Here in Brazil we don't use honey. We use condensed milk.

Im brazilian, u can use 3/4 of an american cup of oil.about 200 ml or less
How would you keep the icing thicker? Would you keep it in the fridge for an hour then take it out to room temperature?
Also can you do the icing using the microwave instead?
Yes, you can put the icing in the fridge to make it thicker. I haven't tried it in the microwave.
