- Finally made a video of what the Silverado can do off-road!!! We went to 5 Mile Pass outside Lehi Utah. The Rattlesnake trail was a great trail to show probably the most challenge I would want to do with how the truck is now. Definitely will be going back to that area!
Great video man! Cool to see what a Silverado can do.
Yeah it was a blast filming this. There will be more videos to come!
As a Jeep guy I give you 👍👍! It takes guts to run a full sized rig on rocks. Great job navigating the trail!!!
Great video! What a capable pickup! Awesome.
Loved the video keep them coming! I just found and bought a 2012 Silverado crew cab, 1 owner with 15 service records, super clean like new...can't wait to start modding it 😁
Awesome man. Lots of good stuff to find. Gotta look more in the Baja realm to find stuff for the Silverados but it's out there. More videos coming soon. Kinda got delayed with my first kid being born!
@@aspiringadventure thanks for the Baja tip. I'm definitely leaning towards Overlanding as my son is 7 and I want to take him camping. Congrats on your first! First year is rough but it goes by fast. Cherish it, take lost of pics/vids and have a memory jar to jot down little memories that standout. You guys can look back on when they're 7 and it'll make you happy on a rough day 😁 take care and God bless.
Wow, surprised you took it up Rattlesnake, but you did it. Great video, great truck 🙏🏾💪🏾
Great video!!
Awesome job brother! Trail Boss guy here and I just sub'd 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks man. It was a fun trip.
I have a JKU with a 4” lift running 35 MT’s and I wheel in the trails at 5 Mile all the time. And every time we go up Rattlesnake Trail, I always say to myself “I hope it doesn’t get any harder” Pretty impressive to see a big full-size truck charging this. It’s definitely not an easy trail.
Thanks. It was all pretty doable except the part right before where the thumbnail pic was taken. I had to scrap my bumper into the ledge to make the turn by that big boulder and the side of the hill. Any longer wheelbase I would have been screwed.
@@aspiringadventure Yeah dude, that part is pretty tough. You couldn’t have driven it any better tho. Hope to see you guys out there one of these weekends! 🤙
Gezus! crazy run man.
Yeah it was about the limit for difficulty on how this truck is set up. Fun stuff though.
That is a 3 all day long! I've gone up that trail in multiple stock trucks from a 76 ford manual trans to a 2wd broken tcase motor 94 explorer that was bone stock without body damage! It's in the driving technique how you can accomplish trails not in how much your rig is built to a certain extent of the obstacles in front of you! I've gone on trails and damaged the crap out of my rig that were super easy not paying attention doing dumb stuff also! It's all in how you drive! You can make a vehicle do things that would amaze you if you take the correct line!!!! How do you think the pioneers crossed this country with no wheel drive and horses before we ever thought of making them fun trails to play on! They did it to survive lol!!!! We just goof off and have fun destroying things trying to get to the top! My 2011 gmc rides like garbage tho im surprised your truck does so well because mine doesn't want to flex or ride worth a crap in the dirt I need to go thru the front end and find out what's worn out and binding
Great video, I have a 2013 Silverado I have built very similar to yours and have been very impressed with it. I would like to find a camper shell like yours.
cool stuff im building my 09 z71 to go play up there that bumper really helps on the approach angle
Yes. I have loved this bumper. It save me some damaged on this trail too. Full size trucks are a touch long for this trail in one spot so it help me scrap by.
Aspiring Adventure cool post a video when you do your rock sliders i need some ideas lol
What lift and tires size are you running? Just found your channel so if it’s explained in another video I apologize!
No worries man. Its a 4in Tuff Country lift with Nitto trail grapplers. 295/70/17 I do talk about them in another video on my channel so check that out for more explanation.
You are both curious looking man. Very strange looking critters!!😮🙄
I was thinking of taking my trail boss up. Hopefully I don’t mess it up too bad haha
If u go up the rattlesnake trail with stock suspension you will have some really tight spots. There are plenty of easier routes though. So just be careful with the boulders and your rocker panels.
Thanks for the video. What year is your truck and what front bumper are you running?
2009 and it's a DV8. I have another video that explains all my mods. Check out the channel and let me know!
Great video bro!, I have the same truck,
It's your transmisión stock?
Curious what bed cap brand and model do you have here?
Sold it 4 yrs ago but I believe it was a Leer. Don't know the model. Pretty basic one.
What size tires are u running?
295/70/17 there are a couple other videos that i talk about the tires and lift etc. Check those out for more build details.
@@aspiringadventure I will definitely check out those other vids. This was just the first one of yours I came across.
What lift is on it
Its a 4" tuff country. I go over it in another video if you need more info.
Is this kit better then the BDS 4 inch lift kit ??
Nope. BDS is way better. But alot more money.
I really don't see why people purposely abuse their vehicles.
If you dont get it, then why did you watch it?
@@aspiringadventure Because I wanted to see who gets stuck or whose shit breaks. But also, thinking of getting a 4 inch lift and even though I'm never thinking of doing that... it's good to know the truck can handle it.... ONLY if I have no other roads and it's an emergency.... I personally don't have the money to take a 30-60K vehicle and try to push it to it's breaking point..... Now if you had a cheaper second hand vehicle that can be afforded a sacrifice...YES, play and have fun!! Thanks for your sacrifices... I get it... it's about getting views for $$$... Be safe.
If you have to ask, you will never understand
😍♥️👍🇺🇲🙏💰🚙😘
I had mine on an 11 mile trail here in NC... did awesome... go watch mine on my page 👍🏼 good video man
Love the truck my guy, if you like fishing check me out
