Admiral: I have won countless battles
Lath: OK
Admiral: And I commited many war crimes!
Lath: Welcome aboard Admiral!
Acronym0 for real 😂.
Yes
Like calls to like.
Time stamp ?
*PERFECT*
I like how the stranded Admiral is so badass that even a machine empire dedicated to eradicating all organic life makes an exception and lets him join their side.
Kevin3dp he killed everything
Maybe that Admiral was... indoctrinated
Mass Effect reference fyi
Well they want to harvest everything and add it to their stockpiles, occasionally an organic component can be utilized to make the process more efficient.
@@nocx4592 Indeed, this 'determined exterminator' doesn't care about what you are, organic or machine. You are material, and you will be harvested, it has no hard feelings because its literally its designed purpose. This type of AI is called a 'Paperclip maximiser', designed to do something, and then proceeds to kill its creators because it its more efficient towards its job.
The admiral was an outlier, an efficient subroutine that would streamline the Harvester Cores capacity to process and harvest more material. They allow him, because they demand it.
@@pokemonfanmario7694 Yes, thank you for elaborating.
"Sometimes a pretty thing should be shot at" -Lathrix, February 22, 2019.
"That is not a Quote. You shouldn't quote it anywhere!"
"Let's destroy it. 'cause why not?"
-Lathrix and his twists
Still existing 2020
I know right?
"Is this a Gaia World? It's a Gaia Moon... *It will be harvested.*"
Best line from the Video
Best quote
You forgot "That's adorable!" before the *It will be harvested* quote :V
@@yurialexandre2037 😂😂 I was gonna say that but your 2 months ahead of me lol
I love how the empire that stops the scourge and saves the galaxy is the one that is supposed to be consuming it
oh look! Calamari!
because they don't want competition...
@@comradeviper4054 I mean, they're organic and thus harvestable ;)
They would cause inefficiency as a long war would consume recorses
@@ianhogben3472 imagine eating disgusting organics rather than sending both scourge-organic pops to a reactor, thats what i call efficent usage of disgusting organics
You didn't take the scourge as pets! AGAIN!
lol that lone admiral is literally saren from mass effect, fighting with the reapers.
Omg yes
"Cryo Pod" is short for Cryogenic, as in Frozen Stasis Pods. Not Crypto, as in Cryptocurrency.
You destroyed their Beds basically.
They were dead anyway
Someone tell this to rimworld. I have never understood why they call them cryptosleep pods in rimworld but they do.
The Stellaris wiki is a really useful source of info, and it does seem that you are correct, the strategic coordination centre does, in fact, give a 150 fleet cap increase, a 15% sublight speed and an increase in starbase cap as well. It also adds more defence platforms (possibly) per star base, which would be quite useful in defence.
I can confirm that the additional defense platforms are for every star base you build (or have built).
Thank you!
*Hears worker voice* THE ROBOTS ARE COMMUNIST! *USSR ANTHEM PLAYS*
Here in Soviet Russia, you do not control robot, robot controls you.
@@jamesgors6650* No, WE ARE BOTS, BOTS ARE US*

>revs up helicopter
of course that's why they don't use food.
No food, want to kill everyone alive, Lenin voice adviser? Commy civics feels about right for this run.
After the scourge has been defeated, the galaxy lives in joy.
Until Rocky returns to routine and the Core harvests them all.
i have like 20k hours and still never ran into the scourge.
You misspelled "liberate their workers".
@@nostrum6410 don't research jump drive
don't research and use robots
make crisis trigger early 2400 best so that other empire don't research synths and jump drive (fallen empire jump drive don't count I think)
Then you'll get the scourge
Researching jump drive increases chances of unbidden, Synth increases chances of contingency
I would suggest using the mod for the AI, because no matter how early you make the end game crisis appear, all regular empires will be just as pathetic. And if it will spawn at the other side of the galaxy, it will chew through all of the AI without any effort and snowball to the point where it is impossible to stop untill you own more then half of the galaxy. Or at least I expect it to happen that way.
using glavius ai mod by mid game ai empires are still challenging without glavius ai empires are a joke
there is also a mod called Starnet AI. Try it! I think it is even harder than Glavius tbh :)
@@MikeMiau It definetly is. it increases the agressiveness of Ai be alot and also makes the ai have a good amount of research and economy power.
Starnet ai use chests for the AI...
@@MASTERMIND-mr6er How does it cheat?
So, I guess you could say first contact with other empires was a bit of a "Rocky" start... :D
I absolutely think you should use a mod to improve the AI for future playthroughs. It would be a lot more fun to watch if the ai actually posed some threat
they still dont really do anything
You might or might not see this Lathrix.
But an easier way to see the resources in every system is to hit the alt key instead of manually hovering over an individual system.
Great vids mate always fun to watch
Loved the play through. It’s the first time I’ve seen a crisis event. Thanks for all the editing!
You can have friends as a purifier, as long as they belong to the same species. If someone takes a few of your planets in a containment war and those planets breaak off from his Empire with your species being their dominant one, you can pick up normal relations to them
does anybody else find it weird that the fallen empire admiral is the only organic in the entire empire
Love your series lathrix, keep it going
Glad you're still doing these, and you're not afraid to experiment! Your electric firing bug zappers were a cool and satisfying idea to see; but seconding a call for mods, maybe more so when you feel like you're tapped on new Le Guin vanilla runs! Aspec's channel has some good suggestions for cosmetics and basic improvements.
I love the idea of the apathetic exterminators. "We'll destroy you all, maybe, later, if we feel like it"
Love this series
"Sometimes a pretty thing should be shot at" -Lathland
Brilliant and totally quoteable.
Yo Lathrix, been here since From The Depths Season 2 and been loving your stuff since then. It'd be amazing watching you play around with the Gigastructured mod and I can assure you that playing with it you'll have a blast making everything and using it to carve through the Galaxy for the Dark Gods
I'm playing purifiers that start on a tomb world with a raiding perk, so I steal all the pops for the unity and resources, then bombard the planet so I can live on it and most other empires can't. It was actually fun, you should try it.
Ill do it !
Love these styles of vids. Nice necron build too haha
Very thematic for you to fight the Scourge and have all your ships set up as bug zappers.
Thanks Buddy. Learned a lot about DE!
Great work. As always.
Yaay! been waiting for this one for a while
Love your work ❤️
I dont know why but I love the term Hemorrhaging .
I like that one guys idea of having all the empires you've made and pit them against each other, and you play your favorite one or something along those lines
Is your fiance cutting a tree or using the blender? Seriously, I can't tell! (And knowing you, it could be both)
That sounded like an angle grinder, I bet she's running a chop shop out of their apartment, the hoodlum!
I would guess she was cutting a tree WITH a blender!
(It was probably a hair dryer, though.)
I can visibly imagine two different scenarios:
His fiancée is angry and glares at him for telling her to be quiet
Or she’s laughing as she turns whatever machine she’s using to it’s loudest setting
cutting a tree with a blender
looking forwards to falling asleep on the couch watching this tonight. Had to click it now to like it though.
What a great way to start the week end.
1:02:30 I don't know if you're aware, but if you left-click on a wormhole icon on the galaxy map, it takes you to its paired wormhole. I realise I'm three months late, but I'm still enjoying this playthrough.
Edit: And two minutes later you do it. Never mind me!
Yay More Lath! >O
A full hour and a half I'm exited
That's it, you've inspired me to give Stellar a go. Cheers, Lathrix
By the end you were so ridiculously strong, you could've declared war on the entire galaxy, and dedicated but a single fleet to each empire and still win.
as far as im aware your entire navy could be stopped by... Idk a thin wall of rubber?
I like this, I would not argue if you did more.
@Lathland,
If a scientist has a specialization, he will research that specialization faster AND make it more likely that the research type will come up. You had a logistics bot researching and waited half the game for and Industrial Tech. Next time get an Industrial Bot for your engineering research.
Holy smokes didn't know that all this time thks
The machine worlds look great, but I have to say that the mod devs of gigastructural engineering have created beautiful worlds and structures. I’ve been messing around with the creative mode for the last few days, and I’ve been loving the aesthetics of the mod.
Just watching the start is making me want to watch it even more
For my Exterminators, i'm using introspective, the Engineering space station and the replicators from each conquered world quickly add up.
That +100% Shield and Armor Penetration really makes short work of the fallen empires! Also, unleashing the nanites from the L-Gates while playing as killer robots.. seems fitting somehow. :-)
I seriously thought when you were talking about taking the L-Gate systems that you were gonna say "It's like free real estate."
As an aside one of my favorite tactics with the L-Gate system is to use it as a sort of "last bastion" for my species by making Ring Worlds in all systems that don't have nanite resources, a sort of backup in case I get jumped by an End Game crisis inside my own territory.
"I just wanna shoot at it you know, sometimes at pretty things should be shot at"
-Lathrix 22/02/2019
This "worker" or whatever voice sounds like HK-47 from star wars Knights of the old Republic fused with the battle cruiser capitain from starcraft 2
I feel like the Extermined Determinator playthroughs result in ridiculously powerful empires but are also still really interesting, expecially with Lath's Lathness
"Hopefully 2 hours or less..." bro it's great to see and hear all the nuances, and these take days to do. Insane to condense 3 days or game time to under 2 hours
The Way you went to the awakened Empire reminded me of the Geißel from Warcraft 3^^
Thanks Lathrix! I'm not intelligent enough to play Stellaris but I can at least enjoy this wonderful game by watching you playing it!
Its easy ya press the buttons and command the troops and boom universe conquered
Once a game comes to consoles you really cant say its too complex. Just have a go at it. i suggest mods though one lets you adjust difficulty on the go, another teaches the AI how to play (one of the top rated mod for a reason).
Hey, Lathrix, have you considered playing with the gigastructures mod? I’ve played it a lot and it is super fun!
Agree, the gigastructures and ai mod tend to be requirement for my current games
Zenith of the fallen empires
It's great. I have three, soon-to-be five nicoll dyson beams. Woe to anyone that messes with my rogue servitor empire, or if they resist my gift of caring. Besides, organics are so violent, they'd be much better off in one of my organic paradises. The cake is mandatory, and not a lie.
"Sometimes a pretty thing should be shot at" -Lathrix 2019
Determined Exterminators defending the whole galaxy alone so they can do the job themselves.
If you bild the stratigic coordinations center normaly it will show you wich bonuses it will give you. in your case it seems like it's bugged, probably because it was a repaird one and not manuly build.Enertaining vidoe, allways a joy to watch :)
Basically, what if the Chariot Line from Horizon: Zero Dawn discovered space travel.
Funny thing is, I might yoink this build for my version of the Tekunin
I like how when most people get bored, they watch a movie or occupy themself in some way. However, when Lathland gets bored, he conquers a universe in two days.
Well, "Sometimes a pretty thing should be shot at."
DAAR-1, the name of the planet, sounds like Darwin, as in Charles Darwin.
This is a bit late, but I did the math for which is better against the scourge, the torpedoes or the cloud weapons, and the result is that as long as the (unshielded) enemy ship's armor is less than 5 times bigger than its hull, torpedoes are better (not accounting for range, evasion or flak shooting down the torpedoes). With the scourge ships' armor being about twice their hull the torpedoes are about twice as effective in terms of raw damage, and given that the range of torpedoes is better and the scourge has no point defences I'd say the torpedoes would've been bettter pick
amazing, never seen a leviathan hatching before
Oh god, it's the evolution of the lathrix battleship spam
Me: playing at home as a hive mind
Lathrix: hey! Watch this to not be bored 😁
Me: sure, but if I’m still bored it’s your head
Video: drivin exterminators
Me: YES FUN!
Cloud lightning battleships are some of my favorite ships. A great hard counter
You are being rescued, please do not resist

Determined Exterminators VS Devouring Swarm VS Fanatic Purifiers
@Tyler Klemin Yeah but if a player is controlling the swarm food production goes through the stratosphere due to purge colonies, so the swarm doesn't care about food, same goes with the purifiers with their energy and minerals
there is also the fact that they can team up with other robot empires
1:16:55 I think the fire control only increases accuracy, and since it's already at 100% it has no effect.
Edit: Yeah you should absolutely get the Glavius AI mod. Better AI also improves sectors so you can maybe turn over some of the micromanaging to your governors in the late game. I always go Tall so I've never done that but with how many planets you had I'm shocked you did it all manually.
If you hover over the mega-structure in the construction ship menu it will tell you what it produces at each stage
just picked this game up a couple days ago, i have a week off work and just learning it. Should i get all the dlc? Your playthru has been fun to watch definitely :) My first two playthrus i've lost pretty quick so definitely still learning lol
I think you should definitely use the improved AI mod to help with the challenge. Plus any other mods you think would make it more fun. I really enjoy your play throughs of this game.
I love his reaction to the orbital bombardment @38:13 just glorious cause I'd react the same way 😂
I'd say you do modded AI, rather then waiting a couple patches, These videos are always entertaining to watch. :D
I would love to see you restart some from the depth videos
These are perfect to watch while generating 15k star galaxies.
Live watching your games, has helped me so much. I don’t feel like I’m good at the game, because I only play on Normal/Ensign, no bonus to them. But what I find hardest is the difference to Sectors. Unless I manually put resources in, that I can’t ever get out again, they won’t self develop. But they will, even without a Governor. I just don’t see any point to giving them Energy, they don’t clear blockers.
Also, I tend to use Habitats as Pop farms. I specialize the planets through buildings and whatnot, with the general purpose fast building Habitat Bots, and once the jobs I want are filled I turn off planet pop growth and move on to another few planets to max out, never needing to go back. I just couldn’t use an empire that can’t shift pops around as needed.
Next playthrough you should install some mods. You definitely need the Glavius AI mod, more events mod and get all the crazy custom species that people made in your game. :D
I just startet the same civ.
The same civic picks, the same species traits, Only diferent names and galaxies. XD

Thief!
Wow. @@k_god7207
Not a whole lot of diversity in the traits on mechanical pops. Would love to see some reworks
@@Geninacra it's a joke ma man. lol
You can use the delete key, to demolish buildings. Just click the building, and hit delete, then enter to confirm, or left click confirm.
I love the smell of the fried Scourge at the morning
I got an add for a new ai thing, is google warning me? Ps. Love your vids Lathrix
Pps. With all the cloud lighting, Lathrix has created a real Blitzkrieg.
You beat the escourge so much that you will end invading their galaxys and becoming the scourge of the scourge
I only just learned that you can actually change the portrait with Robot species.
I tried this origin after a while not playing Stellaris, and it was most fun I`ve ever had in this game. Even endgame crisis did not stand a chance against supreme intelligence.
definetly go with the mod option!
"Is that a Gaia world?..It's a Gaia moon oh how adorable, it will be harvested.."
Tempest made me shiver. They made my last playthrough so friggin hard. To summarize, everyone was late to the L-Gate thing. They were kinda far from the borders of everyone (can happen with these bigger galaxy mods I was on a 5000 stars map). Anyways. The Scourge invaded the galaxy and everyone was already in a big scuffle with someone else me included. So of course this idiotic democratic crusader empire goes and beat me to the insights and opens the gate. And it's the tempest. So I am fighting a war on two fronts already. To the south the scourge is aggressively trying to eat me. To the north this awakened empire is giving me trouble. And now there are nano fleets pouring out of the gates to my east and west. After all this, very few empires were still somewhat standing once the scourge, tempest and big ole awakened empires were dealt with. It sent the galaxy back 200 years in terms of territories...Previously owned clusters of hundreds of stars were now barren and full of debris (thank you battle debris mod). It was glorious in it's special way.
5:32 How the hell did my dog become a robotic leader?!?!?!? 🤣
This is basically the plot for universal paperclips
I'd say let's explore mods to make the AI better.
Fanatic purifier can have allies. It's just not gonna happen without force spawning customs cause it has to register as same race. Meaning species name and portrait.
To demolish, you can push Delete and enter to speed up the process
Also as a machine empire, use Habitats to replace your mining stations, with a Martial Law habitat with the mining job thing, and the unity building, you can get upwards of 200 minerals per habitat... and about 100+ fleet capacity
