Hey squishy just a pro tip on frame rate. Your monitor can probably only handle VRR from 48hz-390hz. Once it goes outside of that range it can cause a stutter meaning the gpu may occasionally spit out 391fps which will cause a stutter as it works to get back to 390fps to keep VRR working properly. That is why there’s usually an option for frame rate to be capped at 1 below your monitors refresh rate (389). A new cpu and gpu will help but I’d recommend using 389 so if you ever get that extra frame randomly you’ll still be within your monitors VRR specifications 😊 hope you see this message or hopefully the community upvotes this for you.
I recommend using RTSS (RiviaTuner) to cap the FPS to 3 below the max refresh rate. This has given me extremely smooth gameplay in Rocket League with a perfectly flat frametime. I get drops/stutters without capping it or when using nvidia control panel to cap the frame rate.

Wonder what GPU he's using? I learned that uncapping RL made my 4070ti unhappy, would cause major system shutdown. Couldn't turn pc back on for like 20 mins each time. After a couple instances of this happening, I checked windows event viewer and saw there were power delivery issues in the events. Basically the GPU was just running wild. Power supply should be more than sufficient at 850w Gold+. Set my frame limit to my display (165hz) + 10 to end up at 175hz. I think the newer generation GPU's are really just power hungry, especially if you let them run wild.
what do you mean by uncapping? like putting the highest frames on RL? you should cap your FPS to whatever your monitor is. something is wrong if your pc cant turn back on for 20 minutes
Another bright red car that can be used on the blue team. I never liked that they allow for that. Of course the name tags are the correct color but every once in a while my eyes will trick me in a quick scene. Maybe it's just me.

So? Actually they are not even the same thing. GPU stands for "Graphics Processing Unit". It is basically a chip onboard the physical card itself. So when Squishy said that he will buy a new GPU and a new graphics card, he meant that he will buy a new graphics card that has a new graphics processing unit on it. Graphics card without a graphics processing unit on it is literally useless and dead-weight. If you buy a new GPU, then that also itself is useless because you can't plug it into your PC motherboard.
It's not your fault that you're lagging. It's the servers lately. The servers are atrocious I swear me and other players in my lobbies have issues with lag every day even tho our ping is fine
I agree that the general mood towards Rocket League has been down. The MMR issues continue to get worse and banning player trading is total nonsense. It’s unfortunate because the community has some amazing content creators, including yourself, that will also feel the impact. As someone who uses the item shop frequently, trading isn't important to me at all. I feel like it only impacts people without money. Might be a hard pill to swallow for some people. But it's the reality. Doesn't effect anyone with money. I'm only sad that RL exchange is leaving cause i won't be able to buy items i specifically want anymore. I hope they improve the item shop and add more items in rotation. Black Deici for 1000 credits sounds nice. Alpha boost for 1500 credits is a dream.

I dont think its your graphics card because I have a 4 month old 4090 and the same has been happening to me as well. I have tried reinstalling my nvidia drivers but that didnt seem to fix the issue. Not sure how to fix it but just to let you know, its not just you.
