The Lionheart Vulcan 9 is based on the popular Lionheart LH9 series
The LH Series is based on the Korean military sidearm; the Daewoo K5. Soon after its development in the 1980's, the K5 was imported into the US as the Daewoo DP-51. After many years of battle proven history, we saw the potential in this firearm. We then decided to update and improve the DP-51 and turn it into the ultimate combat handgun. With some help from industry experts, endless trips to our factory in Korea, and tens of thousands of test rounds, it was ready!
    • What is special about the LH9 series?
The LH Series has an excellent track record. It has been used as the standard sidearm for the Korean Army for over 25 years! The design utilizes a unique "Double Action Plus+" trigger system which combines double and single action for a truly unique and smooth first shot.
Prepare to be amazed by the revolutionary features of Lionheart Industry's latest creation, the most innovative pistol you've ever seen! The Vulcan 9 by Lionheart Industries.

Daewoo absolutely has this trigger action, and I have a dp-51 from decades ago. Its a 2-stage trigger on a double action.
The best trigger action for a 1911 style or Beretta style hammer fired pistols. Glad it's hopefully making a comeback.

it's called fast action in s.korea. the triple action mech is planted in K5 the s.korean army, navy, and airforces service pistol. and, K5 is not retire for s.korean troops yet.
The triple action has advantages in preparation for a burst accident and a fast and high first shot accuracy rate, but it has disadvantages that are difficult to maintain due to too complex part design and internal structure. So I think the LH, which was made by improving the K5, will have similar disadvantages. I am a veteran who retired from the Korean Army in 17, and as a result of shooting K5 and 1911 during my military days, I found that 1911 was much easier to manage of maintenence. Of course, LH seems to come out in a race gun style, not a military purpose, but anyway, since the base of the gun is K5, I don't think users will use triple action well.
LH is good gun. but a glock or a 1911 is better gun so far.

This one is from Lionheart and is based on the Daewoo DP-51 action from the 80’s. Lionheart used to import the Daewoo and sold a version under the Regulus LH9 name. This is the new Lionheart Vulcan 9.
The idea is to be able to run a "cocked" hammer fired gun with the lighter and faster single action trigger without needing to carry it with the safety on. Hammer spring is cocked but the hammer and trigger are forward. Super light and long take up (just have to overcome the return springs), and it breaks in the same spot and same way that a single action would. The longer trigger travel is supposed to be added protection just like on the striker fired guns without manual safeties.

Yeah Lionheart used to import the Daewoo DP51 and then the upgraded versions like the Regulus sold under the Lionheart name using the Daewoo action. This is the newest Lionheart using that action as well, called the Vulcan 9. This one is now 100% Lionheart not imported.

@TkellKnives I shot a Daewoo YEARS ago. Hated the ergonomics. I'm weird I guess. I'm a CZ guy all the way. 1911's/2011's feel good. Don't mind a Sig 220 series or a beretta 92 series. Anything but a Glock, frankly😂. Carry a CZ P-01 Compact most of the time. Dying to get my hands on the new Shadow Compact🤩

The ergos on this aren't from Daewoo. Just the idea behind the Action. The Vulcan has a quote that says "born from shadow". I can attest that this pistol feels great and shoots very well. There is a lot of detail and innovation in it.
I cut my teeth on the model 92's and still love them to this day. The 22X Sigs still remain my top choices and I have my eye on a Shadow 2. It's no secret that I NEVER choose Glock from a shootability standpoint, and choose nearly any other striker fired brand given the option. The M&P 2.0 trigger and ergos are hard to beat, and i have an AXG P320 that is magic on the range. I do have a G45 (for SHTF purposes) and the trigger is much better than other Glocks i've handled. I do appreciate the simplistic "it just works" approach to a Glock. Few parts, and super reliable. I just like other platforms better, and since I have a choice, I'm with you 100% 19/2011's all day for me!

@@TkellKnives If you haven't shot a Walther PDP...especially the PDP PRO...do it. I'm a hammer fired guy, but the PDP changed my mind that I could still be a trigger snob and like a striker fired gun😂
