Wow a couple of legends 👏. Those are some amazing tractors 😊. What an older fellow honest straight shooter and humble .
A man of few words.... Beautiful Tractor.
I’m sure there are lots of people besides myself who have spent their lives working with every series from the letter tractors to the 88 series.
My favorite series were the 66’s.
These are real tractors I rather have them than a 1000 New ones that are made today
Pete, that tractor looks great, and Carmen should be proud. What a tough old bugger at 90 years old! That 1566 looks really sharp and I look forward to seeing the sale video.
I RAN A 1466. International 5 years great tractor had the power to get the job done.
That is better than any new tractor that you can buy now
Having been in one, and operated machines made between the 60s and early 90s, I have to question somewhat your claims. A well done 21st Century tractor is mechanically and ergonomically much superior. Put it this way, you likely won't want to run that 1566 for 8 hours after running a new Magnum for 18 (not that you should routinely be running anything that long repetitively.)
Rate on, I'm 20 and the one and only like me in my generation, I was born 100 years to late.
Me too, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one!
dobbie campbell same good to hear a few of us about to keep them running
So cool, beautiful machines with such low hours. Totally get the concept of I liked the first 806 so well I bought another one. Dad had a '65 model 806, miss that tractor somewhat terrible. I would definitely get another one!
My Uncle had a 1066 with a year around cab, it was like sitting in a tuning fork.
Good luck Carmen,I hope you have a great day on Thursday.
The best tractor is an international tractor all of them are the best
What an amazing find and story again Greg. Thank you for sharing with us.
Right on, May 17 is my brother's birthday. Killer looking tractor.
This is one auction I hope you cover and post on RUclips. Including the equipment which from this video looks equally as good of condition. Thanks.
Such a shame the 1566 had that bastard Hiniker cab on it. It'd be so much more of a gem if it had a factory IH cab. And it's got no PTO at all! Machinery Pete should have asked the owner about that cab and the PTO.
Mr . Pete spread the word on geoengineering , look up and watch the plains then the weather , nice tractor
Well it's 2022, I guess Mr. Carmen is gone, he seems like a very nice person ,old school,,,,like me when I buy a machine it's part of my family.you could tell he really didn't want a sale.
That's awesome be sure to let us know what it brings
Will do John. I'll be there and shoot RUclips video of the 1566 selling on Thursday's auction....should be fun day at the sale :-)
Oh that is one nice 66 series tractor but those cabs were torture chambers. We had a 1066 and a 1466 as I was growing up and I can attribute a better part of my hearing loss to those beasts.
That's one area where I have to give the boys in Moline credit. Their cab was more livable, despite its flaws (center post and entry point.)
Beautiful tractors for sure! I have a 66 706 with a cab like what's on the middle 806. I can't find any info on this style of cab with the bifold doors. Anyone know who made them? I believe they were only made in 1966. TIA, Ron
@@ronwilson2899 is it perhaps a Cozy Cab?
Wow that tractor is solid
hopefully it'll brink 50 plus. Just like any other sale, line the moon, the people, moods and weather, and anything can happen with excellent equipment
That 1566 looks great. Guessing it gave less trouble than the 86 series...
Awesome video!
Great tractors
I like those hiniker cabs on them. We had a 1206 with a hiniker and I think they look especially good with them. I am partial I am sure.
They look restored did he give them canadian under coat the ones at the dealers dont have paint in that shape the rims and lugs have no rust look beter then brand new
So they did come with all the glass in them. I've never see one.
How many hours would be on a well used one of these?
Awesome machines. Any chance of you finding out if that '64 806 has the original IH model RD fuel pump on it? Those are pretty rare anymore. I got one in the shed with it still.
what did it sell for ?
Greg, Im very interested to see what the tractors and combine bring. I noticed the 1566 doesn't have a PTO.
Yes I noticed that too, that seems very odd to me ,but I haven't been a farm boy for over 40 years. Is it odd or am I just green behind the ears?
mrbakerskatz Probably just a tillage tractor. Those only came with 1000 RPM PTOs anyway. What I find odd is the green combine among the red tractors.
BarnyardEngineering Well I guess it proves it is never to late to right your ways lol
nice tractors ...does anyone know where i can get a door for the cab of my IH .... i cant find one where i am thanks
Farmers must be pretty rich that they can buy 3 tractors and a combine that they didn't need. Must be a half a million bucks in today's money..
I'd probably look at your house and driveway of vechiles and say the same thing. He worked hard all his life. Now he's calling it quits at 90. I'm always amazed how people depict the farmer as rich. Some are wealthy most get by. Now the farms that have been in the family 3 generations they should be doing better than the average farmer. But it's not their fault they kept their priorities straight. I applaud them.
He retired in 1977. Farmed 120 acres for awhile in the 90s, the tractors and combine have been in the shed and started twice a year.
How much did that 1566 sell for with 465 he's?
Awesome!
No PTO, interesting
cultivating tractor a puller smaller tractors for pto equipment
Googled it. Tractor sold for 45,000.
Here's the video I posted of it selling on the auction for $45,000 7 years ago: ruclips.net/video/p-rGKdbVCnY/видео.html
How funny he just retired in 1977 and this tractor is 1975 and here we are in this shit hole 2020
Keep your tractors... let them sell them at your estate sale.... that's your family you earned them... good luck old timer.... keep your powder dry
Does this tractor not have a PTO?
I noticed that too I don't think that one dose
Why would a tractor have a Parent-Teacher Organization?
That guys cooked lol
