I don't listen to nearly as much black metal but I think my top 5 would be: Mgla- Exercises in Futility, Yellow Eyes- Immersion Trench Reverie, Lychgate- An Antidote for a Glass Pill, Obsequeia- The Palms of Sorrowed Kings, and Panopticon- The Scars of Man on the Once Nameless Wilderness.
Difficult to pick, a lot of great albums but less obvious highlights than, let's say, in the 90s or nillies.

Inquisition is just as guilty of being hippie shit too in fact they fit nicely in with my spacey albums like blut aus and mare cog (also I forgot to put them on the list 🐒)
