- This psychédelic tour of life after death is seen entirely from the point of view of Oscar, a young American drúg dealer and addict living in Tokyo with his prostítute sister, Linda. When Oscar is kílled by police during a bust gone bad, his spirit journeys from the past -- where he sees his parents before their déaths -- to the present -- where he witnesses his own autopsy -- and then to the future, where he looks out for his sister from beyond the grave.

It's unsettling how accurate this makes the addict/dealer experience. The "underground" of drugs and sex is romanticized to a disgusting degree now in days. A very false sense of freedom and independence.

Instead of watching a shit ton of movies because of you. I'd be stuck watching them 1 - 3 hours per day but I was able to watch more than 1 since they're literally 11 - 12 mins and its only because I've found this channel aka your channel. I doo however thank you for your time and entertainment, I will however continue to watch many more to come or any videos that pop up while I watch any other videos that you've made before.

Honestly,this is one of the saddest movies ever.Despite having a silver lining ending,this movie showed through the kids perspective,everybody goes through some shit and we should be nicer to each other.Either way that’s the second most important aspect of this movie.The first being…DONT DO DRUGS.
I like how the son gets kicked out and hit by the dad when he tells him about his wife's infidelity.

he wasn't reincarnated as his sisters baby. when you die and your spirit wonders earth, you can see things from 1st, 2nd and 3rd person. Ultimately, your spirit either transcends to a higher plane of consciousness, or gets stuck wondering earth for reincarnation. Spirits that stay, do so, because they didn't experience enough, carry regrets, or never reached enlightenment when they were living.
At the end it wasn't him being reincarnated , it was him having a false memory of his birth.

This is an underrated masterpiece,I watched it years back when I was fk'd up on Dxm and weed. Felt like I was Oscar and got way higher when he smoked Dmt. The first person perspective along with his thoughts,and the philosophy about death and reincarnation all took the experience to the next level.

I remember watching this during my LSD, Pysch and RC experimental phase and honestly this movie is a pretty amazing representation of how it feels to be under the effects of powerful psychedelics. You don't see shit that isn't there like dinosaurs or the bullshit they portray in tropes. As far as physically seeing things You see fractals, waves of light and vivid colors and distortions all mixed together. The real trippy aspect of it all is your actually perspective, like being awake, yet watching yourself in 3rd person. Or being able to experience the EXACT same thing with people you trip with. I don't just mean like you do something tomorrow together. I mean you have shared visuals which is wild considering what your seeing is "supposedly" figmintations brought on by the chemical reactions in your brain.
Shits wild but I would'nt recommend it for everyone.
You can't grasp the moment,because the it'll ruin end. You'll grasp the truth only to loose it immediately after.
In the end what's important Is knowing the Love Christ has for you.

I remember my friend recommending we watch this film back in college. Stopped after like 20 minutes because it was getting hard to follow. Thank heavens for this recap so I know how it ended.
Your concentration levels will/are affecting your ability to focus, learn and take things in. This is by design.. deliberate dumbing down! Less resistance to the controls. @@dannykicks603 That may be a part of it, but I honestly did not find the film interesting at all, and the only reason I watched this video was to finish that itch of knowing how the film ends. No to mention the vivid use of colours was bothersome for me (at the time at least). But it’s not always dumbing down by removing things to streamline comprehension of something. If you are working within a time constraint in which you have to learn X amount of information, then naturally some things will be omitted for the sake of achieving that deadline.
