I’m actually a John Deere guy, but this is a beautiful collection. This guy has restored these to immaculate condition. Great job.
One grandfather was a John Deere farmer, the other was a Farmall farmer. I have driven an M, an H and a BN.

First diesel tractor I ever drove on the farm, the International 706. Enjoyed driving this powerful tractor back in its day. Going from driving an International 450 and the old "M" tractors it was like driving a new Cadillac plus the shaded buggy top. Enjoyed after a days work steering/ traveling past my old girlfriends house sipping on a RC cola I bought at the corner store going home ! The days that were !

Very cool collection with some fools stories. I have an uncle with an original 966 Blackstripe he bought new. He’s rolled the clock over on it and it’s still working. Dad always talks of grandpa’s F-30 with the extra throttle notch on the lever for cultivating corn haha. I would love to have that 1206 around the farm. Good stories from the old days switching over to tractors.

On my family’s farm we had an 826 Hydro Demonstrator with the gold hood and fenders. If you get one of those hydrostatics stuck, either pull it out in neutral or spin the tires faster than its moving. We ruined two hydrostats before learning that.

Those are some beautiful tractors you have there. We have a regular (non-black stripe) 1974 966 Hydro International Harvester that my dad bought in 1986 and it has been an excellent tractor. I like the 86 series that came out in 1977, but IMHO don't think they were as good as the 66 series.

Very nice collection and very nice video segment on this happy and wonderful family. The shop and everything in it sets the right atmosphere for such a nice collection and hobby. All I have is a 1983 JD 4250 powershift and some large and very large old JD dealership signs for my small collection. Now have my eyes on a 1990 JD 4255 Powershift with 3838 hours that has a great need of a wax and buff job to make #2 for my small collection....I hope!

My dad told about a local man who would go around to the area farms and buy up enough cattle to fill a railroad car. He thought he was a little more important than the dirt farmers because he was a cattle buyer. My dad took him out to show him which cows he wanted to sell. On the way back to the house they were driving towards the wire gate and the guy was thinking about something else and looked up in time to holler whoa! whoa! as he drove through the gate. They stopped and fixed the fence and he was so embarrassed about it he asked dad to not tell anyone. Dad just laughed every time he told that story. This happened about 1930 so not too far away from the time when you drove a team of horses.

besides the real old one's most of those tractors need jobs other than being decorations. Collect stamps or something, some of us are still working with 806's and 966's, etc. and running 2 stroke Detroits in trucks and skidders.

“Drewes” is a popular surname here in Ohio. However it’s pronounced with an old Bavarian dialect. Drey-vis. I think the “w” was pronounced as a double “v”. Not sure though.
