mm). EIther way, the O bead is the same product. Both sizes of Demi Round beads are smaller than the O bead, and made by a completely different company (Toho). The 11/0 is going to be the smallest (2.2mm) and the 8/0 a bit larger (3mm). Yes the high the number in seed bead size, the smaller the bead is. 15/0 tends to be the smallest size, with 2/0, 5/0 or 6/0 much larger.
