For the sevagoth deluxe skin. I didn’t like it until I swapped its helmet for the luciferge helmet and went with an Aztec mythology theme and although it’s very funky it rocks.
1:07:10 ABSOLUTE PEAK DESIGN 🔥🔥🗣️🗣️ yeah i looove the barely-alive and barely-existing aesthetic of Harrow Reli. bro's so regal. so pretty. has decent ass too don't question it. i love how, for the floating bits and pieces in his hollow parts, the back of those pieces are just glowing with energy, making both front-facing and back-facing components stand out. love the ribcage, the heart, the energy vials and pipes, and don't forget the brain ball visible in his hollow head. oh and i'm glad i'm not the only one who uses the Mag Signa with Harrow Reliquary. (i will eventually watch the entire video but for now i only have time to check out Harrow's) edit because i wanted to check my secondary main: also yes Equinox Antonym easy S tier. that helmet is amazing. personally i use the Divisa body without the Prime details and the Antonym helmet as my secondary fashion frame.

*Kep on his way to yap about character/skin designs for 2 hours* It feels like I'm looking into a mirror because that's literally me after edit: thx for the pin kep, but still imma provide some *PERSONAL OPINIONS* as well... 2:41 ash shroud lacks a bit too much of visual language that immediately tells us that he is a ninja/assassin, the entire design (except the helm) feels way too bland and the propotion themselves felt unappealing. 8:47 Atlas Karst's upper body looks nice but the lower part of the body feels way too off (aka "does this felt a bit too... thin?), and his shoulder is way too big and arm kinda small (like you said), and the shape/metal of the arm felt way too out of place and threw the consistency of the design away [Rhino deathwatch can have a thinner calf is because the calves are bent which makes a massive amount of sense and it fits thematically with the reference of Rhino deathwatch (Rhinoceros Bettles)] 24:22 I think it just comes down to the design theme inconsistencies, if you look at his head, upper body and his lower body, the design idea always shifts and just felt really all over the place, the chest piece felt like it is just slapped onto his chest as well and just didnt really do much on emphasizing his strength or "hes well built"... 26:28 also, soprano with the echo helmet is lowkey banger combination frfr 43:55 Unpopular opinion but Valk Carnivex skin is banger, not S tier banger but it is just perfect for her, don't know why many people hated it; her animation set really makes the skin shine incredibly hard, the femineity of her animations with the claws/spikes and her theme/design is such a well-done contrast that I really like it. 46:44 this skin, by just looking at it, you can tell that KARU, the maker of this skin, takes a lot of reference from the mythologies, there's a clear reference of indian mythology all over the designs, and most apparent one has to be the hands around his waist, the theme just felt very natural for baruuk. 1:03:42 I think the problem comes down to: the "weight" (aka design) is entirely on the lower body, theme is very nice and the details as well, but the design just felt quite unbalanced. 1:05:42 fun fact: Nian comes from a Chinese mythology, when the new year's eye came, there will always a beast called "nian" (or 'year' if want me to translate it into english) that will devour people, and we Chinese puts red packets (hong bao) at the bottom of our pillow to keep the beast away from us, or play fireworks to scare him away as well. Im hesitant to do tennogen skins because I am a 3d modeler, and alot of people just make tennogen as a passion project, I dont want to critisize the little guy yknow? If its directly from DE, they can be held accountable if the skin is bad- but if its from tennogen theres a million different things that could affect the outcome, its just not fair to judge like that. Plus there ARE some bad eggs in the tennogen community (very cringe people) who i will undoubitly rank unfairly because of that

I think when looking at deluxe skins, you also need to compare them to the original/prime skins. So deluxe skins look fine on their own, but simply doesn’t compare with the prime skin or even the original skin
youre absolutely right- in MOST cases the deluxe skin is better than prime but frames like sevagoth really just outshine their deluxe. Theres some other cases but imo for the most part I believe that its safe to rank the deluxe skins on their own just by a design standpoint
