"Hero" was first released on 3 September 2001, just eight days prior to the 11 September attacks on the World Trade Center. Due to the song's subject matter, it was one of the few songs chosen by radio DJs in New York City to be remixed with audio from police, firefighters, civilians at Ground Zero, and politicians commenting on the attacks. Iglesias was also asked to sing the song live at the benefit concert, which took place on 21 September.

Marc Anthony was married to JLO. I want to say he dated tennis player Anna Kornakova. His dad is singer too. My parents saw Julio in Vegas. My favorite song by Enrique is Escape.
No this is not J Lo's husband. That was Marc Anthony. This is the son of another famous hispanic singer...Julio Iglesias. Both him and his father sang both Spanish and English songs. His father was famous in the US for singing TO ALL THE GIRLS I'VE LOVED BEFORE with Willie Nelson. Enrique became very successful around the same time as some other Hispanic singers like Marc Anthony and Ricky Martin.
He has tons of wonderful songs. ‘Not in love’, and the English version of ‘Bailando’, just to name two.
With this song you can feel Enrique's passion shining through. I love his voice. Such a great song!!!
