I knew a guy whose father was rich. His father was one of those guys who when he walked into the building he worked in, people would immediately react with "Hello Mr. X. Let me open the door for you" or when he went to this ultra classy expensive restaurants, the maitre'd greets him, "Mr. X, so nice that you complement us with your presence." Etc. The son could not compare to the father and lost his job when he was fifty and his father supported him. He was not that popular with the ladies, but nevertheless he went on the internet and found what he thought to be the love of his life. They supposedly hit it off. The woman worked in a facility that cared for old people and after they married she decided to stop working. He felt that was ok because he could afford to support them (with Dad's money.) It was about a year after they were married that he suddenly died. I do not want to reveal how he died out of fear it will provide information that can be used to kill someone. But if I was the father I would have demanded an autopsy. She had a funeral and had the body cremated. She got all his cash, belongings, car and the house. I believe she to be responsible for his death.

It really pisses me off every time I hear that investigators view asking about an attorney as SO suspicious, and actually have the GALL to say things like, "why do you think you need an attorney??" Ummm, because cops focus in on innocent people all the time, and twist things to get charges pushed through far too often! ANYBODY who is being questioned by police about a crime, including the most innocent, should immediately call for an attorney before saying a word!
EVEN in Canada when a wife beating neighbor directed his anger at me, on my property, the first thing a lawyer said was "Did you say ANYTHING to the RCMP"? NO. GOOD. Cops have zero interest in any thing other than handling the file quickly. YOU are not a member of their club. Therefore, no Bill of Rights for you unless you stand up for your Rights anywhere.
They'll do it to child victims, for the love of Pete! My mom's 2nd husband was... Yeh, we're not gonna go there. Not a good guy, in any case. I was a scared kid, barely 13, and there were crimes that HAD happened and crimes that HAD NOT. The police got a story into their heads, that a friend put there thinking she was helping, and I spent something like 15 hours being isolated and threatened with all kinds of BS, until I caved and just said the least I could to get me out of that room. Did I lie and say that he had done something he hadn't? Yes. I did. I'll be ashamed of my ignorance of my right to have someone with me forever and horrified that anyone in my family let it all just ... Happen. Anyway, I did make sure that everyone with any damn sense listened and he wasn't ever charged with the things I hadn't been truthful about. Unfortunately, that also meant he came home, bc the prosecutor didn't want to proceed with something so... Un-flashy? (DA election year, don't ya know). It was another 6 years before I convinced that woman to get rid of him. So that was fun...
Did forensics lift finger prints from the tv & packed items from Lanny's home?? That could be concrete in finding the culprits or confirming Jose & nephew as the killers. I'm going to say it again, something is sketchy and might want to reopen the case. 🤔🤷
I never understand why people who are on the verge of being killed and barely alive don't make it a point to say who did this to them , esp if they know who it is. I see this a lot with females who are killed by an ex or someone they know! And unless emergency personnel or a 911 dispatcher asks, they never volunteer the name, and many times don't they're not even asked unless the police is present. It's like they have to pull it out of them - "who did this to you?" Like this guy here, why did he say "they" instead of saying "Jose is trying to kill me?" I wonder if it's because they're in shock and it's not a priority for them at that moment. Maybe all they care about is if they're going to live or not!
Not to take away from the fact that the 16 yo nephew took part in a horrific murder, but what a dick José is man! Tries to throw his 16 yo nephew under the bus by saying he pulled the trigger during a horrific murder that José himself had recruited him to help in. I also wonder if José didn’t tell his nephew it was going to be a robbery and not mention the torture and murder until they got there. Again, not minimizing the nephew’s participation in the crime, I actually think he should be sitting in a cell next to his uncle.
Officer Mike Pierce is now one of the few who do survive and RTD. This guy and the woman that helped to save him have grit. Landy taking the truck from Jose, the way he did, probably pushed the dude over the edge. He just lost his truck, with no warning, was in a town he didn't have any people in, and stranded in a parking lot, and just got humiliated in front of the cops. I imagine Jose was beyond enraged, and felt betrayed beyond reason. Spurned love, and being burned on top of it, damn. Not saying Landy deserved to die, or have any of the terrible things that happened to him, but damn. Landy had to know that Jose was going to want some kind of revenge. The whole thing sucks.

15:00 "After aggressively questioning Jonathan, cops say he made a request that was very suspicious."
Cop: "He said something of the effect calling an attorney."
Wow crazy to that these cops will treat you like a criminal for something as basic as calling an attorney.
ALL cops, ANY TIME you use your rights and ask for council they automatically think you have something to hide and think you're guilty.
When you end a relationship/friendship with a toxic, manipulative, violent etc, person. You can’t take them back, reach out because your lonely, you can’t entertain them, play games with them. Just walk away. They resent/hate you already for leaving them. Your playing with your life.
Exactly... You will never will at THEIR game
No better advice has EVER been said 👆
Yep. Don't play with someone's feelings.
Listen you are right, I talked to a guy for a month before I found out he was a liar and not a good person. He threatened me because he was mad, no way I’m entertaining that. When I hung up that phone that was is it and I never called him again, I blocked him on every social media platform I had and still block till this day.. tf I have a kid that is depending on me, I never been in that situation but I’m proud of myself to know that was not something I wanted and didn’t take a second to run the other way..
I love how Matt survived against all odds, truly an extraordinary story and thank you for the share.

From where do people get so much of ruthless cruelty in them???
It’s evil, ruthless and inhumane!!!
The inhumane brutal treatment and murder of a young man he supposedly once loved, makes me wonder if he ever knew or experienced what love truly is and what it means????

This is a young, gay, hispanic man whose BF was murdered. ..I sure as hell would have asked for an attorney too.
I concur! 💯
Remain SILENT because anything you say CAN and WILL be used against you! 🎯 Ask for an attorney!
Yess 100% true! we all know too many cases where innocent people are put behind bars while the guilty remain free.
Hell yeah! Thank you! Shit, even if I'm innocent, I would definitely ask for an attorney because it's my constitutional right!
Alwayyyyysssss ask for an attorney and say NOTHING other than that!
It seems perfectly reasonable to me to ask for a lawyer in that situation.
I’m so sorry Landy 😭 You didn’t deserve to be tortured and killed. Some ppl just can’t accept that NO MEANS NO! Ugh I hope heaven is peaceful for you now 💜

@DONNELLxxxOKAFORWhy are you bothered so much by what 2 strangers do that you’ve never met? How does their lifestyle affect you in anyway?
The only thing that should bother you is why you think you the have the right to judge what these guys or others do! So in case you try to scream that your religion or relationship with God says that it’s wrong… what it also screams is that you are not to judge.

Asking for an attorney in this day and age with so many crooked police is a must unfortunately.
There aren't that many "crooked police." Just ignorant citizens and empowered criminals. Keep on keeping on with that chip on your shoulder, though. Maybe if you had stayed in school you could have been more than you are. Don't blame the police for that too.
punctured lung is not a joke, i seriously can’t speak more than like 2 words at a time and everything starts getting fuzzy because you’re too focused on your cheat and not being able to take a full breathe. it’s hard to describe what a collapsed lung feels like. your cheat doesn’t really hurt, but you seriously can’t breathe more than a half breathe. you’ll feel that your lung isn’t working, you may not think that’s what it is, but when it happens, you know something is wrong. i didn’t think i had one from an accident until i got into the ambulance and basically 2 minutes away from the hospital. it doesn’t feel like you got the wind knocked out of you, it’s just super hard to explain
This is disgusting.. I hope they never get out of jail.
His nephew is just as guilty and it is a shame that he is out free in this world after physically and psychologically torturing this man.

It’s actually suspicious to ask for a lawyer when they ask you about your murdered loved one. It’s weird and it’ll forever be weird.
@@Memg007Exactly. People can get pissed about it all they want, but it doesn’t change the fact that it looks suspicious. I wonder how many people who say to get a lawyer no matter what, have ever actually been in that situation where you learn someone you love is dead and then you’ve immediately got homicide detectives in your face. I have. Did I ask for a lawyer? Hell no. I was an emotional wreck and had next to zero regard for “protecting” myself. I have never regretted that. The cops saw me up close and personal going through the worst trauma and they knew I wasn’t putting on a performance. I can’t even begin to imagine anyone in that same situation asking about a lawyer. Like I totally get the principle behind thinking you should always have a lawyer, but in a real life situation, when it’s a close loved one, it comes across as sketchy.

If i were to rob a bank with my friends, we'd all go to prison. Why is Jose free to go? System sucks

Absolutely narcissistic to call you the day before he marries someone else. Ew
The 16 year old should have been charged and sentence to life to he was there and committed a crime to breaking and entering robbery he gets away with everything that is our justice system for you
It really pisses me off every time I hear that investigators view asking about an attorney as SO suspicious, and actually have the GALL to say things like, "why do you think you need an attorney??" Ummm, because cops focus in on innocent people all the time, and twist things to get charges pushed through far too often! ANYBODY who is being questioned by police about a crime, including the most innocent, should immediately call for an attorney before saying a word!
Agree 💯
9:23 makes me so mad. Just imagining being home and then attacked, screaming for help. His ex is a sick bastard and he belongs behind bars forever
I do not agree with some of the horrific things I have seen within some LE communities, but these people still get up EVERY day and go out to put their lives on the line to protect. Thank you 😊

So true. Never know. action-reaction is different when it comes to a person's mentality. Especially, when emotions are involved. People just react without questions or gravity of course of reacting.
