Going head to head against the HTC One X, the international version offers a 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos processor, 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD (720p) display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera, 2,100 mAh battery, Android 4.0 with TouchWiz, and HSPA+ connectivity. It's coming soon to the US, and if it performs as well as the international version does, it'll be a hot seller. Part 1 of 2.

Galaxy s3 is always better than grand.
This phone has lasted me from 2012 (bought it when it first came out), all the way to 2016. I have a Galaxy S7 Edge now, but the reason I have not upgraded for 4 years was because I loved the S3 so much! Just an exceptional phone and so easy to use! I loved using the S3! I have it as a backup now, but this was the best phone I've ever purchased!

Got mine @ Best Buy, they installed my screen protector - awesome, no scratched screen ! - put my super cool case on , set up EVERYTHING for me...love those guys! This phone SO blows away other phones out there.
Had this phone for two long years and it was my best phone that I've owned

Yes, flash is supported on the GS3, and the memory card is protected in a slot on the back of the phone, right next to the SIM card slot (if that's what you were asking). And yes - iPhones are waaaay too restricted and very non-customizable.

Ive been watching videos all day about the HTC one and the Galaxy S3, i can happily say this video helped me make my mind and lean towards the S3 more then HTC ONE

Checking out the LG Optimus L9 at Wal Mart today made me realize just how big the GS3 is. The L9 has a 4.5" screen, and that was HUGE to me, and the S3 having a 4.8" screen... holy shit.
When devices don't have that battery percentage like my iPod it's always bothered me for some reason

I suppose not, new battery technologies doesn't require that extra charging to fully activate their energy cells. Even it doesn't apply to wait for your device to juice out before recharging it and it doesn't hurt your battery.
i agree to an extent but the way he speaks keeps you on your toes and he does not want to bore anybody. I think he does a great job nevertheless

Im thinking this phone today. Its really cheap and i am not a poweruser. What i like about GS3 is its simple looks without aluminum and stuff like that, the big screen and the good camera. Thats really all i need from a phone. The removable back is a good feature too.

Its amazing so far. I like the size of it way more than any other phone and its not as freakishly big as some people say it is when you have it in your hand. Overall everything about it has made me like the phone and I haven't found anything that has disappointing me.
So far every Galaxy S device has been released in May, and then add another month or 2 onto that if you need to wait for a carrier version of it.
@imkyleee that's not exactly true. The S4 is on par with NVIDIA's quad core. It remains to be seen with Samsung's quad core
Never wanted an iPhone , wouldn't pay anything for one. This phone is majorly excellent. Had mine for a month and LOVIN it.
The chaps at XDA have already ported the new touchwiz over to the One X and its as smooth as it is on this, maybe HTC will take note and not release un-optimised sense launcher.
I gotta say, I'm a teen and have had a blackberry torch for 3 years and even tho it's suppose to be a business phone ii love it. I never lose signal or wifi and always have bars where ever I go while everyone else loses it wherever they go. And my battery last like 3 days which is awesome for me. And I have the option to have a keypad, onscreen keypad forward and turned sideways. I know you may not think so but I've had it for 3 years and it's still going strong. Sure it's slowed down over the

no its not, my friend had troubles with it, in fact u need to jailbrake it to access files in it, if u jailbreak it then ur PC might think its an mp3 player or a camera, i have an iphone 4s and i have a samsung galaxy tab 7.0 plus P6200

funny how for most electronic device reviews the ads before the videos seam like as if they are there to rival the device in the video
The US version will have the S4 dual core processor that is on par with the quad core processor, plus it is rumored that the US version will have 2GB of ram.
they're just all review devices, it's because he's a journalist and he send a e-mail to the marketing section of samsung, and they decided to send him a device. If they want to have the device longer they have to ask it specifically, if not then they have to send it back after 72 hours. (sorry for the bad english, i'm doing my best :))

My mom told me that since my dad got a huge raise I'm going to get this phone. An I am so exited I just can't wait that long but, I'll hold in.
the only thing I don't like about this phone is the fact that there is no Social Hub Widget (my Galaxy note has the feature), but I am still getting this phone on sprint service sometime in July.
To clarify, the S3 is amoled too. By "S actually has" I meant that unlike the HTC's flaghip, the One X, the One S has an AMOLED screen, just like the S3. However, the One S' screen is lwoer resolution than the S3
you should make a video about all the cool features it has. like the text to call one and all the other ones.
I set mine up myself. :P When I purchased mine (got it at Wal Mart) they offered to set it all up for me, but I figured I'd have more fun getting it done myself, haha.
I believe the reason touchwiz is not numbered is because the official name is "touchwiz nature ui"
first i'm not Aaron and the only kind of 4g is LTE, HSPA+ isn't 4g and the uk and Europe don't support LTE as far as i know so that's why, but a snapdragon 1.5 dualcore CPU is really fast so not much lag, hope this helped

I've seen two people that have done a bunch of tests pitting the international GSIII VS At&T's One X and they both get generally around 5000's. Nvidia's get in the mid-high 4000's.
And they improved on it sooooo much. :)

Very informative video. One of your best. I think it is key to speak on the features of each phone. This is what differentiates one Android from the next. The majority of phone owners are not into the geek speak and this is a video you can give to a lay person to help make an informed decision (without holding the phone) on a device. The lay person still thinks WVGA looks good. Features help sell phones.
I don't blame him much. I have experienced the lack of Android Market on Android before. On someone's Samsung Admire, I think. MetroPCS gets too cocky with their customization when it comes to android.
HTC One X if you go for looks and screen quality. Samsung if you like features and the better camera. Another factor is the removable and better battery the samsung has. You cant go wrong with either one though

Yes. It does have and expandable micro sd slot.
For most use cases, a quad-core isn't going to show much improvement over a dual-core; it's mostly marketing material. Both CPUs are very capable and should be similar in day-to-day usage.
The GPU is much better on the Exynos, though.
whats your thoughts on the size? tolerable? too big? i would get the phone but the size of it really makes me worry about that purchase i might make.
I love the blue version, but the fingerprints are easily visible. The white also gets fingerprints but not so visible. Don't know what to get.

Aaron.. could you possible try twitter apps, the facebook app and youtube app ? maybe use dummy accounts somehow? would be nice to see how phones handle apps instead of the usual reviews
guage battery is a widget that shows the battery percentage in the status bar
I would love to see a conversation between this guy and John Moshitta.
They'll fix it in an update whenever they find out about it which is usually soon.

Dont know why you'd say that. Samsung has a tonne of innovative and awesome devices.
Those capacitive buttons are hideous. And also I noticed lag @ 4:38 when you pressed the widgets area...they took about 1/2 second to pop up. Yeah it's very slight, and yes I'm picky, but justifiably so - with a quad core processor and ICS, there should be ZERO lag no matter what you do.
I'm loving everything else about the phone though. The voice commands from the lock screen are very cool. Hoping they integrate that into a future version of android!

It's absolutely great! I'd say it's about 20% better than the iPhone battery life wise. I highly recommend you go for the upgrade! You'll get used to your S3 and your iPhone will just look like a worthless toy. A 4.8 inch screen used seem like a turn off for me and now I have no idea how I managed without such a beautiful screen. I was a die hard Apple fan but i'm totally changed, you won't be disappointed!
I just got it at sprint. I trade my iPhone 4s for the s3 and all I can say is that I was wrong about android.I'm a new fan n I recommend this device to everyone great phone and camara

This, by so very, very, very much. The S actually has an AMOLED display, but lower resolution. The S3 has a microSDXC slot (support for 64GB cards and the exFAT file system), the One S doesn't even have a card slot at all. S3 has NFC, One S doesn't. S3 has removable battery, One S doesn't.
hopefully theyll release it with more than two colors
if the Galaxy S3 had the camera suite HTC's One X has, it would be a no brainer for me.

I just don't quite like the position of the home button of the SGS2. It's a little 2 low and small but besides that, everything is good :)

I believe cyanogen had a big influence on this device, the tweaks and options are very cm like
I giggle a bit when I hold an iPhone 4S in my hand after getting used to the bad ass S3. Are you getting the international? Or do you live in the US? Also yes, the battery life is awesome, on 100% brightness i can play games like gta 3, nova 3, real racing 2 for about 5h.
I LOLed when you started talking about it looks different without a removable battery.
