I love Incubus.. growing up wit teenage angst and depression they were 1 of the few bands that felt like a breath a fresh air and gave me strength and made me feel happy for a better day.. I seen them live a couple years back wit System of a Down.. both great bands live ❤ 🙌🏻
Aaah, Morning View. One of those gems that made the early 2000, post-Grunge era much more bearable. How I tortured my J-Station back then to get some sounds shy to Mike's. Thank you again, Mr. L. 👍✌
I just landed on your page. I've been getting back to guitar after lots of years not touching it. I dig how casual you make it learning a song. You style just makes it feel less serious and more fun. Thanks man
@@RyanLendt aww man... The song was pretty easy already actually tho I'm just lazy for that echoing arpeggio part lol. I hope you make more Incubus videos! Or linkin park, aspecially for 'somewhere I belong'. No one really made a decent tutorial for that song yet
I believe.. but I might be wrong .. or it might be an acoustic guitar doing it .. but that Chorus/intro section at the the first time you do what you said to do but the second time around you play power chords 244xxx and slide it to down the same way you slide the 224xxx chord .. it sounds like a regular Power Chord.. I think that’s how you end every measure of the intro/chorus 😂
well those power chords aren't regular power chords, they're power chords plus a 5th in the bass - so sliding all the way down would be an A with an E in the bass, which isn't the chord, plus you can hear the B note on the G string every time. I looked into this fully :)
@@RyanLendt I think you can see it when they play it live 😂 he brings up his ring finger to make the Power Chord shape and almost every cover I see they play a Power Chord .. but like I said I might be wrong.. I love the video though ❤️ thank you for all your hard work bro
Would you find it helpful to have my personal tabs/notes for songs?? Check out my Patreon! www.patreon.com/RyanLendt

pleasure rufus!
Mike is amazing live. Saw him from the side of the stage last night. He makes it look and sound so easy.

To the Patreon guys who requested this. Thank. You.

Incubus's guitarist plays those odd cords like STP's guitarist.
Any chance of a campfire version of this coming anytime soon?
Made my morning dude!

Thank you so much for this!
most welcome!
nice lesson!
Thanks! 😃
Good job

Pretty complicated, but anyway thanks for your explanations....all Incubus songs are so sophisticated, so is Wish You Were Here
I just noticed the turtle on the tele....very cool...but I am probably just CPT Obvious again. Great lesson sir!
I’d like to learn Where Do We Go From Here by Filter. Campfire please. They said it couldn’t be done.
More incubus!!!!!
mincubus!
Campfire version?
you'd lose the 9's in the chords, it wouldn't be that song anymore :(

2:48 "pull off the G-string" lol
Can this even be "softball sunday"-ed
not this one I'm afraid
In ukelele?😜
:)
dude start ur tutorials playin the song first and then discuss it
First
:)
You should start out playing at first so we know what it's supposed to sound like before you teach it and can see the chords for the advanced players
I thought the ten commandments , bibles , and tots n pears were supposed to stop all this ?
I don't speak German or English so most of this video is useless.
