- At the tender age of three, Danny Marquino was diagnosed with a rare form of pediatric brain cancer. Danny's parents, Larry and Christine, felt shattered when a Neurosurgeon predicted that Danny would only live for another eighteen months. Now, nearly thirteen years later, Danny is alive and well. Despite being in stable condition, Danny has endured years of chemotherapy, seizures, and developmental issues. It is with the unconditional love and support of his family, that Danny can maintain his unbreakable spirit and positive energy. George Oliphant and George to the Rescue visit the deserving Marquino family to surprise them with a much-needed home renovation, visit to Steamboat Springs and the Mets' David Wright surprises him with one-of-a-kind batting practice session at Citi Field.

I hated seeing really good furniture being dumped like that ... really shocking when so many people would have loved to be able to have it!
plus.... the David, Danny's fav player is so humble to send his personal video reaching out Danny. I mean that's everything for such a fan.
Great rescue! Danny obviously is an amazing little dude. What got me the most is his older brother who obviously cares a lot of about Danny. Great family! 👌💯
This rescue was, by far, the most beautifully finished and decorated spaces I've seen on the show.
It stroke me how the whole family is genuinely interested in each other and root for each other.

It may seem fine on a TV screen, but usually it is all donated if viable. We can't see mould, or damage correctly, we are only seeing the smallest snippets. These renovations got longer than we think. There's only so much you can put in an episode. Google is your best friend.

Love this show but, seeing perfectly fine furniture and beds being thrown out rather than donated to someone who doesn't have anything, makes me sad
You should contact George to the Rescue and suggest that the furniture that is in good condition, should be donated to a shelter or to a Domestic Violence Shelter for women who are starting their lives over again.

YOU COULD HELP A LOT MORE PEOPLE WHO HAVE nothing nothing nothing WITH THE GOOD FURNITURE YOU THROW AWAY.
They have kept furniture in the past. They are not going to hand over ugly worn out furniture either.
I live in a part of CT where you can't give you used furniture away...no matter how nice it is. Wish I could donate it, but places like Habitat for Humanity won't even come pick it up. I wish I knew where we could donate. We moved into a home that left a bunch of furniture...at the time I didn't know I couldn't list it on CL and sell it, a couple extra bucks, why not, however, stuff just doesn't sell here...so we have a double garage filled with furniture...ugh!
These videos with kids suffering from cancer and other rare diseases BUT especially cancer literally gut me. My nephew passed in 1999 at the age of 11 from double leukemia...💔😢💔 Yes these KIDS have the spirit/hearts of giants and fight better/stronger than we can begin to fathom❣❣❣We could ALL learn from these extraordinary fighters!! #DANNYISABOSS George I'm so very sorry for y'alls loss of your dad Tim...😢💔😢

What George and his team did for this family was amazing. He all was does amazing stuff for family who deserve it. I vould tell by the reaction og the whole family they were blown away by whatvwas done. That made there lifes alot better. What Danny got from David Wright was amazing. He will never forget it. Every room was amazingly done and they were so beautiful to see. George is great. Love everything he show.

Danny is such an awesome young man. This was well deserved. George always knows just what to do to make things work without a bunch of nonsense extravagant expense. Thank you George for another great job, well done. The fold up bed was a great idea, its there when needed but out of the way when its not. I've never seen a bed like that so I need to find information about those, a spare bed like that in my spare bedroom/office would be awesome.
It's called a Murphy bed.. or just simply a pull down bed, fold down bed, etc.😋 && there are many different kinds. On the GTTR reno I just watched right before this one (for 13 year old triplets who shared 1 small bedroom) they had to convert 2 bedrooms into 1 large-ish bedroom for the 3 teen girls as that was the only option, so they utilized the space as much as they could by using the Murphy beds.. but my whole point here is that as they each folded their beds up, a desk came up from underneath && took the beds place without any work involved && looked absolutely seamless.. literally you just push the bed up to the wall, it locks in, && then you have a nice little work space. Look for that makeover video && see what I mean because I can not even explain how awesome, practical, && beautiful it was -- although I'm sure you don't care much about the beautiful aspect of it all🤣 Anyway, many styles to choose from. Goodluck👍🏼

I can't imagine you breaking up the cabinets shelfs throwing out in the dumpster..the things you have thrown in the dumpster are much better then from my present things i own in my house..I really wished you could have given it to me instead of destroying and throwing it away!
