Thank you so much. I have been learning this stuff through adversity(I.e.chronic pain), and prayer to the One who made these amazing bodies in the 1st place. Powerful stuff. Thanks for sharing this knowledge. The stuff we never learnt at school but should have! 🙏💜✌️

Childhood trauma led to development of idiopathic scoliosis at 13 (2 years after my mom died along with additional abuses). After nearly 6 years of healing my trauma my spine has become more straight n aligned. Most important step to getting better is being in a safe place with safe people.

That was a great explanation. This might sound odd - but I think my somatic therapy is my ironing! The sounds of the steam, the rhythmic nature of the ironing itself. I don't watch TV or listen to anything whilst I iron & so love exploring my own thoughts - and accomplishing a task at the same time!

Great video Dr A. Do you have some recommendations for how to do pendulation techniques?

In one of Peter Levine's books there is a good description of "pendulation". He invented the term. He describes the technique in a video on youtube.
Pandiculation is another type of somatic technique - Yasmin Lambat has some good YT videos around that.
