Why didnt they just tell the military to move in as soon as the president was in the beast. These guards would have found it pretty difficult to break into that thing. Its basically a moving safe.
There were other hostages involved that the terrorists threatened to execute. However, they happen to disappear the second the plot wants something cools to happen

I think that the filmmakers did a lot of guessing since they obviously couldn't film in or near the real White House. I see the movie as being basically a fantasy action-adventure movie and I actually enjoyed it very much for what it was!

No, that wasn't the plot of the movie at all. The guy who got denied being in the Secret Service is the hero of the movie and he's the one who is saving and protecting The President from the terrorist group.
