Cheers. Yeah, the Copplestone Back of Beyond was (is?) a great range with some really gems. I was lucky to find all of this stuff in a dusty corner of my old gaming store.
Wow beautiful work! I really enjoy your painting style! The miniatures really have a lot of character and your bases really enhance the over all look of the figures. Your presentation style is excellent and make your videos a lot of fun to listen to. Looking forward to more!
Thanks, Dan. I notice I always get the sniffles when I make videos. haha. Thank you for the compliments too. I paint a lot and I really like doing it. I'm looking to do more outside of Bolt Action, but I am a World War II junky. I have been since the age of 3 when World at War used to come on after Sesame Street on PBS in the afternoon way back decades ago.
Cheers, Leon. The response I've gotten so far has been really good. The guys in my club are a bit 'meh' because I've been going on about the cheesy rules these guys have. lol
Thanks, mate. They were a lot of fun to paint. The rifle guys got a bit tedious, but nothing like the Soviet Horde I painted. *edit* just subbed to you. I 'm going to try and sneak some of your videos into my lunch hour here.
well it might be a while as I am trying to be disciplined and work through some other projects which were half done so just finished some 28mm Nassau Napoleonics, next up some 28mm Portuguese Napoleonic Dragoons, then maybe the first Russkies will hit the painting table!
Fantastic looking army. Very characterful figures, will have to look into Copplestone in the future. Must be a great feeling to complete an army, not something I’m familiar with. I’ve been following Francesco’s channel for a while, he’s definitely one of the best painters I’ve seen.
Thank you, Lee. The Copplestone stuff is pretty good. He's got a wide range of crazy stuff, like cavemen and eskimo warriors. I didn't know Francesco was his name. He's an amazing painter. Every video, my jaw just drops. I've been liking his newer 16th century stuff too.
FYI - Your regular infantry don't have initiative training. Only the German-trained infantry squad has that. It is a mistake on Bolt Action Army Builder.
Thanks for the FYI and watching too. Unfortunately, I still haven't had a chance to get these guys on a table. I'll keep the point about initiative training in mind.
No, you have to remember that almost the whole Chinese Nationalist army was trained at least to fight with rifles, machine guns, artillery, and etc. They were just poorly equipped, each soldier was given less than 10 bullets by 1944. But they still knew coordination, when to fire their weapons (as usual mostly), and movement on the battlefield. They are smarter than you think, watch this ruclips.net/video/gt1EYmr4nr8/видео.html And this ruclips.net/video/xUPuoCf6OPM/видео.html
Bonjour mon ami félicitations de FRANCE pour ton travail 👍🇫🇷 Hello my friend very nice figures Chinese Army Magnificent work fot the paintings Congrats buddy 👍
I'm hmmming and hahing over what army to try next. The Hungarians are coming out soon, but I've been looking at the Belgians and Polish too. Then there are the Romanians....I'm also thinking about focusing a little more on other periods.
I love the minis man, where would you recommend getting Chinese forces? I’ve seen some people do conversions of germs forces and Japanese to make Chinese units but are there just standard Chinese soldiers with smgs?
Thanks for the comment. The figures are Copplestone Castings from Back of Beyond and High adventure range. There is a pack of standard Chinese soldiers with SMGs. I think there were 10 in a blister. They're pretty quick to paint too.
Thanks for checking out the video. All of the figures are Copplestone Castings. Back of Beyond Pulp ranges. I don't know if the company is still around or not. These are some pretty old figures. The artillery and crew are Warlord Game's German Heavy Howitzer. Hoped this helped.
Nice army beatifule painted and nice sculpt from cobblestone
Cheers. Yeah, the Copplestone Back of Beyond was (is?) a great range with some really gems. I was lucky to find all of this stuff in a dusty corner of my old gaming store.
Fantastic stuff man, I did a kit bash for my guys. Made my Big sword guys with Orc and tyranid and German pieces.
Thanks! Yeah, this army is a lot of fun to make and I'm surprised there aren't more out there.

Handsome minis and wonderful job, characterful and beautiful miniatures...👍👍
Cheers, Phil. The Copplestone stuff was really fun to paint. It's a lot like Wargames Foundry with nice characterful sculpts. Thank you for watching.
"Bruce Lee Fan Club", LOL! Love this army. This is going to be really fun to play! Beautiful work. Cheers -Eric
Awesome job mate. They look fantastic. A very nice little army and one that’s very unique. Love it. 🙂

Very nice video, lovely looking figures, all the best Garry
Thank you, Garry. I see you're back out in the garage making the sand dunes.
Fantastic work on all the miniatures
Thank you. They'd been sitting in a bag for about a year and I just had to jump in.
Very cool indeed!

JvC Paints Russians are my next project but I don’t paint as well as you do and rattle through them in quick order!
The Russians are a hard slog. I had to do them in groups of 5 to keep a good pace. Looking forward to seeing your guys all done.

Very very cool army. Splendidly painted and gushing with theme. You should be very proud.
Thanks. :)
Stunning work
Thank you, Justin.

This is a beautiful army you have, I might copy it 😜
Thank you very much. I haven't had a chance to play them yet, but the Yaks will save the day someday! lol
Very nice
Thank you. And thank you for the plug and kind words on Facebook too.

Hello my friend very nice figures Chinese Army Magnificent work fot the paintings
Congrats buddy 👍
Merci, Jean Marc. I hope all is well with you in belle France. Looking forward to you next diorama!
Great stuff James. Interesting to see different armies too rather than the usual Germans, British and Americans. 👍
I'm hmmming and hahing over what army to try next. The Hungarians are coming out soon, but I've been looking at the Belgians and Polish too. Then there are the Romanians....I'm also thinking about focusing a little more on other periods.
Just a few options then. 🙂
Nice work
Thank you. Any chance you're going to get back into putting videos up in 2019?
If I get the urge I will. When I do I put one up it will feature completed armies like this one rather than bits and pieces.
I love the minis man, where would you recommend getting Chinese forces? I’ve seen some people do conversions of germs forces and Japanese to make Chinese units but are there just standard Chinese soldiers with smgs?

How many kits did you combine?
Thanks for checking out the video. All of the figures are Copplestone Castings. Back of Beyond Pulp ranges. I don't know if the company is still around or not. These are some pretty old figures. The artillery and crew are Warlord Game's German Heavy Howitzer. Hoped this helped.
@@jvcpaints what would you recommend as kits to combine fot a Nationalist China force?
