I love how Cap is just relentless here. No circling, no measuring up his opponent, he just attacks again and again. And that’s exactly what’s needed to fight someone like the Winter Soldier.
Rarely have we seen Natasha genuinely fearful of something or someone, she manages to keep her head cool, this shows how ruthless the Winter Solider was
Exactly one of the things that I think really gives the audience a reason to gear bucky is because of how our characters see him. Like if you see Natasha Romanoff scared of him then you know shit just got real!
Well remember she was shot by him before and had to fight him, she knows what he’s capable of. Also knowing he’s someone who has been around since the 50s and seems immortal, I’d be a little scared too, since black widow is only human after all.
Restraint in dialogue is one of the hardest things to write imo. As a writer you naturally want a character to not be mostly mute, cus it's hard to develop them and learn about them, it's a self imposed limiting archetype imo. Very difficult to effectively write, act, and direct. Reminds me of Drive with Ryan Reynolds. Similar in that the character almost never speaks and when he does he's extremely purposefully brief. You don't see stuff like that often.
The Winter Soldier is a PERFECT example of the trope of villains being absolute badasses while evil but becoming weaker when they are good guys. He has never kicked this much ass since this with the exception of when he got mind controlled AGAIN in Civil War!
Because he didn't have Bucky's full conscious holding him back, That's what the brainwashing and conditioning was for, that there wasn't any of Bucky, just a hardened trained. Murderous assassin Hydra could order to kill anyone and he would with staggering effectiveness, it was Bucky's soul and good character that held him back
The reason why he wasn't as scary once he became a "good guy" was precisely because we had no idea what he is. He was one big mystery and the only real thing we knew about him was that he was some sort of bad ass soldier and who could go to toe with, and had no fear of, Capt America. So once you know who he is, the mystery goes away. And secondly, he isn't a bad guy any more, so he isn't going to be as scary. Lets fact it, a scary mysterious bad guy is scarier than a good guy whose back story is know. This is true even if the good guy is stronger. Same thing happen with Loki, Loki was terrifying at the beginning, and once he became a good guy (or at least someone who has good tendencies even if he has some evil in him), he wasn't as terrifying anymore.
@@kraken5838 in my opinion no, it's this one, the winter soldier imposes a lot, he's very sinister, and that improves the fight, you feel a lot of tension throughout the fight, and the choreography is perfect, this fight is better

In nwh Tobey’s spiderman just stops Toms spiderman from killing Norman Osborn which was stupid and killed off the built up tension. Green goblin was a menace and should’ve been killed imo
@@omegarugal9283I mean sure but 1 he pointed a gun at Steve twice and 2 the only thing that stopped him from shooting him twice were outside sources and not Steve himself.
The time where Captain America became an action star from being a funny-costumed superhero. I will never stop thanking the Russo Brothers for this decision
The Russo Brothers and James Gunn really kickstarted the idea of making each marvel movie hero have their own unique film styles and themes, right when the MCU was floundering with IM 2-3 and Thor 2 which were much more generic and copycat with mixed reviews, I'd say they are the reason the MCU still manages to keep going without slowing down years later
it is Seb's stunt double. If you look closely, the stunt double's hair is actually red-ish compared to Seb's actual hair, dark brown. And when TWS did the knife flip, right around here 0:45 , you'll see that it is in fact his double.
No wizards. No gods. No aliens. No multiverse. Just great story with intense action scenes, great choreography, amazing characters without cheesy lines and "wannabe funny" scenes. Still the best MCU movie. Fury's chase scene, the elevator scene, this scene, Steve and Bucky's final fight... The tone of this movie is just different. It's not a comedy, but a thriller-like masterpiece.
I thought secret invasion was gonna have a moment like this when Nick Fury explained why he wasn't getting the Avengers. Nope....it was just one huge disappointment. The series started off well and gave off some old-school mcu vibes, but it just got worse and worse.
Anyone else notice how Steve switches the shield at 1:30? Shields are traditionally used in a defensive posture in the non-dominant hand, but he realises he's going to have to use it as an offensive weapon, so he switches it to his right hand, planning to use it to damage Bucky's arm and then everything he does from there is to try to get outside Bucky's stance so he can use it. It's _ridiculously_ detailed choreography.
I'm just here to remind everyone that the knife flip on 0:50 is 100% authentic, and the actor, Sebastian Stan did all this by himself without visual effects and stunt doubles.
Yeah, I've seen videos where he's flipping the knife, and he is very skillful. He said he practiced at home and in his car until it was perfect. That being said, the stunt double is used quite a lot in this scene. Unless you slow the video down, it may be difficult for most people to tell whether it's Sebastian or his stunt double. You have to look at the eyebrows and hairline to see the difference. The knife fight izzz truly amazing, though.
Little did Howard know that Hydra would crash his car, violently smash his face with a metal arm until he dies and then choke the life out of his his wife.....
The Winter Soldier's presence is just perfect. He's not a big evil mastermind, or alien titan, he's just a guy, seemingly like everyone else. His abilities don't come from a massive army or crazy superpowers, but great skill, a large arsenal of weapons and a touch of superhuman strength. He doesn't put on a big show, reveal his face or even talk, he gets straight to action. The mere sight of him is enough to let you know you're fucked.
@@Deathcardcodwaw Which is crazy considering how much Widow has survived in her lifetime being only human, atleast falcon has gadgets and super equipment. Widow and Clint(Hawkeye) have it the worst with only basic human weaponry and their martial and tactical skills.
You realize his abilities come from the same serum as Cap... right? Also, Black Widow is a badass trained assassin. It's silly to call her just a regular person. Hawkeye has borderline superhuman accuracy with any weapon he picks up. Still not fair to call him a regular person. This is no different than saying Stark is just a regular person without the suit. He was still the, like, 2nd or 3rd smartest person on earth, only behind Pim and maybe Peter Parker or Banner. Most of the Avengers are just regular people with really advanced tech. Iron Man has his suits. Cap and Bucky have the serum. Banner has Hulk, resulting from trying to copy the same serum given to Cap. Hawkeye and Widow have badass weaponry and the skill to back it up. Falcon has his flight pack. Starlord and Rocket just have alien tech. Gamora and Nebula have been augmented with alien tech. Hardly any of the heroes aren't just regular humanoids with really advanced tech. Even the ones that do have powers are a result of some tech being used on them that gave them powers. The ones that do have natural powers of their own are alien races, like Draxx, Mantis, Thor, etc. No suspension of disbelief required. They've spent dozens of movies telling us why the heroes are as strong as they are, and yall keep getting your heads caught up your butts hoping on the WiDoW bAd bandwagon channels like CinemaSins create. Now go cry on your blogs about how Thanos folded Hulk in the movie that establishes Thanos is stronger than Hulk.
Many comments about the knife flip (deservedly so!). What i'd like to add is how much I appreciate they didn't use slow motion for it 🙏 This scene demanded the audiences attention and seeing everything play out in what at least seemed like real-time is an excellent approach
Winter Soldier was the scariest MCU villain purely because of how relentless he is. He’s not the most powerful, but it’s like fighting a killing machine. He just never stops coming at you no matter what you do. No breaks, no dialogue, just violence.
In order, I'd say Winter Soldier is the best in the MCU, followed closely by Iron Man, and then Avengers Infinity War. I would put Spiderman 2 above Iron Man if it was included in the MCU
The fact that Natasha, the Black Widow, the world's greatest spy and former assassin, was terrified of the Winter Soldier is enough to tell how much of a threat he is.
Out of curiosity, what are the other 2? I'm guessing it goes: 1. Green Goblin vs. Spiderman (apartment fight / Shield fight) 2. Shang Chi vs. Death Dealer 3. Cap vs. Winter Soldier
After watching this, I understand why it seems like Bucky is nerfed. Looks like Winter Soldier focuses on guns, knives, and killing blows with his metal arm. When we see Bucky fighting, hes focusing on hand to hand combat. That, coupled together with Bucky holding back to prevent killing anyone, it makes sense that Bucky is weaker then before. I think with some more martial arts training and getting used to non-lethal combat, he'll be as capable as Steve was.
So true, i think its cause the winter soldier is stronger than bucky (when its no kind games holding back, bucky is holding back, the winter soldier isnt)
@@Raydnt69 yeah bucky could use some martial arts to compliment his fight style since he was trained as an killer/assassin and not a complete face-to-face combatant like steve was
It’s good but it absolutely is NOT one of the best😂 have you ever watched the raid 1 and 2? That will make you realise where this sits when it comes to hand 2 hand fight scenes
@@kyan3597 doesn't make much sense though. He moves the knife to the other hand, his now empty hand is blocked by shield but his knife hand is free to attack, and he instead attacks with his empty hand when he could've stabbed Steve. Why did he switch the knife if he wasn't going to use it?
This scene alone doesnt feel like a superhero movie, no fancy hero outfits, just two highly skilled fighters with an edge of their own brawling intensely with a sense of realism.
My take is a little different. The specific techniques they are doing, are still possible for humans, even if they involve highly skilled humans. But the way they did they fought with these techniques were super human. They were stronger, and faster ,better timing, etc. They fought within the same dimensions as a human, but further in these dimensions than what is humanly possible. It reminds me of Achille's from Helen of Troy, sure, the specific moves he makes were something a human can do, but he was a little too fast, his timing a little too perfect (or possibly blessed or lucky) than something a mere human could do.
Plenty of superhero movies focus on single combat. Batman has top physical conditioning but he has no super strength so most of his movies involve hand-to-hand fighting.
The way Black widow acted to getting shot was pretty believable. From impact to realization, it's these small details that go unnoticed that make a great movie.
so Cap struggles against winter soldier's metal arm punch, where spider-man easily stops his punch with one arm. then again spider-man struggles against Cap's strength. Little details huh?
0:08 The way Natasha was gasping in terror actually shows us how threatening The Winter Soldier was at that time. I have never seen Nat being scared to death...!!
Anyone else wanted to see more of this Ruthless Bucky? Because even if he is good now and trying to do better, he still would have the same kind of combat skills, aka the deadly once
He still does but I think what's making him weaker is that he's holding himself back. He's not trying to kill anyone anymore. Like with his fight with John he probably could have won if all he was trying to do was kill him and take the shield.
that's always was really bothered me he is so good with hand to hand combat, i thought in wakanda he will free his mind but as soon as the fights starts he snaps into the winter soldier that would've made him far more dangerous
1:41 No matter how many times I watch it, this scene still gives me chills, I mean imagine that the guy that just tried to kill you was actually your best friend that you thought was dead!
0:46 - 0:56 Bra I can’t get over this phenomenal Hand to Hand combat performance scene done here. The way WS throws his knife in the air for a millisecond to test CA’s reflexes was trying to pinpoint an opening through his defenses was amazing
Agreed. Sebastian does such good acting with his eyes too. His demeanor until Cap lays a punch and then the spin kick was relatively cool. After that he was angry lol.
genuinely the best fight of the MCU by a thousand country miles, the way he uses the knife, and then the sound effect of vibranium without any music is so epic
Can we just point out this proves how powerful steve actually is, his fighting style completely changes, in most of his fights hes fighting to stop them, in this he was fighting for his life, and his style of hand to hand combat completely shifted from hero to genuinly trying to survive.
The winter soilder is by far the biggest challenger captain America faced in regular combat. and that says a lot about his skill. Every other villian, cap was able to bring them down with minimal effort. but winter soilder legitimately gave him a run for his money, besting him multiple times throughout the film and actually making him sweat. not a lot of super hero movies do that. they may have the hero lose once or maybe twice but they made cap lose maybe 4 or 5 times in the winter soilder. you know a villian is formidable if they can beat you multiple times in a row.
After watching more hand to hand fight scenes over the years, I found out that the reason this fight scene works so well is that they barely even hit each other. Both Steve and The Winter Soldier know that a well connected hit can result in a loss so they do everything in their power to block each other's attacks. They don't just mindlessly attack each other and pop back up in a repetitive exchange of hits
@@zephyrr108 I think they mean They’re not just going at each other to the point where they’re bloody and then getting back up and continuing to fight. They’re actually just blocking each other here. You do see both of them getting in some hits here and there but for the most point they’re blocking. It’s great hand to hand. Steve can’t fully disarm Bucky when he has the knife, Bucky can’t fully disarm Steve with the Shield.
@@sammiepittman3130 I mean... Bucky did disarm Steve when he had the shield (the first time) but you're right about everything else. Most fights either make it way too obvious that the actors are aiming for each other's weapons (instead of using weapons to hit the person) or just swinging wildly at the air around them, or neither even tries to block and almost every hit connects and yet both characters stay standing way longer than they should have because they have plot armour. In this fight, every hit looks like both fighters are genuinely trying to connect each blow and the other is forced to dodge, block or deflect. And sure, if a regular person tried to shank Captain America I imagine he has so much muscle mass that you genuinely couldn't do much damage even if he straight up let you do it. You'd be lucky for the blade to even go deep enough to hit an organ. But Bucky has enough force to put behind that blade that he can do real damage with it. A slash wound wouldn't have stopped Steve but ANY of the attempts to stab him would have instantly won Bucky the fight if they'd landed. Knowing that Bucky can hurt Steve and seeing him actually trying is why this fight is so tense. It sounds so basic and yet most movies fail at this.
The Sensation and enjoyment comes from the low frame rate. If it were filmed in a higher frame rate you’d be expecting much more perfection. Also, there’s an actual purpose for this fight compared to other not so serious fights
Shang-Chi and Iron fist were pitiful compared to Winter Soldier in this scene, now this Guy Is Dangerous!! If the mouse 🐁 company would Drop off the map, Marvel could return to making Comic book based movies without a agenda for the who people or the NEA to brain Wash our children.
Chris Evans has some of THE BEST facial expressions in the MCU! He really sells this scene since we don’t get to see Sebastian’s face until the end! Definitely in the top 5 of all time Marvel movies!
For me, I started to suspect that it was Bucky when they goggles came off. Keep in mind, I only watched this in 2020 and I hadn’t seen the credits or watched any other stuff so I didn’t know Bucky was alive before watching.
That punch from Bucky after he let the knife drop to his other hand is underrated, he was able to out strategize Cap for a few seconds which is nearly impossible to do
And it was a meaty fucking punch too. Def must’ve rattled Cap for a moment. A testament to how strong his jaw is that he still managed to stay focused.
I always actually found that bit to be a little stupid personally, once he dropped the knife to his left hand he could've killed Cap right there had he attempted to use it, but instead he goes to punch him with his right hand, it doesn't make any sense
@@JorgeSilva-ny8du But the knife drop is literally used for an unexpected stab, and Cap had both arms on his shield, so it would've made more sense to follow through with the stab attempt, it's the best opportunity he gets in the entire fight
As the winter soldier he’s not allowed to think in these situations only focus on the fight so he is extremely dangerous, which is why when Steve said Bucky, his conscious came back a little for him to think but ultimately still try and finish the job
He is lol that’s what happens when your experimented tortured and face near death does plus he was brainwashed hardddd core u can say it’s a split personality
The reason why everyone loves captain america : the winter soldier Is the how they made the movie the whole movie had a serious tone and had only few funny scenes it was really different from other mcu films
Yeah, not dark enough to be a DC movie lol but just right. I wish they did that with endgame. All the joking in endgame really spoiled it for me. I get that they’re trying to make the best of the characters who are going to die/end but they’re literally trying to bring back half the population and one mistake could completely destroy the plan. On the other hand, Thor: ragnarok and ant man and the wasp are two of my favorites (the wither soldier will always be number 1) and their biggest strength is the upbeat, funny vibe that the movies set. I think it just depends on the movie
@@DTCAllOver Yeah Thor Ragnarok is a great funny movie, just didn't fit Thor at all for me. Turned thor into some dumb surfer dude, the jokes just kept on coming non stop and serious moments didn't feel emotional or serious at all as a result. Example: Korg making a joke within 2 seconds of Asgard being destroyed, Thor and Loki's home of 1500 years. Just not the type of tone or feel I wanted from a Thor movie, I'd have liked something more like epic fantasy since it is inspired by Norse gods and the type, which I think the first film did a decent job of capturing at times, but dark world was literally too dark and boring.

Winter Soldier was unique in the MCU. No shoehorned jokes or romances, not parallel timelines, no magic or aliens, just a very tightly paced, well written and self contained story, with top of the shelf choreography and action sequences. I doubt the MCU will ever be this good again.
It came out before "marvel movie" was a genre. Now they're all shoehorned into being 70% the same movie with different coats of paint. Winter Soldier is a straight up spy thriller and it's exceptional because of that.
You can make the case for a lot of scenes in the MCU, it is a brilliant universe. Thor’s entrance in Infinity War could definitely be in the conversation too.
I still think this is the best MCU movie, one of the main reasons being there’s not 50 different characters in it. This means there’s more room for things like character development, and a more linear plot. On top of that, you got these kickass amazingly choreographed fights (with this being no exception), a fantastic villain, and it has less of that dumb MCU humor (it’s fine from time to time, but sometimes, they just go too far with the humor). And I stand by this claim in 2024 :)
@@RicJiang through the window you mean?! He's a super soldier and Winter Soldier serum was crazy too. On top of Bucky having a metal arm. Imagine if he had that arm made of Adamantium, Uru, Dargonite or even Vibranium (which Infinity War does ofcourse but good guy Bucky isn't Winter Soldier with the mind control, straight up massacre man), I'm sure that's the case in some continuities of the comics. I'm more of a DC comic guy, never had access to Marvel except Raimis Spiderman only,
A year late, but it was totally impressive. We’re also talking about the guy who was a sniper in WW2, with a Sergeant rank, got a serum that enhanced the skilled marksmanship he already had, THEN you got the added years of being trained as an assassin. I always think about the Nick Fury scene cause unless he had a thermal scope (which the building was brick I believe?) he shot Nick Fury accurately while he was walking towards Steve, unable to actually see him. He just used Steve’s body language to gauge where Fury was at.
@@grimmywizard Posted a year ago but I'm just now seeing this - I wanted to point out that Adamantium and Vibranium are the same element, technically. They don't exist in the same universes, and occupy the same spot in the periodic table. They're slightly different in capability, I believe, and that's more of a universe-specific thing, but scientifically they're the same element.
I love it when a fight scene tells a story, and Cap's technical progression from First Avenger to Winter Soldier is just fun and cool to follow. In the first movie he is all about boxing and wrestling, old school moves, and here it shows that he's been learning other martial arts and improving his skills, from the spinning jump kick to the flying knee and kip up. His enhanced biology and physique gives him the perfect timing, speed and force, so he can really use many of the moves that would be considered too flashy for real combat for a baseline human.
It's sad that we will never be able to see this badass Bucky.......it would have been awesome if they showed just a little bit of this winter soldier in the falcon and winter soldier
0:52. It sounds like Captain America has received vigorous training which is why Steve had the ability to fight highly effectively. Nothing much to say but that was so hard to fight like that.
It makes sense if you think about it. In their evil phase they aren't hindered by compassion and empathy. They see a target, a mission. Changing from that to wanting to make a good impression in people's eyes, you probably will have to resort to pulling your punches.

0:50 Sebastian actually learned to flip the knife that cleanly. I wish they didn't do shaky cam bc the actors and the stunt doubles did an amazing job doing the choreography that it would have looked amazing with a still camera.
I don't like most of the newer marvel films because it's just fucking toooooo much you don't need a ten times stronger and bigger villain with unrealistic abilities in every movie. They kept the superpowers on a lower level in this movie which made it one of the best
0:39 The Winter Soldier has always been my absolute favorite-- I love the way he just fights relentlessly and gets it done. Silent and mysterious, quick and fearless. I do wish more fight scenes were like this, and that they would make a movie just about the Winter Soldier, because I kind of miss seeing the more serious side of the movies, that make them who they are...
The Winter Soldier is one of the best MCU movies out there; it can actually stand alone outside of the other movies. And the fight sequences are raw, exciting, and well choreographed. The whole sequence, which begins with the attack on the freeway leading right up to this fight between Cap and the WS is great. Though labeled as a super hero movie, this is actually a well done action/spy/espionage movie, on par with a good Mission Impossible or James Bond movie.
Love this scene. Seriously though, Sebastian Stan has the most expressive eyes. You can see the “deadness” when he’s the Winter Soldier and you can see the turmoil when he’s Bucky.
I remember hearing before that some people didn’t like the shaky camera or the constant cutting to different angles. But honesty it sets the pace so well and gives such an immersive feel. You can see that it’s a fast paced fight because of it and when cap threw Bucky near the end, all the cameras started to calm down
Also it's not like the Bourne movies where you can't tell what's going on cause of the shaky cam, you can tell what's happening in the scene. Also gives you a bit of an insight into Cap's headspace of how freaked out by this guy he is
@@cabnbeeschurgrNah, Bourne movies' timing for the quick cut editing is perfect, it doesn't try to hide any stunt work and it works. Another reason why the shaky cam technique works in the Bourne trilogy is that the camera is used in conjunction with other techniques such as editing, sound design, and choreography. These techniques work together to create a cohesive and immersive experience, adding to the tension and intensity of the action scenes. I've seen the Bourne movie many times and it's definitely the better use of shaky cam alongside with The Winter Soldier here If you want to see a very poor editing style in an action movie, try watch Taken 3 or Colombiana, now that's a movie where you absolutely cannot tell what the hell is going on because the actors are clearly not invested with the action scenes that they're working on so the quick cut editing was used to hide poor stunt work
Most movies just use shaky cam and quick cutting to hide sub-par choreography. They fail to realize that these are tools, not blueprints to film scenes. But in this movie they clearly had perfect choreography, and THEN they decided to add these effects in, to portray how intense and confused Nat and Cap are during the fight. So yeah this movie and the Bourne movies kind of understood that while something like Taken does not.

Murderous assassin Hydra could order to kill anyone and he would with staggering effectiveness, it was Bucky's soul and good character that held him back
It’s because Bucky has morals and holds back. The winter soldier does not.
@@BrodyReyno Spiderman holds back too but he isn't lame when he does it.
If Spider-Man became evil, he wouldn't hold back, and the team would very much struggle to deal with him.

A decade later and Captain America: The Winter Soldier is STILL cooked well done. The first time the MCU really stepped up its game post-Avengers.
The time where Captain America became an action star from being a funny-costumed superhero. I will never stop thanking the Russo Brothers for this decision
And what about composer henry jackman
The Russo Brothers and James Gunn really kickstarted the idea of making each marvel movie hero have their own unique film styles and themes, right when the MCU was floundering with IM 2-3 and Thor 2 which were much more generic and copycat with mixed reviews, I'd say they are the reason the MCU still manages to keep going without slowing down years later

He is definitely a super soldier like cap. The only ones that aren't is widow and the falcon

Adam Sandler's next Netfix original movie is "Hustel," a basketball comedy that pairs the actor with acclaimed "We the Animals" helmer Jeremiah Zagar.
After watching more hand to hand fight scenes over the years, I found out that the reason this fight scene works so well is that they barely even hit each other. Both Steve and The Winter Soldier know that a well connected hit can result in a loss so they do everything in their power to block each other's attacks. They don't just mindlessly attack each other and pop back up in a repetitive exchange of hits
sus mogus
Barely hit each other?
All I'm saying is this what men want to see a series hand to hand combat.

Just not the type of tone or feel I wanted from a Thor movie, I'd have liked something more like epic fantasy since it is inspired by Norse gods and the type, which I think the first film did a decent job of capturing at times, but dark world was literally too dark and boring.

@@Messilover140 I love Daredevil and it's fight scenes, especially the one hallway ones. But i feel like sometimes their punches feels soft. Like in S2, The prison fight scene with Punisher, when he headbutted that person it looked like he didn't even hit him

Even after 7 years Winter Soldier still scared the fuck out of me with his metal arm, knife flipping, and chill music.
they should make a winter soldier movie from his past exploits as an evil guy for hydra.
Still to this day the MCU have not come close to creating an antagonist as intimidating as the winter soldier.

I'm 100% sure it's the one of the best fighting scene in all MCU. Looks real and exciting. No spellings and "superforces". The fight choreography is amazing!
Winter Soldier was unique in the MCU. No shoehorned jokes or romances, not parallel timelines, no magic or aliens, just a very tightly paced, well written and self contained story, with top of the shelf choreography and action sequences.
I doubt the MCU will ever be this good again.
even back when it came out, I knew this was where the MCU peaked
Winter Soldier is a reflection of both what makes a good soldier and most of the 21st century being a manipulation of a shadowy group

Especially on Thor Ragnorok, that movie genuinely wasn’t that enjoyable because it was too funny for my liking.

I just realized tha he shot her instead of the window 😂
And funny how that’s supposed to be his wife comics wise
All this time has passed, and yet this is still the best MCU fight ever. Perfection

Nothing much to say but that was so hard to fight like that.
Characters like these are way too strong when they are in their Evil phase, but get immediately nerfed when they turn to the good side lmao
Just like the video games 😂😂

It makes sense if you think about it. In their evil phase they aren't hindered by compassion and empathy. They see a target, a mission. Changing from that to wanting to make a good impression in people's eyes, you probably will have to resort to pulling your punches.
@@zaanredelinghuys191 yea tru but in falcon and the winter soilder its like bucky lost all his fighting skills he literally lost to inexperienced power broker’s whatever there called like it’s kinda embarrassing when you have 90 years of experience and you get shit on like that. like i get that he couldn’t control his own mind but still you should still be able to fight especially when you go toe to toe with captain America

@Justin Gary Bucky lost because, bucky was holding back. Winter soldier is not one who holds back. He got way more experience than John walker. Plus, winter soldier can overpower captain america when he is using 2 hands, while bucky is using only 1 hand. So he is stronger than John walker.
I've seen the Bourne movie many times and it's definitely the better use of shaky cam alongside with The Winter Soldier here
If you want to see a very poor editing style in an action movie, try watch Taken 3 or Colombiana, now that's a movie where you absolutely cannot tell what the hell is going on because the actors are clearly not invested with the action scenes that they're working on so the quick cut editing was used to hide poor stunt work
Most movies just use shaky cam and quick cutting to hide sub-par choreography.
Hoping new captain america movie has more of this tone and these kinds of fights. It makes it so much better
