We had so much fun dollar store shopping for a cruise recently. Our plan was to score some fun cruise-worthy items without any expectations of WHAT exactly we’d find at Dollar Tree, and it was a success!

Dollar Tree shopping is my favorite obsession!
One tip- buy those round cotton pads that come in a sleeve- put these in a very well sealed jar- pour polish remover in there for polish remover pads

I love dollar stores. I don’t really buy a lot, but I enjoy browsing. You never know what you will find.

I discovered DT for cruises. They have these pop up fabric storage containers that are great to put on the cruise shelves or the overhead flip cabinets on Celebrity. Also the towel clips, magnets for the walls, hand sanitizer, ear plugs, anti bacterial hand soap, hair scrunches, and a few other little things. Did not think about hang up room deodorizer or luggage tags, or retractable pen. So awesome. Palmers also has lip balm at DT.
Dollar tree and 5-Below are good sources, too! We have a brand new larger-size Dollar Stor going in within 10 minutes of our house; yipee!
Good finds!!! My dollar tree sells books. I am a total sucker for a good read or time filler (coloring book or crossword type book) that I can leave on the ship (room steward) and replace with souvenirs.
If you are lucky to have a Daiso (Japan dollar store) in your area check them out too. Lot of goodies for travel or cruise stuff. Their stationary section is awesome.

Always add a dollar tree run to the calendar before a cruise (really any trip). I can usually find everything and a few other things that were just too cute to leave. This helps me stay on budget. Can't wait to cruise again.
Before my 19 day Panama cruise I bought a small dry erase board. It was lime green, at night I would fill in tomorrow’s date,day, and location. We left it propped up on the dressing table. When we wanted to leave a note for the room steward we left it on the bed. It worked great. I also purchased some battery operated tea lights to throw a little light at night. My sister thought I was nuts until she had to answer the call of nature in the middle of the night!
I recently found a three slot, short extension cord at my Dollar tree.
They are great! But be sure to check your cruise ship to see if it's allowed. I tried to take the exact same one on Royal and it was a solid no-sir!
Here in Toronto Canada we have Dollarama and Dollar Tree. For a cruise I buy: shower caps for the soles of my shoes, sticky notes and a travel folder, small notebook, snacks for the plane, gum, ziploc bags, floaters for the ocean, hair ties, pill containers, small pouches, and a Highlighter.

Where is this Dollar Tree? It’s huge compared to my local one.
Dollar Tree is the best. I like the magnetic bulldog clips for special invitations or the current cruise compass. It helps clear the clutter and keeps important things from getting lost.
Loved this video. We don’t have anything on this scale in the U .K. We have Pound stores but they are small city centre type shops. I could have spent all day there and lots of dollars ! !
So jealous we don’t have dollar tree ( obvs) in UK but Poundland not as good!!

I'm definitely a dollar store shopper. We have Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Five Below...I may be missing one or two! We have plenty to close from
I'm always on the lookout for cruise items. I found a pair of new towel holders for the lounge chair in the shape of a cocktail for only $2.30!!! I constantly look for "cruise outfits" at sales and thrift stores. A year before the pandemic I found the little containers with slivers of soap to carry in my purse. I have found the waterproof carrying cases for phone, etc, new at thrift stores. Always looking and dreaming of when I'm back 🛳!
With the travel shampoos and soaps with three girls and husband would it be better to get full size ?
Yes! Unless ss you’re flying to port and don’t want to check luggage.

That looks like a nice Dollar Tree. I bought three of the Bon Voyage luggage tags for my grandkids. I am hoping we can go on a European cruise next summer, I am surprising my grand daughter with a cruise for her 16th birthday, so the luggage tag will be a perfect hint.

PSA! I have heard of the assured brand hand sanis from dollar tree being on the list of sanitizers that may contain methanol. Please take a look at the bottle and check the FDA site to be sure you're being safe!

I have a cruise in February and I've already done a lot of Dollar Tree shopping. To be fair it is one of my favorite places to shop anyways.
Near me is a place called "Dollar General". Basically same thing as Dollar Tree.
They're actually owned by the same parent company!

Agreed! We have a couple in the Okanagan in BC but they're a small fraction of that size.
We have the Reject Store and Red Dollar and another one I can’t remember the name total of three in our local shopping mall here in Australia 🇦🇺 . You gave me some good ideas there

We do shop at dollar tree from time to time. That has to be the largest one I have ever seen. Impressive travel products!

In Australia our Toothpaste was made here until about 10 or 11 years ago. For example the Colgate brand was switched to, made in Thailand. Although my one is made in Germany. Who knows what chemicals are in Chinese ones.
Thats right! I heard about that. I have to make sure I do that when shopping there.
Dollar Tree sells brand name toothpaste in my area. We just bought a charcoal one that says “formula developed in the US, toothpaste made in India”

I have 3 dollar stores in my city and more than 15-20 within a 30 minute radius.. lol
The dollar tree near me is not that big. It about 30 miles from where I live. It doesn't have as many name brands. If I go across in Texas which is about 20 more miles they have much bigger dollar store. With more choices. Love dollar tree shopping.
Years ago, before we went to Grand Bahia Puta Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic, we spent about $20 on those $1 Crayola crayon and marker packs at Target, .99cent HotWheels cars, and Dollar Tree glow stick bracelets and candy. It meant a lot to our hotel room maid service who had kids. They were sincerely grateful. We take a lot of our everyday lives for granted, and this stupid pandemic has taught a few coworkers and I to count our blessings, even if it is a trip to the Dollar Store or like a couple dollar McChickens for lunch. Mad respect to CCTV crew for being consistent during these times, and for being unpretentious doing a Dollar Tree video. I know you guys would much rather be posting a post cruise video review and I bet it hurts a bit.
