- Political watchers say that the train wreck debate against Donald Trump sealed President Biden's fate. In the 25 days between the debate and the bombshell announcement that he was withdrawing from the race, the Biden campaign did not get much of a break. As Inside Edition's Les Trent reports, many say Biden's stunning downfall started June 27 at the presidential debate. Four days later, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre faced a barrage of questions.
He didn't decide to drop out; he was pressured to drop out.
Biden's story is genuinely inspiring and emotional, how he rose from being an actual public servant of the law for his entire life to the presidency. But he's not the same person in 2008, and age has to do with that. It's in his best interest to step down gracefully, otherwise it's like watching a show you enjoy go on for more seasons before jumping the shark. He got a good run. And it may have not ended gracefully, but it would be much better to end here than to continue suffering.

Why ANYONE would want that job escapes me. It AGES the HELL out of the mind/body/spirit!!! These days the energy drain of this MATRIX in which we live have increased EXPONENTIALLY with its other attendant issues. Joe is a SENIOR and the toll on him has been tremendous. It was a wise move to withdraw from the rigors of the campaign trail. Hopefully, he can regain some strength in the coming days post release.

@@haydenwoodyard3624 Inflation was almost a guarantee after Trump and the Pandemic, but I think he handled it well with the Inflation Reduction Act. He also regained support and strengthened alliances with Taiwan, Australia, Ukraine, Britain, France, Germany, and Poland among other things. He even got us out of the pandemic and got the economy growing again with revitalized infrastructure. He was a good president, and I will always stand by that.

Trump gave a 90 minute, mostly unscripted, speech the other night & Biden can hardly put together a few sentences. Age has nothing to do with it. Some people have a better mental state at an older stage in life than others. Those charges were made up by the judge & didn’t exist, she wanted something to charge him with, so she made up something. They’ll get overturned- just watch.
American life expectancy is 78. Biden is 81 and still working and not just any job, but the most important job in the world. That is inspiring.
