  • I recently bought the Juiced Hyperscrambler 2, single battery version, for my local commute since our Subaru Forester decided it was no longer fit for the road. This isn't an in-depth review but rather my thoughts on the things that could have been better, and the things that really stand out to me. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps in your decision when buying this bike!

    The only thing for me really is just the legal issues like the 750wtt+ motor that you have to register with the dmv and in states like california where commuting is what Im using it for its important I meet legal criteria to avoid any unwanted issues from the law.
    To be fair, there are other e-bikes that go around 28mph 750wtt and perfectly meet ebike laws and even have 30-60mile ranges for only around $1k-1.5k. Honestly, it just seems like this is a nice vehicle that serves a specific purpose for specific people. Nothing bad about it really, from the looks of it you get what you pay for(and I say that in a positive light)

      I would definitely agree…I try to communicate in the video that it’s more of a luxury and a novelty, less of a bike for most of us who can’t afford it. I wouldn’t recommend it for most people, but specifically for the wealthier clientele who are looking for that novelty bike!

      What has a 60 mile range for 1.5k? Curious. Range and the ability to replace batteries when they go bad is my #1 criteria.

    • @jordanvp
      @jordanvp  4 месяца назад

      @zangl2955 that’s an excellent question. Tbh I have yet to find a bike that boasts a solid range and actually performs to those claims.

      Haha thank you! Actually I wouldn’t recommend the Outin, I’ve only been getting one use per charge which in my opinion is pretty poor. Apart from that it does what it says 🤷🏻‍♂️.

    dont have the bike but thoses tires should be great on road. I would not swap them unless you are really wanting to turn the bike into an off-road scrambler and riding as much off-road or more dirt as pavement.
    also if one is looking to do much offroading, a lighter mid drive emtb would be far better, more fun, and more reliable. or a big ol direct drive enduro build, which will weigh about as much as the scrambler but be faster.
    the bike does look really cool with knobbies on it though.
    when the gears wear out metal may not be better to replace the nylon with but it will likely be much worse if the metal gears break inside the motor. if going with metal i would def want to inspect them well to make sure they are not cheap metal that may grenade the motor.

    Is either this or the Honda grom..the good thing about the hyper scramble it's cheaper than the Grom..but the Grom could also take me further and I don't have to sit there and wait for it to charge..kinda hard choice for me but I do like the scrambler tho..btw nice video..

      No definitely not too tall…I’m currently reviewing my 5th bike which is smaller than the Hyperscrambler but could still accommodate someone of your height so this bike would actually be really well suited to anyone even up to 6’6”.

    @Poteluz Год назад +2

    Yeah those tires suck, I have a friend that has one of these bikes and he's wiped out multiple times and he's never fallen off bikes prior and it's because of those slick tires. You can hit even an extremely small amount of loose gravel and it'll wipe you out. It's been a known issue with those tires, best ones you can get are the all terrain tires like you said.

    • @TheFreshPeddler
      @TheFreshPeddler Год назад +2

      thats not the tires fault. they are road tires, not gravel or offroad tires. any tire can wash out on gravel or leaves, especially if one is not versed in maneuvering a 100+ lb ebike offroad.
      that said, someone careful/experienced enough will probably not washout with those tires. on even a standard bicycle with appropriate tires for terrain, one needs to know how to turn through water or gravel.
      for instance, on a bicycle i straighten up or hop over rain gutters if there is water. you def dont want to be leaning through those, braking or turning the bars going fast.
      knobbies do look sick on the bike but then youre limiting contact patch on road and all terrains tend to be pretty crap everywhere but again, all can go do well enough anywhere within reason if you are careful.

    • @Poteluz
      @Poteluz Год назад

      @@TheFreshPeddler I never said he was off-road, he was on the paved streets. Like I said this is a widely known issue with the slick tires they use.

    what's the milage like going full speed?

    • @jordanvp
      @jordanvp  Год назад +1

      It does go down significantly and the bike automatically throttles down your speed as your battery gets lower.

    • @luis4721
      @luis4721 Год назад +2
