I just watched on Kinema and as a Palestinian I couldn’t help but cry silently that my whole life I haven’t been able to speak out publicly or be heard about the trauma me and my family have faced throughout the years. Even when my parents sent me back to America after high school I was always told that my voice had no power and that no one would listen and it would just make my life and career harder. I sit and watch the atrocities sinking deeper into despair knowing that 75 years will become 100 and I will live my days only watching the pain and suffering and the silence be continued by the western leaders. I cry to see Jewish voices for peace be amplified and given platforms and heard while Palestinian voices are still only in the shadow or background or censored on every major platform. This movie gives me some sliver of hope for a better future. But it will mean nothing if we can’t as Palestinians be heard even more and truly understood. Our stories need to be told universally. Especially American Palestinians like myself who have witnessed apartheid firsthand and continue to live it.

The brainwashism is not only against palestinians but against everything is "Goi", I am not Polish but live in Poland since long and once I helped a Brazilian tourist with Polish Jewish roots who was passionated to look for his gransparents history and he was really excited to be in Poland , where he spent the whole month in this country, meeting many people and having really nice experience, before going to Israel for one year in a kind of youth organisation.and then something happened, his openness and empathy to others nations was gone, he just turned weared...and then I lost contact since then. Excellent film, the producers and the participants should be commended for their honesty and their courage. For years I watched as my Jewish friends (who I miss very much…) conflated anything but the most oblique criticism of Israel with virulent anti-semitism… I watched, in horror, as Trump was elected-with the full support of millions of American Jews-and Neo-Nazis?! 😮 I still can’t wrap my mind around it. I complained about the settlements and was accused of being an anti-Semite and forgetting the lessons of the Holocaust. (Odd, since I am a retired history teacher). I responded by saying that Jews and Israelis who support Trump have dishonored the memory of the victims of the Holocaust. They have also conflated their identities as Jews and as Americans with that of an independent nation-state. Israel is a great country. In so many ways, I can say this. But I think Jewish people are may be walking into a terrible trap. And I understand the complexities here. I know that there are many on the left who don’t care about Palestinians, they just hate Jews. Ok I watched this movie (torrented from the pirate bay to be specific lol), and I was blown away. I was shocked by the bravery of the film makers and the subjects of this documentary, especially Simone Zimmerman. It shows the transformation of these young jewish men and women who realized what they have been taught almost all their lives has been a lie. The transformation, the bravery, the hope. This documentary left me utterly speechless and I cried so much while watching it. I couldn't recommend it enough and I'm already sharing it as widely as I can on social media etc. I will be watching it tonight with my wife and three kids, and will be sharing it with my dad over the weekend. I've been in Israel and Palestine. I want the best for everyone but the reality is that Israel is a colonialist country in a post colonial world, and it is not sustainable in its present form. And I always wonder what people thought colonialism looked like. What has it ever looked like? What did it look like in India, in Indochina, in the Belgian Congo, in South Africa? When was colonialism ever pretty?

I just watched on Kinema and as a Palestinian I couldn’t help but cry silently that my whole life I haven’t been able to speak out publicly or be heard about the trauma me and my family have faced throughout the years. Even when my parents sent me back to America after high school I was always told that my voice had no power and that no one would listen and it would just make my life and career harder. I sit and watch the atrocities sinking deeper into despair knowing that 75 years will become 100 and I will live my days only watching the pain and suffering and the silence be continued by the western leaders. I cry to see Jewish voices for peace be amplified and given platforms and heard while Palestinian voices are still only in the shadow or background or censored on every major platform. This movie gives me some sliver of hope for a better future. But it will mean nothing if we can’t as Palestinians be heard even more and truly understood. Our stories need to be told universally. Especially American Palestinians like myself who have witnessed apartheid firsthand and continue to live it.

The brainwashism is not only against palestinians but against everything is "Goi", I am not Polish but live in Poland since long and once I helped a Brazilian tourist with Polish Jewish roots who was passionated to look for his gransparents history and he was really excited to be in Poland , where he spent the whole month in this country, meeting many people and having really nice experience, before going to Israel for one year in a kind of youth organisation.and then something happened, his openness and empathy to others nations was gone, he just turned weared...and then I lost contact since then. Not all jews are like that but there is a fraction of Israel who are really close in behaviour to the ones once hunted them.

Excellent film, the producers and the participants should be commended for their honesty and their courage. For years I watched as my Jewish friends (who I miss very much…) conflated anything but the most oblique criticism of Israel with virulent anti-semitism… I watched, in horror, as Trump was elected-with the full support of millions of American Jews-and Neo-Nazis?! 😮 I still can’t wrap my mind around it. I complained about the settlements and was accused of being an anti-Semite and forgetting the lessons of the Holocaust. (Odd, since I am a retired history teacher). I responded by saying that Jews and Israelis who support Trump have dishonored the memory of the victims of the Holocaust. They have also conflated their identities as Jews and as Americans with that of an independent nation-state. Israel is a great country. In so many ways, I can say this. But I think Jewish people are may be walking into a terrible trap. And I understand the complexities here. I know that there are many on the left who don’t care about Palestinians, they just hate Jews. This really is a terrible mess, and it is partly the result of ignoring the Palestinian question, and partly the result of this Faustian bargain with Trump. Jews shouldn’t make peace with Nazis, even if they support Israel.

Ok I watched this movie (torrented from the pirate bay to be specific lol), and I was blown away. I was shocked by the bravery of the film makers and the subjects of this documentary, especially Simone Zimmerman. It shows the transformation of these young jewish men and women who realized what they have been taught almost all their lives has been a lie. The transformation, the bravery, the hope. This documentary left me utterly speechless and I cried so much while watching it. I couldn't recommend it enough and I'm already sharing it as widely as I can on social media etc. I will be watching it tonight with my wife and three kids, and will be sharing it with my dad over the weekend. I've been in Israel and Palestine. I want the best for everyone but the reality is that Israel is a colonialist country in a post colonial world, and it is not sustainable in its present form. And I always wonder what people thought colonialism looked like. What has it ever looked like? What did it look like in India, in Indochina, in the Belgian Congo, in South Africa?
