Sweet flying plane - such a smooth flyer! This one is tempting my budget. Also, I believe that maneuver is called a reverse half cuban.

Great flights with the FMS T-28 1400mm. That plane looks good on the ground but even better in the air. I agree you don't have a plane problem, just a storage problem. New plane, Oh Yea.

I have the airfield version with the "goofy" pilot. I really love it too. Be careful, at slow speeds it will tip stall. Don't ask me how I know!

I also had some issue with my T-28 on my maiden where the throttle would not be responsive with a delay at times which is not good. I nearly lost it in the tree tops if it wasn't for a head wind to hold it up on the air long enough till the throttle kicked in. I'm in the process of getting this fixed. Glad to know I'm not the only one with these problems.

We really never figured out the problem with the factory ESC. Opted for a permanent fix with the Avian ESC.

Wow this looks fantastic. I’m thinking of getting this one but could you tell me how big the wheels are? I fly on grass.
    Regards

Right off I am unsure of the tire size, but this plane can fly off a manicured grass surface.

I appreciate your honesty about the manicured grass, I fly off unmanicured grass so you've saved me some stress.

I'd be interested to see how much battery you can put in this. Perhaps swapping to li ion and a more economical motor. In fpv people can fly for 30 minutes to a hour so I feel it must be possible to get this to 15 minutes but I'm not a expert.

      I use a 4s/3200mah 50c smart pack. 4000mah still fits. On 3200 I get 7 minutes 😳

Please, how much flap deflection do you have for takeoff and landing, and do you have and how much elevator compensation do you have? Thank you.

Did you end up trying it on 6s? Was the Avian a straight swap where u didn't need to change the banana plugs? I might do the same as I have a spare 100A here. Great presentation of the plane. Clear precise informative and good video footage. Just subd mate 👍🏾

    • @dsrcplanes

We have not tried it on 6s yet. But wanting to.

You will need to do some trimming to get a 6-cell to fit. The pilot will need to be removed from the canopy . I am using a 4-cell 5000MaH battery and have all the power I need. I might try a 5-cell if I can find one that will fit.

@LigthningII I fly mine on 4000 7s now. The pilot remains in place. Need to shave a little foam on the canopy but it's all doable. I've also glued in an extra battery strap aft of the original one and moved the junction box into the tail. 30 min job. 7s on the 550kv beaver slot in fit motor with a 14x12 prop. It's now a warbird pilon racer with semi 3D ability!

Nice job good looking plane and flight have you contact FMS about the esc and do you think it just was bad luck you got a bad one we know it happens keep video coming

    • @dsrcplanes
      @dsrcplanes  Год назад +1

We did not give FMS as chance to correct it. We figured we was gonna upgrade it anyway to use 6s in this plane. We found it doesn't really need the 6s power. Personally, I think we was the lucky ones with a bad esc.

Did i see an XT60 connector in there? I only plan on using 4s in mine and really want to make it match all my batteries.

All FMS planes come with XT type connectors. E-Flite comes with IC or EC type.

@dsrcplanes the latest T28 1400mm with the 80amp esc is coming with an EC5 connector. At least according to FMS and a couple videos. But on 4s only I think I'm good with XT60.

i got this one after years of avoiding FMS because of poor quality. FMS still has issues with their manuals and part identification.

Mine was missing the spinner. It took almost two weeks to get one from FMS because they shipped it from China. I was salty about it. But the plane looks and flys great.
