What if the soul that was trapped in the bird cage was us, like, the player. Cause I’m the beginning you make a vessel, so what if “Kris” was your unwilling vessel who finally rid of you.
Plus everyone in town makes comments about how Kris isnt acting like themselves. They're never that talkative, they usually love playing mean-spirited pranks on others, they're considered creepy/shy depending on who asks, they usually have to be told by their mom to do something nice (excluding that they seem to get along with the people in the diner and are known to play music in the clinic and used to hang out with Asriel's friend group), they should know what something is because it's theirs or they wrote in it, etc. It all just seems to be leading up to the fact that we stole the body (accented by the fact the game already had a save file for Kris before you overwrit it in the dark world). Still can't be sure if that scene at the end isnt just there for shock value or a dream or something. Or maybe that destroying the fountain had consequences, because the description of Kris certainly doesnt come off as full on murdery.
Doing a genocide run in this game is actually impossible, sure you can attack people. But instead of dying they'll run away, you can't even defeat K.round without sparing him in the end because he'll just keep healing himself, so you still can't technically attack EVERYONE so they'll run away. When you defeat the king the people won't come to help you, but you'll still go home and your main squad are still your friends nonetheless. Resetting doesn't do anything either, and the game will just go on as you want it to, you'll even get the same ending with Kris going rouge and yeeting the soul into the bird cage. So yeah, Toby really has done an excellent job of making it apparent that in this world, your choices really don't have any significant meaning. I don't even think Kris yeeting your soul into the cage is really a "Chara possession thing either". You, as the player, and the soul, are controlling Kris, Kris is sick of you controlling him all the time and doesn't want you to keep interfering with his life anymore, this is noticeable when the nurse in the hospital points out that you look sick, and Noelle points out that you're not usually talkative, the knife is to pick at the lock/ and or do the sliding in between the the crack on Toriel's door to unlock it and steal the chocolate. (that last part was a joke by the way) but yeah, very exciting stuff. (I'd also like to point out that I think sans asking how you are, and the option of choosing "Great to see you again" was a trick to see if the "anomaly" aka you, can exist in other timelines like this one, so he can make plans and gather information about this "anomaly" which is why he's gonna let you hang out with his brother, to see if you'll befriend such a "weird kid" like him....but that's just a theory)
WAIT WAIT so if no body know ANYONE in deltarune WHAT IF Undertale is Secretly whats happend AFTER the monster get sealed undergroud and sans brother is only a baby bones and catty and batty become friends after relising they have a simmiler taste in style but i gues my theory wouldn't work all that well since azzy is not a kid anymoreand a few other things but if delta run came after realsing the monsters why would no one remeber reach other so nobles think your right its gotta be a new time line.,. God damn it! Plot twist, Lancer's supposed to be the prince your traveling with, Ralsei's the bad guy, and Kris was the human that sealed the monsters underground. (Last one's a bit of a stretch but I'd like to take Lancer joking about how Ralsei can be the bad guy a little more seriously.)

Once I seen 'Kris'/Chara it makes me think that in Chapter 2 they may gonna hurt alot of people. But I haven't watched all of this but I wonder if this was replayed and you went pacifist would it be different? If it was pure blooded genocide would be different? Or while progressing through out the chapters would it actually effect the whole game since this was only Chapter 1? How many Chapters will be there? What is Kris going to do since they ripped their soul out of themself? Would Susie and the Prince of Darkness ( idk how to spell their name) know the complete difference? Will Sans have a big part in this SINCE in Undertale he remembered all of the timelines? So many questions but not enough answers!!!

Not to spoil anything but sadly genocide is actually impossible in Deltarune. Nobody can actually die. There is a secret boss though. In the castle, the elevator said *three* locations, including "??????".

oh and you don't have a choice to say yes or no to Susie saying lets say bye to them. it just jumps right in! I haven't seen anybody post a video with the ending that I saw....should I post it?
Nah, the ending you and they got was totally normal. Your ending happens when you or Susie get away with attacking someone, and or not warning all of the enemies, TheNobles warned and spared everyone so that's how they got this ending.
My theory is that this happened Before the monsters where put underground. Evidence: for one undyne didn't have her eye patch that she got when the where underground, and she didn't know her lover ( or future lover ).

Toby Fox confirmed that DeltaRune is a different world all together. It has nothing to do with the original Undertale game.
