There is a major miss for phase 2. The rib offset 4mm instead of 1mm from the slot back face. Phase 1 was extrude offset from the plane, which is 3mm. There is no way to make the change from 3mm to 6mm for individual configurations. How to solve that?
Interesting that I keep getting slightly different results on the FOS and von Mises stress levels. 2.823 and 4.306 for the FOS (both configurations) and 8.164 on the von Mises on the first configuration. The stress points are in the same place though and the model is exactly the same. A puzzle. Great videos though.
I have a question: I need to make conveyor belt which is moved by a crankshaft One the crankshaft there are 2 pulley on the edges that transmit the motion . So here goes the question: i need to block those 2 pulley, do you have any suggestion to how to do that, i was thinking of putting 2 circlips on the edges of the pulley , do you think it will work?

If you wan to build a significantly stronger version of that part while keeping the weight same or even make it lighter, then use a parabola or a combination of two invert large radii plus a middle small radius near the main body to mimic a parabola shape. i.imgur.com/3k7l7h7.jpg

How is it that you can give SolidWorks the dimensions as soon as a sketch is drown instead of going to the smart dimension tool?
the keyboard entry is binded to the related function applied, so the dimension is updated. Just valid with and you're done.

so the cilinder and the middle part are at a 3mm offset, but you create a 4mm radius fillet. My CATIA just went "boom!"
