Hi Kelly, I don't have particular shades I regret, but I tend to buy the tones over and over. But I obviously have a preference, so I do enjoy them.. so there's that... 🤣🤣 I learned to not buy a palette for that one shade that stands out. Someone said cover up that shade and ask yourself if you still want the palette.
lol, I don’t usually buy a light frosty blue either but the blues in that Carly Bybel palette drew me in and the blue in that Pat palette drew me in…. They often do and then I don’t wear them
All the doubles; all those shades that look the same by the time they hit your eyelids; all those multichromes that look the same; all those shades that have a patchy finish; all those shades that are a pressed glitter. That is a great way to repurpose some of your regrets ❤
Listen Kelly, I don’t need to be reminded of my foolishness when buying certain eyeshadows🤣🤣 this is such a fun theme. For me, and I keep making this mistake, is I purchase multichromes that have a dominant shift I don’t like because I got sucked in by one of the non dominant shifts. So when I put the shadow on, ally I see is the shift I detest and so I have to keep rolling my head around so I can catch the shift that catfished me
I love this Regrets Shades idea! These looks are super-fun; the coral is my favorite. As for my own Regrettable Shades, does it count if someone bought me a palette that I regret receiving? (Don't get me wrong, I'm always thrilled that someone loves me enough to buy me a gift, buuuuuuuut... y'know.) Also: Welcome back! I hope your vacay was everything you hoped it would be and more. That glow! ❤
I think a regrettable gift totally counts! Especially because then we end up using and trying it anyway because there’s a guilt and or attachment just because of it being a gift! (And yes Sura is such a pretty coral shade! ) Our trip was really nice-I’m having a hard time making myself wear “real” shoes again 🤣 I’m wearing a long sleeved shirt and sandals to work today but seeing my neon yellow toes and tan makes me happy 💛
Have gotten rid of most shades regretted, and my regrets mostly came from the way the shade performed, being dried up, etc. This is why I rarely buy eyeshadow on clearance these days-- I'm looking to fill holes in my collection, I need longevity! Once there was a rabid pursuit of a Sephora C. shade called Watermelon Falls, as I was going through a coral makeup phase and convinced myself this (discontinued) shade would change my life. It did not. Long since decluttered.
This BYOP made me want to do a single eyeshadow declutter for SURE. And it’s funny how we sort of covet these certain items to find that they were NOT that life changing 😉 I often wonder how I would feel if some of my mourned discontinued items I used to love years ago were suddenly back on the market…how many of them I would still actually like and use. 🤔
haha that intro dear !!! oh im so sorry about the microphone !!! i love the different shades ah love the colour story! i love both looks so so beautiful!!!
I thought I was going to save money by buying singles verses entire eyeshadow palettes...I was wrong. I bought so many shades that I've never worn and would never wear. Girl, I have an entire row of blues ill never touch 😂
Ok in my head I totally responded to you...but maybe I didn't hit send? 🤦🏽♀ I completely get that...In some ways, having singles helps us cut out waste of random shades in palettes...BUT, then we go and get excited about pretty things that in reality we just wont use! 😂
I think on someone deeper it could. It was JUST light enough as an inner corner as tan as I am after vacation, so I don’t think it would usually work for me. I did consider that but when I used it on my inner corner I realized it was too dark.

That is a GREAT trick. I think we’ve all been sucked in by one or two shades in a palette!
That is going to be my new trick!
@@catherinelynnfraser2001 it really helps!

Hey Mona!!! Yes there ARE a few blues that can really be enticing!
I like this palette a lot. It’s a great springing into summer color story.
I think it is too! ☺️

A patchy finish is THE worst! That’s hard to make work, even in the best of situations
LOVE the tan. Hope you enjoyed your vacation. Blue look was beautiful., the other nice also. 💐💐💐
Thank you so much! The trip was so nice! We had a lot of sun time for sure!!! 😉

I actually really liked both looks, and I have enough colors that you've inspired me to try them!!

Could the Klarity shade Partition be used as a highlighter? If so maybe you would get more use out of it by using it that way

I bought a whole blue palette from ColorPop and I never wear blue. 🤨
I regret buying the same palette over and over again...the same colors by different brands and, in one case, the exact same pallette twice! 🙄
So relatable! I have to know-which one did you buy twice!!?
