The most wholesome thing before departure is always the ground marshals waving goodbye to you as you taxi away to a long flight ahead. Flew this flight early this year, so far MH never failed to impress me.
The entertainment value is 10/10 and you are such a good vlogger JW. Just so well put together on all aspects. Mum is classic too….she’s a part of the furniture. Keep up the great work. BB
Well done, Jayden! Just flew on the exact aircraft 9M-MTD from KUL back to AKL, as well as began my flight from TPE (was on a 737 of this sector that date). Was impressed that the entire crew were super attentive and demonstrated their Malaysian hospitality, I really enjoyed the trip!
Great video, Jayden! The crew looked really fabulous on the flight. That always makes such a difference and can make up for other deficiencies in the service. I especially liked how outgoing and friendly the lead FA was. I agree that serving the entire meal on a tray isn’t very elegant for international business class.

Malaysia Airlines's business class looks quite outdated, but imo it felts a little better than what I saw on Garuda Indonesia's old business class, which has 2-2-2 layout. The throne seat surely is popular though. As what you said, I was a bit disappointed to see the food offering for such 4.5 hrs flight. The satay looks gorgeous, however the main dish offer being only chicken, dim sum and barramundi seems okay but not impressive, I'd also expect a Malaysian dish to be available on the flight as well such as nasi lemak. Can't wait for your next review to LA with QF

Just flew MH from KL to Melbourne on their 330. The service has improved a lot, the food was good, although it felt more cramped than the 350 because of the design of the seats. Push back was right on time so MH are steadily getting back to where they used to be. The one thing I can’t stand is the “and boys and girls” thing. Presumably taken from Virgin Australia. It makes it feel like a holiday chartered plane. MH need to keep proving they are a serious airline if they want to compete with the best.

We flew from Phuket to KL Malaysia B class. I felt so exactly how I feel when life is nice. No alcohol service, and no Satay. It was more about the lounge at both Phuket and KL.
Inflight magazines are incredible. I take them home and look at all the flightpaths and the different craft in their fleet. I love your video style. Did you try to get your Mum closer? Swap with someone? Or do people refrain from bargaining for seat swaps in Bu$ine$$?

Hi kor! Hope you enjoyed Phuket. EK does the same for headsets, I asked them and they said it's so they don't have to collect it after landing (they don't paid after landing). Similar to how US crew don't get paid for boarding and hence no welcome drinks (although AA crew just signed a deal with the airline so that they will now get paid for boarding!) With 777x delayed once again and also MH A330neo delaying as well, we're gonna see more and more older planes 😮💨
Ic I nvr knew that ..not paid for what is to me standard service ..again I know it's reality but that world today is all Abt money ... thank goodness most asian carriers treat as standard and pay is pay not defined by what I feel is standard practice for all classes of service...as far as middle east carriers I don't like the fact that they hire so many different free types from ard the world that it's not even showing what culture of service which should be the Hallmark of an airline but I know most ppl won't agree with me ..I am just saying ..plus I don't enjoy flying into a transit transfer at some godly hour of 2am in the middle east...yes I agree with all the supply chain issues it's inevitable that planes will be aging and so airlines like SQ thankfully have more of their younger fleet although yes they do have aging 777s around...

not sure if it is something not mentioned before but on several flights out of Melbourne over the past few years me and my family have had taken Malaysia Airlines and they left the seat belt sign on the entire flight and refused to serve hot drinks due to "turbulence". I'm not sure whether this is an internal SOP thing or cultural thing but given your flight was also met with the same fate, I'm seeing a pattern here and wondering if this is a wider Malaysia Airlines issue. Can anyone confirm if they have flown other routes recently?

The first Neo is supposed to be delivered by end of Oct, but now delayed - most likely by end of November instead.
I have an A330neo booked with them unfortunately they changed it to -300 :( lowkey devastated as I booked it only for the neo.

not sure if it is something not mentioned before but on several flights out of Melbourne over the past few years me and my family have had taken Malaysia Airlines and they left the seat belt sign on the entire flight and refused to serve hot drinks due to "turbulence". I'm not sure whether this is an internal SOP thing or cultural thing but given your flight was also met with the same fate, I'm seeing a pattern here and wondering if this is a wider Malaysia Airlines issue. Can anyone confirm if they have flown other routes recently?
Very much a MAS issue. Had it happen many times on different routes in recent years.

Would you know why Malaysia Airlines would give China Airlines lounge access in Taipei if they are part of Oneworld? I find it weird that they give China Airlines lounge access if Cathay Pacific lounge in Taipei is accessible because of the alliance.
they're codeshare partners and also MH uses China Airlines ground staff at Taipei Airport. So not the same alliance but they're good mates :)
