I love how you embrace what others might call a mistake, because those moments often lead to something even more unique and meaningful-your work is a beautiful reflection of that.
Thanks so much Tas! I can’t tell you how many times that has happened to me and I spun it out and I hated it! 🤣🤣 On this one I was struggling enough…I was like “not today Satan!”🤣 I love the pipette! ❤️
The color combination is simply amazing and the center is gorgeous. I love this paint color, I just bought 3 cans of it this week. 😉 Can’t wait for FAE, I took 4 out of my 5 classes with you!
Beautiful! Just tried and it's working,! One request, I know you said in the beginning what colors you used and it would be really helpful as you're laying down the colors if you would say then again. So pretty!
I just recently found your channel Tara, and I love your work. I've been looking for a varnish free PM. I couldn't find the Valspar in high gloss, so I bought semi gloss. Do you know if that will work as well? Thank you so much.
Hi Pam! Thank you for your kind words. It should still work but your paints and pigments won’t look as glossy. That being said I have never used it so I don’t know exactly. You find the Valspar Base C High Gloss at Home Depot. Ask someone at the paint desk and they will direct you.
Very pretty colors and I love the way it turned out. I live in Kansas where it is cold now. My heater is making everything so dry and my paint consistency seems to change by the second leaving me to scrape the canvas and paint another day. I am in the process of getting a humidifier to put moisture back in the air. Have you tried this? I am wondering how the paint/painting will do if there is a mist in the air or if it will make it worse?? Also can I just mix my TLP's with GAC 100 and just use that, or do I have to add something to it i.e. Behr if I am going for a fluid consistency? Thank you for teaching us the good and the bad!! What to do and what not to do. LOL
Thanks so much Martha! A humidifier might work. I know the air is so dry here it is rough. Now as far as your question about the gac100 and pigments… are you trying to do the bloom technique? Even when I do a pearl pour which is really thin you need to have more consistency and volume and that’s where the pouring mediums come in. You want to stretch out those pigments…they aren’t cheap!!! ❤️
@@PiecesofTaraArtistry Thanks so much. I will be getting the humidifier tomorrow so I will let you know if it helps. :) I am trying to pour over an angel that is unfinished with Abalone. I mixed it with GAC 100 but was not sure if I am to add anything else to it. I want it on the thin side but was not sure if or what to add. I agree I need to stretch the pigments out!! My plan was to cover it first with watered down floetrol so that the paint would have an easier time to flow.
@@PiecesofTaraArtistry Found this searching online. For optimal acrylic painting on canvas, the ideal room temperature is between 65-75°F (18-24°C) and a relative humidity level of around 40-60% - maintaining a stable environment with moderate temperature and humidity is key to achieving the best results with acrylic paints. Key points to remember: Temperature range: Avoid extreme temperatures, as very cold conditions can slow drying time significantly, while excessive heat can cause the paint to dry too quickly and potentially crack. Humidity level: High humidity can lead to uneven drying and potential mold growth on the painting, while very low humidity could cause the paint to dry too quickly and become brittle. Stability is important: Consistent temperature and humidity levels are preferable to large fluctuations.
@marthaburge5209 Thanks for the info Martha! I need a humidity gauge. In the winter I struggle to reach 65 degrees in my studio with two space heaters going but it is very very dry. ❤️
You are a bright shining light and your artwork is stunning. It always has been and always will. Big air hugs lovely ☺️

I think you see more wrong with this painting than I see. It's very pretty and the colors are awesome!
Thanks Kim! We are our worst critic aren’t we! I just felt rusty with the hair dryer that’s the main thing. The cells and colors are fabulous! IMO ❤️
