Backyard DECK WITH ROOF - Full Project Time Lapse

We built this backyard deck with roof, transforming a blank slate into a super useable outdoor living space. The deck comes right off the back of the house and includes a huge roof to maximize usage even in the rain. The deck is about 750 sq ft with a 40 sq ft roof over the main deck.

Love the ceiling on this one. Great job. I’d be interested to see how you work drainage into your design/plan as well as varmint exclusion. I did see that one where you did screen under the deck, but what about more invasive rodents?

For drainage here we just needed to make sure the grade was running away from the house…rodents are tough, they will get into almost anything if they really want to
