- Hey guys! It's been a phat second since I last posted Rise content so why not? This video was actually several months in the making cause I actually started this animatics process back in February but had to put it on hold because of College. Now that I'm free though, I've been working steadily to make sure that this is something I'm proud of so I hope y'all like it!

I think this is the first time ive seen someone have the person singing zeus' lines cry along with Odysseus. It brings a whole new level of pain and despair. And that person being MIKEY omg it was breathtakingly painful. Wonderful work

I started crying when Mikey started crying. He would never wish harm on a child. Much less an innocent baby! He must feel awful knowing that no matter what happens the baby still has to dead. One life for the sake of millions with no chance of a happy ending.
The fact that Mikey had to deliver the bad news…it makes me cry so hard 😭😭
Oh. My. God. The fighting scenes, how you composed scenes, I can't describe it all well enough, I am just in love, and the song choice GOD yes!!!
was not expecting ever seeing tmnt combined with these songs... And Im not sure if it has made my life better
So, let me get this straight.
From what I understand the rest of the brothers and the survivors are at war with the Krang. Raphael and Splinter is dead. Leonardo leads as the main general for the war and then had a vision of Casey. Changing(?), endangering(?) the future. Consulted to Michelangelo about it and told him that the boy will be an averager as he grow up and will lead to someone's death(Donatello). This can either save or kill them all.
This future (Donatello's death) can be avoided if they end the boys' (Casey's) life. Leo was willing to do so, unfortunately he didn't know that Casey was an infant still and the son of a dear friend.
Now facing a very heavy hearted dilemma of choosing who's life is to save and who will die. Either way someone will have to die. Heart broken, Leonardo begs Michelangelo to not make him choose and if their is another way to save everyone. Unfortunately...
In the End we know what Leo choose. If what we knew of the future in the movie said to what happened to Donnie.
But then again, maybe its just my overthinking brain. 😅
You’re so close! Leo has the vision of Casey falling through the portal from the actual movie. He gets hit with the pain of his fatal injury (hence him holding his side) as well as the Kraang laser that killed him. He has no idea who the grown or infant Casey is until Mikey tells him that he is the son of their deceased friend Cassandra. The reason why Mikey says that Casey must be killed is that he saw the first part of the Movie out of context through his vision and made the conclusion that Casey had betrayed them.

Okay but if I’m being honest I thought that who attacked Leo was Casey at first when we saw from inside Leo’s eye it looked like Casey was attacking him -I was about to go crazy if it was
THIS MUST BE ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I'VE SEEN! Not many animatics are able to play my heart strings like you did with this one. Everything involving the future timelines breaks me because of how dam tragic it is. And as a fan of both Rottmnt and Epic i must say you did incredible! I never imagined Zeus' lines being sung in a non evil/cold hearted context- BUT NO! I think that having the loveable, careing Mikey in Zeus' role makes it even more impactfull on how unwishable is what they must do (tho i would want the context of why they have to kill CJ)
I like how you included Draxum,Sunita,Hypno and Warren (with the last one as Little Ajax, it killed me) or how you made clear that Splinter's also gone, since most people ignore that fact and make Leo's mourning all about his brothers.

I think maybe it's because by throwing CJ into the past to stop the events from ever happening, it practically leads to all of their deaths in the future one, as they effectively erase themselves by having him fix what set them all on this path to begin with, as you can see him falling into the portal that Leo throws him into when Leo sees him in the vision. They save everything, but at the cost of their very existence

I absolutely adore ROTTMNT and am loving the EPIC THE MUSICAL, so to see this animatic makes me so happy and fills me with joy. The way this was drawn and interpreted was amazing. Thank you for this masterpiece.

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD???? Oh I could watch this FOREVER this is immediately one of my favorite animatics of all time!! You absolutely killed it, your art style is phenomenal and meshes so well with the ROTTMNT art style, plus you had such a good grasp on the three-dimensionality of the characters considering the art style is so jagged!! Not to mention the perspective in the fight scene and the twirling camera at the end, you conveyed the space perfectly and it looked incredible!! And then all the details like the intense expressions and the dynamics of the style, not to mention the usage of lighting. This looked so so so good, I can’t even imagine how long it took you. Really fantastic work, I will absolutely be giving this another watch!
