Thank you. :) This video, especially the piece at the end about "don't sweat it", was really sweet and refreshing for my soul. You are kind, Shirin, and I so appreciate your video! Bless you. :)
hi! im currently a freshman in usc who got a tranfser option offer to cornell (starting sophomore year) so i was very glad that i found this video :) the transfer process has been very frustrating since cornell requires students like me to take courses that they decide. plus almost everyone around me are telling me that i will not like cornell due to location/weather compared to usc but looking at your video, i truly think i would be able to make valuable experiences at cornell if i transfer !!! thanks again for the insightful video hehee
Great video, I was accept to the scj MBA, I feel a LOT better about it after the video! I am still a bit concerned as I'd like to transition into PE, Cornell is a target school but it seems that they don't have a lot of resources for it compared to VC. But if management consulting prep is going well then they'll have the resources to support a PE transition. Thanks for the vid! subbed.
hello shirin, that is great that you got into cornell in upstate new york. you will be catching the fall season when you start in the fall - it is the show of harvest out in the east. had a friend that went to usc as a law degree - came back to new york and was the measure of what is safe for internet usages. wishing you a good year in cornell - make sure you go apple picking up there - there is no more sand. elle for red leaf
I'm from Socal. Back in the days USC was my top choice, didn't get in, so I chose to go to UC Berkeley instead (to experience a different culture, as opposed to staying put at UCLA). My first semester at Cal made me realize I didn't like my time there, so I spent my second semester planning to transfer to Cornell (Up to this point I had NEVER been anywhere east of Las Vegas). Forgot why Cornell of all places, maybe the pictures looked nice lol. Then when my second year came I completely gave up on that idea and looked up how to study abroad instead. I ended up spending 5 years in college in total, 2 of which were spent studying abroad. Don't know what life would've been like if I transferred to Cornell, but I'm content with my choices
Figure out a way to get into the Hotel Management Program (number one in the entire world) and you can work in any city in any country for any chain you choose.
@@ShirinDinasan Better than any MBA. Higher distinction. So go from the most competitive undergrad college at Cornell, which is Dyson, and go to the least competitive one at Cornell, which is Nolan Hotel School? Um, that would make no sense, in addition to being impossible to do as Cornell won't allow transfers to change undergrad schools.
@@sekenaamin9220 No, I meant after graduation. It’s why I said it would be a better alternative to an MBA if you already have a business degree from a great program.
Hello! Cornell Dyson has also been my dream school for so long. Can I get in contact with you? I'd love some advising as I'll be a current freshman this fall also looking to transfer into Dyson! Would be a dream come true!!

College of human ecology gave me a TO last year. Starting at Cornell in the fall and your video was helpful!
Super exciting, congrats!!

You are really good on camera. I didn't skip anything at all!
Yes, I am transferring out of the University of Hawaii, West-Oahu to SANS Technology Institute for a bachelor’s in cybersecurity. Cheers!
Congratulations! All the best at your new university!
wow I'm an engineering student at Cornell. I considered usc with cornell in high school. Congrats!!

I’m going to Cornell because of you !!
this reminded me of my favorite vlogger gary phan, but he just went off the rails the other week so i think this will be my new favorite vlog channel
HUH
😂
Whaaaat happened to Gary?
great video shirin!
I went to Cornell Hotel School and graduated in 2001. I had a great time there but I think college in LA would have been a lot more fun.
okayyyyy shirin!!
Thanks Sayana!!
I transferred from a four year to four year too! I transferred from sdsu to usc and uts def a diff experience than transferring from a cc

This video was super informative :)) ty
I just subcribed to your channel. Have a nice weekend girl ❤
Is the beach Corona Del Mar?
No way Dyson’s acceptance rate is lower than Wharton’s… Cornell isn’t an M7.
She relied of Poets&Quants which is a joke ranking.
Figure out a way to get into the Hotel Management Program (number one in the entire world) and you can work in any city in any country for any chain you choose.
The hotel school is great! Some of the coolest/most unique classes I've ever seen.

Doubt she will do that. She pretty much trashed Dyson and Cornell and laments her transfer. Cornell should kick her back to lowly USC!

My idol!!! 🎉🎉🎉
i would go to usc over cornell any day lol
But Cornell is “gorgeous.”
(insider Ithaca, NY joke)
USC > Cornell
Cornell is the easiest IVY league to get into. Trojan alumni network is second to none!
@@moisesojeda1085 I don’t suppose you work either on Wall Street, in Silicon Valley, nor London.

YAY shirin ❤
Well, you missed out of the Trojan family ✌️😎. Fight on!
Definitely taken with a grain of salt on that ranking. No way USC business is #1, undergrad or grad. Ahead of Wharton?! Cal is not even on there?
do you mind sharing your stats and ex's?
So fire
LETS GOOOO
The wait is over
Were you never actually a student on campus at USC?
USC is a great campus, enjoy the snow 😂
Do you recommend transferring junior or sophomore
A majority of Cornell transfers are sophomores. However, I think that is pretty specific to Cornell :)
Unless Cornell offered a full free ride, I’d stay put at SC
can u pls read me ur essays
that u sumbbited
👏👏👏
Nice girl ❤
Ithaca is cold. ;)
100%. It's freezing!
Where Northwestern and the University of Chicago are is colder.
If you want a real top business school you should have applied to either Wharton or Haas. Marshall and Dyson are both joke programs.
Bad choice
