Glad we got the win, but these starting pitchers have GOT to get it together! The Braves offense is incredible, but we shouldn’t be getting behind by so much, so early against all of our starters. We gotta get this figured out before the post season.
Watch in the postseason it will be the opposite 😂.

We have them. They just need to be consistent. Maybe a couple days in AAA to jolt their mojo. Benching Ozuna made him better. Have to believe it works for starting pitchers too.
That guy has only pitched 2 games in the majors. He's probably our worst and will be replaced by Wright when he comes back.

- I'm not Sugarcoating it: Chirinos did NOT Pitch Well. 5 Innings of 6-Run, 7-Hit Ball, Walking 2 and Striking Out 5. Despite this, he gets another No Decision, keeping him at 5-4 on the Year, But His ERA Increases to 4.83. Definitely pitching like a Placeholder at this point, but one thing intrigues me: After that 3-Run First, He was Pitching IN THE STRIKE ZONE!
- Barring the Dramatics in the 9th, The Bullpen DID A FANTASTIC JOB! Jimenez, Hand, Yates, and Iglesias worked together to SILENCE the Pirates over the Final 4 Innings, Allowing just 2 Hits and 2 Walks while Striking Out 6! Kirby Yates gets the Win, Pitching a Solid 8th by Striking Out 2 while allowing 1 Hit. Iglesias gets his 21st Save of the Season, Getting Out of a 1st and 2nd Situation.
ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 6 Runs, 9 Hits, 4 Walks, 11 Strike Outs, 4 Home Runs Allowed.

Nice comeback win for the Braves tonight
The pitching worries me truth be told at times, but hopefully the Braves can stabilize that before the postseason. Nonetheless, great comeback in the 9th. Needed it to end the mini-losing streak. Hopefully Braves can keep it moving forward. And hopefully Acuna is okay after being hit.
Once again it took more than long enough to post the highlights for this game, as for the game itself.........HALLELUJAH, Braves came from behind to pull this one out and stop the 3 game skid, but thanks only to our bullpen for keeping us in the game as starting pitching once more turned in a poor performance, this is really becoming a major concern as we look down the stretch toward the post season AA have better pull something out of his bag of tricks if he's looking ahead to the WS, also I am sick and tired of seeing Ronald getting hit so much by opposing pitches, it's demoralizing to constantly watch, anyway they did win tonight and hopefully can keep it going for awhile, GO BRAVES!!!!!!!
Need to get starting pitching back on track ASAP.

Hell of a game. Massive props to The Buccos. That city and that field deserve to finally have some good ball being played. They're gonna be an exciting team for the next few years if their ownership can stop being stingy and hold onto these young stars.

I love the fact the even with with the umps overturning a double, them hitting Acuna, and even after great defensive amd offensive plays, and even with our worst pitcher, the Pirates still lost. 🤣

Curious about the Ozuna double that was overturned. All the camera angles sucked but it looked as if the 3rd base umpire was in perfect position to make the call. The home plate ump seemed to get into position too late and the ball was already past 3rd. Was there a definitive camera angle that I didn’t see maybe? Im sure it wasn’t just because of pressure to overturn the call that they overturned it. I’ve seen very blatant bad calls not be overturned because of clear ump arrogance (Angel comes to mind).
@jygb7092 I have rewatched @4:00-4:25 and it looks pretty clear from those two angles that the original call was right. @4:23 it is past the bag before it starts heading downwards. Rewinding to @4:14, you can see that just as it starts the downward motion, it is above 3rd base. And most importantly, in both angles, the 3rd base ump was in perfect position. The homeplate ump doesn't even get up to see down the foul line until the ball has already hit.
This win was good, but no regular season Braves win will ever top when these two teams went to 19 innings in the Summer of 2011. As someone who lived in western Pennsylvania for 9 years of my 28 years on earth, I absolutely loved listening to the Pirates announcers lose their minds over Julio Lugo (R.I.P), being called safe by ol Jerry Meals. THAT IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!! Lol 😂

The rotation is disastrous, and i wouldn't be surprised if the phoolies catch up over the rest of this season considering there are NO answers to the problems the pitching staff is going through. Morton...terrible. Elder....terrible. Strider...roll the dice, he either strikes out 10, or is removed after 3 innings. I have nothing to say about Chirinos other than, MOVE HIM....someone in Gwinnet would be better off than him.

The braves pitching has been terrible lately. They peaked too early.
didn't see all the game, just saw the Ozuna double. YES I said double. Obviously a judgement call, but the 3rd base ump said fair, its not like the ball was 3 inches over the bag and you can really tell, it was 15 feet above the bag when it crossed, so how can you say that was clear enough to overturn. Another example of crappy umpiring.
This offense is doing everything in their ability to keep games close and honestly if I’m on the starting pitching rotation I’d feel pretty bad about it. Get your shit together starting rotation! Chirinos needs the boot, how is this clown getting the nod over AJSS or Soroka?? It’s no different really at least they would get some exposure.

Kind of sad seeing every team tee-off on this pitching staff. How many homers did they have tonight? 4 or 5? Guess that pitching a lot of fellow Braves fans kept telling me we didn't need to trade for at the deadline sure would come in handy about now.

Since June 1st, so for two whole months now, every Braves starter has an ERA over 4. Every single one. There's reason for a little bit of alarm. The starting pitching has been bad for 2+ months now.

I had high hopes for Chirinos after his good outing last time…guess this explains why the Braves have 10 starting pitchers on their roster. 2:20 I still think if you don’t stay in the playing field the out shouldn’t count, just like if you go over the outfield wall it’s still a home run. 6:04 You could tell by Arcia’s body language that he knew it was gone when he hit it. 6:24 Ronald’s only been hit by a pitch 7 times this year but for some reason feels like a lot more.
