- Przemyslaw Jaczewski is a computer scientist, an employee of the POLIN Museum and an activist for the preservation of Jewish heritage in his hometown of Kaluszyn. His interest in the subject came by accident - the impulse was the material by Pawel Piotr Smolenski in "Gazeta Wyborcza" titled "Kałuszyn 1939. "Kaluszyn 1939: Poles 3000, Jews 6500". Reading the text was a breakthrough experience for Przemek - it not only prompted him to learn more about the history of Kaluszyn's Jews, but also released in him a sense of emptiness due to their absence. Przemek expanded his knowledge and established relationships with descendants of members of Kaluszyn's pre-war Jewish community. Particularly important for Przemek was his cooperation with Joseph Gellman, who was the organizer of the commemoration of the Kaluszyn Jewish cemetery. Joseph and Przemek have become close friends and, together with their families, visit each other.
