When I was a kid we used to go to Turner Falls and we could go to the top of the falls and ride the falls down to the pool. Thank you for posting this. Brings back memories.
i wake up and get my coffee and start my day with you and your super positive attitude. what a great way to get the day rolling, thank you for everything Brian.
I'm gonna have to start to keep a list of these beautiful places you have visited. Turner Falls Park in Davis Oklahoma, a mysterious beauty I can imagine how fortunate the tribal Indians may have settled in such serenity for children having fun to swim! So rejuvenating!
Love your videos. Especially on a Monday morning before heading to work. If I have a stressful moment during the day I just think of the peaceful swims and other scenic clips. Your videos are so very well done. Thanks once again for enjoying your life and letting us all share.
I was stationed about an hour from there many years ago. this video is a great illustration that OK is unexpectedly beautiful in some areas and the weather changes can be abrupt, extreme, and dangerous. I arrived in October and within two weeks went from flash flooding to summer-like weather and then snow.
So many gems to visit and camp out in every state. You surely found one! If you get close to Lawton, Ok. go a little north to Medicine Park and there's tons of camping, water and a National Wildlife Park, free roaming buffalo and beautiful views. Stay safe and I know you are enjoying the ride to new adventures. Thanks so much for sharing it all.
It was so cool to see this place that I've been to 100 times through your eyes! It really is an amazing place. It looks NOTHING like that in the summer. It gets so packed. There is literally a line all the way out to the main road on a nice hot summer day. You picked a great day to visit! You did a great job of showing folks around. Did you hike up to the Wagon Wheel Cave?
Great video. My wife and I enjoy your channel a lot. I had watched like 50 videos. And then came across this. Davis OK is where my grandparents lived the last several years of their life. Until just recently we had a family reunions down the road from Davis at Sulphur Park. Great vids!
wow you find the most beautiful and amazing places to camp, love OK as I once lived there but didn't find this little gem!! thanks again for sharing your life and journey with us, I just love it. :)
I'm the same way with driving. I love taking it easy and slow on country roads. I actually hate going the posted speed limits on them. I only go the speed limits on them when there are cars behind me but, half the time I try to pull off or go really slow and wave them around. Love taking in the scenery. Plus, never know what's gonna' jump out at you on a 55MPH, winding country road. Great video as always. Love the last story. All about those crazy adventures hahahha nice.
Brian, glad you took my advice. I've spent many a day swimming there. Next try Lake Murray. I grew up give minutes from Lake Murray. Very clear and calm lake.
This place looks great! And it was warm enough to swim in November. I need to get my husband to take me there. Looks so fun. We went to Florida this December. Orlando. The warm sun felt good. And we got to swim. So thank you so much for showing us this place. Maybe we can go this spring. And sounds like a very well run place to get you out of a potential dangerous situation. Very cool place!
Bummer having to move, but better than a midnight swim! And I have seen videos of flash floods- seems the water is pushing a huge pile of garbage ahead of the actual water. That place was cool, and I love the sound of rain on my RV- but the ceiling is 4" of styrofoam with plywood and rubber on top, maybe a little quieter than your van's roof. Still beautiful country and a joy to watch. Thanks!
For anyone wanting to visit or stay at Turner Falls. Fair warning it is a great place but avoid it during peak times. That place gets crowded. Cool piece of trivia. They have a castle built into the hill side. You can climb some of the stairs and some of the outer rooms are open and you can go in and check it out.
Awesome footage, he had the entire waterfall to himself. That water was really clear, wonder if he saw any fish? If he was sleeping and a sudden storm came then he risked being washed away. Probably the 2nd or 3rd most dangerous situation I have seen Brian in thus far.
Turner Falls is an awesome place. And very affordable. Sorry about the weather, it gets a little bumpy this time of year (actually kind of all year round), the storms just pop up and cause pretty intense flooding. We are always careful when camping.
I stayed at Lake Henryetta for one night on a road trip in December 2021 and have to say that the park and town was extremely desolate and dismantled. I rarely feel uncomfortable on the road or at camps, but this place gave real Hill’s Have Eyes vibes. It was nothing like older videos I’ve seen of the area. I would unfortunately recommended steering clear.
I've camped at turner falls for years. Mostly off season, it's pretty cool. Beats the hell out of North Texas. I don't know where your going, but lake texomas nice or down in Texas at possum kingdom. Hey look at it this way, if Trump wins, at least your safe. Oklahoma. is the only state that had no County go to obama. I live just south of the border in Lakeside city TX. right next to Wichita Falls. It is raining here now. The Temps. are going to be nice , just cooled off here. Dude if I didn't have my daughter and grandchildren here you could come by for a pit stop. Maybe next time . Thanks for the videos brian.
I've been enjoying your channel. Especially the ones in OK. Funny how so many people like to trash on OK, but there are some really nice places here. Thanks for showing it.
I'm from oklahoma. I've been to Turner Falls many times. Another good place to visit is Sulphur oklahoma. Chickasaw National Park. they have camping and many waterfalls also water forges in the roads. the park is only 15 miles from turner falls
my son fell off that waterfall when he was 17 yrs old. its 77 ft tall he almost died, he fractured 5 vertebrae in his back and broke his heel and tailbone and lots of other scrapes bumps and bruises. he had to wear a body cast for several months. 70% of the people who fall off that die. they have no signage . its super slippery up there on the top . it was literally the worst day of my life. i thought he was dead for a while. they airlifted him to norman oklahoma. but he healed up and recovered and now he is in the army and he is a medic. i thank god for his survival. but i have never been back there since.
I thought Turner falls campground area was pretty crappy. Sulfur Oklahoma has some nice springs and has a much nicer campground. Not very far from Turner Falls. Give that a try next time you are through. Great channel. I enjoy watching your vids and I have made the camp shower and it works great. Thanks.
Thanks for posting! Turner Falls looked like a great campground, but the reviews on Trip Advisor were mixed. Many loved the place, but there were an equal number that complained the campsites were full of trash and the bathrooms disgusting.
+David MacDougall I was there on the off season so everything was very nice. I would imagine during summer its a mess. There is a reason they have their own Police on site :)
Do you keep a journal of the parks you stay at, with notes? Sometimes, we think we will remember places to return to, then forget names, exactly where they were etc. You should really write a travel book with ratings, photos, etc. I also love to travel back roads - they are so fascinating! Interstates bore the heck out of me. I have relatives (Cherokee) from Oklahoma and also my ex-husband's family (Turner) are from Oklahoma - I wonder if Turner Falls is an area they were from. Interesting. His grandmother (first name Lakotia) was full Cherokee from Oklahoma too.
Awesome video. Thank you for sharing. Can you let us know what the area is at the beginning and ending of your videos please? Those are some fantastic pics!! Turner Falls park looks like a lovely place to camp at. I'm jealous. Peace friend.
Brian you make the greatest videos on youtube. I really appreciate you sharing your adventure. I watch all your videos and always feel like I'm right there enjoying as if I was truly there. I just purchased a 2015 jayco camper and I'm planning to do a full time adventure in the near future. I'm so excited cant wait to do this. I just don't see how you manage to always travel in the country with so much beautiful scenery. you practically appear to avoid interstates and that's what I wanna do lol. please explain how you do this so well. I hope that's not a stupid question thanks so much Sincerely Don greene
When I was a kid we used to go to Turner Falls and we could go to the top of the falls and ride the falls down to the pool. Thank you for posting this. Brings back memories.
I live in Tulsa, Ok and never been there. Heard about it for years. It’s about 154 miles from me. One day I will check it out! Nice video!!!
My hubby and I were at Turner falls back in 2006 it is beautiful !!
Been there twice, so beautiful
Turner Falls has been a fav spot since I was a kid. Good memories and love that you got acquainted with it. 👍🙂
Some the most peaceful nights I've had in the van is just laying in bed listening to the rain. Thanks again for sharing your adventures!!
Thanks Brian for taking us all with you on you amazing journey. 6 minutes of a dream holiday every Monday.
i wake up and get my coffee and start my day with you and your super positive attitude. what a great way to get the day rolling, thank you for everything Brian.
I swam there as a young child. A family trip or two there every summer. What fun and memories.
I'm gonna have to start to keep a list of these beautiful places you have visited. Turner Falls Park in Davis Oklahoma, a mysterious beauty I can imagine how fortunate the tribal Indians may have settled in such serenity for children having fun to swim! So rejuvenating!

My grandparents spent their honeymoon at Turner Falls in 1919. When I was stationed in Texas my wife and I visited there twice...

+Gojira61 Thank you, Oklahoma has a lot to offer! Lots of beautiful country :)
If you're still in OK, I suggest checking out Red Rock Canyon State Park. It's back up the other direction, west of OKC though.
I'm from oklahoma. I've been to Turner Falls many times. Another good place to visit is Sulphur oklahoma. Chickasaw National Park. they have camping and many waterfalls also water forges in the roads. the park is only 15 miles from turner falls

Another great adventure! You seem very positive. I do wonder if you miss the ebb and flow of relationships/connections with people on a daily basis.
Dang! Where is that morning after the flood footage lol.
awesome!!!
So cool! To think that you've got two door knocks in OK and none in SD. What kinda weirdness is that? 🤔😆
+Static CamperVan They were good knocks though :)
🦋
Cool!
Is there still a giant slide at the bottom pond? It was over 30 years ago when I was there last. I had almost forgot all about it.
Thanks
Patrick
+FloppyHatPhotos Yes! The slide is still there :)
Have you ever thought of travelling route 66 from start to finish? I have always wanted to cruise on my motorcycle down route 66.
ps my name is jacob i have aultism i love the videos
Yikes, two nights in a row!
Very nice campground! Did they have any limits on how long you could stay?
What a cool spot! Great camping area. What's the temperature out there?
The Police really don't like it when anyone is happy, so watch that mister! Henryetta looks like it hasn't it hasn't changed in 70 years.
