I started watching last night, and when Takashi gave him the s&w m37 revolver, and he started geeking out over it, i immediately liked him. He's literally me.
Hirano Kouta: My F*cking Hero. Nerd to Epic in a literal 5:00min flat in the first ep. I F*cking love him. Even in the English dubbed version, his voice and attitude is perfect for him. Go Kouta!
Hirano Kouta is a overweight student who wants to have a simple life before the outbreak. His classmates often bully him without his teacher defending him and encouraged them indeed. After the outbreak, he finally uses his talents (being a gun otaku/enthusiasist) to defend Saya and show his alternate self (being cool and not nerdy). In a fight, Hirano loses his "good" self and crazily kill every infected with his gun, if no more ammo he uses it as a melee or a bayonet.
this guy is my fav person in HOTD.im a gun maniac myself i just love the look of those device's all the mechanisim's inside thier body's are sooooo facinateing. also i remeber when i held my first one i smiled like he did everyone thought i was scary but i would turn out to be nice and smile like he dose to everyone. when he get's the sniper rifel i smiled crazy like he dose thinking: this is going to be so fun i can see him enjoying every moement of holding that fine piece of metal.
@dunji1999 If you mean Takashi, yeah, he's just a boy using a bat or a shotgun shover. But he has something that no other chars have: - Strong determination and courage. But also, without his friends, he would had become a zombie already.

People may give Kohta shit for being overweight, but what they fail to see is someones ability, not just their asthetic appearence. Kohta is adorable and a badass, plus hes a nerd the total package.

He kills quickly but he has little to no defense if zombies were to close in and surround him... he basically relies on the more melee-oriented characters (Busujima, Rei and Komuro) as much as they rely on him... Plus, didn't Takashi say that when they were trying to convince Takagi's father of something? You tend to exaggerate a bit when convincing someone. Rei/Komura and Busujima/Komura survived a day by themselves easily.

After all, he is just a normal high school boy that was trained for a month by an Ex-Delta Force insuctor ahah :) Love him and love Busujima Saeko.
