- A 3 yo Rise! Mikey accidentally (through some unfortunate events and overly helpful ancestors) ends up in the '03 dimension and gets adopted by 20 yo '03 Raph.

I was starting to tear up towards the end, but that final shot of Mikey’s childhood mural with his brother’s handprints all around it from the many years they waited for him got me crying. Absolutely phenomenal work!!!

@@d4-v1d22 I am in the same hole, though I haven’t gotten to fan fictions yet, I’ve convinced myself that I don’t have time to read them cause it’s the end of the term is coming which includes lots of final projects and exams in a few weeks. Though as soon as winter break hits I’m sure the brain rot which has started will fully consume my brain
I’ve never cried for ANY fandom animatic before until now. That last shot was genius. The way the handprints gets bigger and higher- my whole chest clenched

There's no actual fanfic at the moment, it's mostly just a collection of art/asks on tumblr. Though there are a few ficlets others have written for it having to do with Angelo going back to Rise. There's a link in the description to one post, which should get you to the rest. Thank you! : )

This is such a beautifully made animatic and this AU is so creative, I shed tears watching this and I felt so much emotion seeing rise Mikey grow up with The 2003 brothers

Oh my gosh.. This animatic made me absolutely cry. It is so creative and unique but also so sad. If you ever made this into a story I would 100% read the entire thing. The mural at the end is what truly broke me here.. All those years of waiting. Gosh I'm crying while writing this 😭. 100/10 animatic, thank you for making this.

But in all seriousness, this was super cool and so, very emotional. Not all sad either! Watching mikey grow up and have a happy early life with the 2003 gang was oh so cute. And Donnie gave him his stickers!!! ^w^
(though I'm trying not to think about what rise splinter/raph was feeling during all this. Though I am curious as to how different they'd have grown up as without mikey there to provide rays of sunshine and free therapy lol)
I honestly don't know any of the other turtles, like, at all, but this scenario itself was enough to have me hooked for its entirety. Now... I wonder how they'd all react to each other once he's back? Would someone find him? Or would he go to the sewers because that's what's familiar? And above all, how much would he remember his brothers?
Aah, so much to think about, but I'm definitely rambling at this point. Lovely video, thank you for making it, and I'm probably gonna watch it 10 times over :)
Oh no, you've seen through my ploy of getting more people to watch '03 turtles lol : ) But thank you! and as for how Rise boys reacted/grew up, i've went into it a bit on various asks on tumblr (a link to one is in the description. that should get you to the rest if you're interested. i'll be organizing them soon. rn theyre a mess) But, to answer specifically how Splinter and Raph reacted, basically Splinter was a little more distant once Angelo was gone, and Raph a lot more protective/dependent of his remaining siblings. Thank you!

I started tearing up, this was such a beautifully drawn and created AU! It would be amazing to see Mikey and his brothers reunited in the future, as Mikey could have filled them in on everything, it would be so emotional. Phenomenal work, as I’ll say again. I love this fandom. ❤

This anamatic was so great, idk how ppl get these ideas, but i cried twice during this and the last 3 second clip with mural made me burst out into tears once my brain comprehended what that was. Like ive never cried that fast, and it wasnt like a tear or anything, i just started sobbing.
It made me cry over how Mickley called raph papa!!

THE FACT THAT YOU MADE THE HAND PRINTS DIFFERENT SIZES TO SHOW PASSAGE OF TIME AND THAT THEY STILL DID IT AFTER THEY GREW UP
THE FACT THAT YOU MADE THE SMALLER ONES MORE GRAINY TO SHOW HOW THE PAINT STARTED FADING AWAY. HOW MIKEY'S ONES WERE OUTLINED IN A FRESH COAT OF PAINT SO THAT THE RISE BOYS COULD STILL SEE THE LAST REMNANTS OF THEIR BROTHER
THE FACT THAT YOU ADDED A HUMAN HAND TO SIGNIFY APRIL (I ASSUME) SHOWING UP IN THEIR LIFE, AND HOW SHE PUT HER HAND PRINT ON THE WALL OUT OF RESPECT DESPITE NOT KNOWING MIKEY PERSONALLY!
MIKEY APPEARING IN FRONT OF THE WALL HE LEFT YEARS AGO, SEEING ALL THESE NEW HAND PRINTS AROUND A SILLY FINGER PAINTING HE DID, LETTING HIM REALIZE HIS FAMILY STILL MISSES HIM

Ooooh my god this is incredible!!! The whole piece is so heartwarming, but watching Mikey grow up in another dimension is bittersweet, and then seeing him go home to the mural with his brothers absolutely devastated me, good lord. Your art style and storytelling are so good, really incredible work!!!

Ah, rottmnt Mikey’s 1st portal!!!!! Love seeing the early days and seeing ‘03’s Raphael showing his softer side, wish we saw ’03’s Splinter…… swear he’d be the best grandpa, be quite proud of his Raphael for taking in a “foundling” & how the others acted like uncles/teachers to rottmnt Mikey & maybe them beating up that overgrown alley cat!
