I'm actually very glad you did a vanilla workflow to help some individuals who cannot manage to get themselves Hard Ops and Box Cutter Add-ons. I truly Appreciate that.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
OMG now I am really worried about you mate, is this VANILLA? On a side note, guys, I learned 3D watching Masterxeon1001 vids, so if you are watching this, you are doing it right.
Just getting started with Blender. I know many concepts in 3D already from back in the day (Softimage) - been using Zbrush mostly for the last little bit. Your tutorial is so straight forward, I love it. I think I need to go and find the previous ones that you mention, 'cause some things flew over my head. Amazing results for such little time. Thanks.
@@masterxeon1001 you are doing plenty. It is up to the viewers to go back and bridge the gap in knowledge. This was my starting point in your channel..... Though, where would you recommend starting. I was looking at your plugins, and was trying to figure out where to start in learning them. You have no shortage of 2 hour videos... Just trying to figure out where to start.
I have found that shrink-wrapping good topology on bad topo is the way to go for me. As an industrial designer that allows me to go back and implement feedback such as (radius) bevel sizes, because the modifiers are still alive.
It's great to see stock blender workflow vids from from you, but it's these type of tutorials that ultimately made me into a customer. I'm sure you know that though, LOL. Thanks for all the hard work master! BTW... I moved to blender after a couple decades of Caligari Truespace, so I'll take all the help I can get.
Probably the first masterxeon1001 video that I can watch *mostly* at 1x speed xD. You know what would be great, although it might be a bit boring for you, to retackle the same model but with boxcutter and hops cranked to 11. I feel it would be like a 10mins video with triple the details.
theres a sequel to this i might put up later but the vanilla fundamentals be crucial. They remain my immediate fallback in the event of issue. I did give it a try w/ hops and it's a passing fancy haha. I do love seeing how the fundamentals evolve as well over time and basic functionalities continue to move forward.
Oh! I hate to press everytime J, because I have to leave mouse and move my hand to keyboard and after I press Shift + R. Only this repeat shortcut helps me a lot.
@masterxeon1001 I was trying to do the bevel at 03.:55 with Hops but it does not work like in vanilla blender. Hops is just rounding the corner a bit but not so wide. I tried every Hops parameter but no success. I noticed also that Hops is not setting Mieter Type Outline to Sharp.
@@Leevy27 anyways the purpose of this video was to show how it could be approached from vanilla to lay down base fundamentals. When it comes to the bevel in hops when it doesnt work from the modal the next best thing is to use the ctrl + ~ helper and get in and adjust those settings to perfection. Either way the gif was just showing that its just as doable in hops as it is in vanilla so its not worth overthinking.
@@masterxeon1001 I know the purpose of the tut. As a big fan of Hops (started a few days ago using it) I thought, I would try to build this headphone with it. Many many thanks for the short GIF! It helped me a lot! Much appreciated!
thanks for the comment! it's tough out there. Sometimes asking about the issues you are facing are more productive to getting a desirable result. Also. This was done using vanilla (standard out of box blender) and not a lick of hopscutter so your struggle is with blender and your comprehension of fundamentals. But the only way to get help is to seek it. Otherwise I can only speculate and guess to why you failed.
I'm loving these free form no add-ons workflow videos.
The god of Hard surface, I can't believe you are not using Hard Ops and Box Cutter 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
goal was to show vanilla workflow

Make me appreciate hardops and box cutter !!! Love the video Thank you 😊
it's work like this thats the reason it exists. I couldn't imagine doing it day to day again...

Jerry needs to get PureRef into his workflow. :D
i use pureref. But this video required an intool window.

I can listen you're talking while modeling the whole day. Satisfying, chill and educational :D
Thanks so much to share your knowledge and skill.
I believe you can select a pattern by selecting the first two edges of the desired pattern then ctrl shift num+ to continue the selection
aw yea so many goodies

its a classic!
Super Cool , Jerry!
I'm out of my comfort zone watching you model WITHOUT HOps 🤪
fundamentals remain the backbone of all we do.
Ya! It is essential for sure.
fellow armchair expert here, blender has a checker deselect function you can use to deselect every other edge

alternatively you could use hopstool as well. Hope that helps. I tried to be slower.

Hey thank you for your videos!
Mine doesnt open the image in the image editor in Blender 2.9
keep practicing! Youll change a window to an image editor eventually!
Love your videos like this!
