Interesting…I’m not really into selling my music yet..as I make money doing graphics..however I’m also not into people covering or remixing my songs either..lol..so I do copywrite my music ..yet I share it for all on my channel..cheers.,and best of luck for all…beware tho..the music business can be a shady doggy world..with many so called artist who can’t write there own stuff and are always looking to steal ..ect…posting your music already copywriter tho..really helps.. because RUclips is strict on these people…cheers..
I’m all about “you do you” these days. I agree that the music biz can be shady which is why I don’t really participate in it! Not in the traditional sense anyway. I also believe that if you write a good song, you can probably write more so worrying about folks stealing them isn’t really worth it.
It still keeps coming up with title duplication error for me. I’ve done everything you’ve said and the title now says “song title name (remixer name” but it still says I can’t upload it as it’s got the same song title as a previous release ( of course it does, it’s a remix 😂) not sure why it won’t let me as I’ve added the remixer in the featured artist drop down and selected Remixer
Pete, this is Ron. I follow your channel as I'm a fan of yours and you are very helpful for me in my musical journey. I have a question for you. Some of the folfks using the iRig Pro Duo I/O have issues on the connectivity of the din connection to the interface. Sometimes when I move a wire or two,, it sometimes pops as it seems to loose connections. I also had a problem with the first one I got from Amazon and it never really sent phantom power to the condenser mic. The switch for it was not built well and I struggled getting it to turn on or off and the unit was trying to send 48 volts but kept going on and off with a piping sound. Any comments you would like to share with us iRiggers? Thanks! Ron
Hey there. So I’ve mentioned this since to at these orig Pros and Pro Duos using that 5-pin DIN connector are prone to issues. IK are pretty good about replacing cables if yours goes dodgy early on, but I am really hoping they’ll move to a standard USB-C connection in the future. I must say that I use my Steinberg UR22C more these days. Not quite as portable but very reliable. studiolivetoday.com/gear
@@PeteJohnsMusic Thanks Pete. Your videos are awesome and very educational so thank you so much for sharing all your live streams and videos to people like me. I did purchased the Steinberg UR22C because I saw many videos on it using that unit in action. I like the fact that I can power up the unit with 5 volt USB type micro. Then I can use the USB C 3.2v with the Belkin PD and data like it is the same as a USB 3 camera dongle lighting connector. I used that with the iRig Pro Duo I/O unit to charge the iPhone. It worked once and failed to supply phantom power. So that's why I chose the Steinberg. Thanks so much. Ron
Yes, you can. You can’t do true royalty splits but you can add them as a remixer or featured artist even if they use a different distributor or don’t release at all.

That URI technique is super helpful. Really appreciate your tutorial.
Yeah, it took me a while to work it out so glad I could share it.

Yeah. It’s weird that you need to add something else to the name like I did here. And it can’t just be “remix”.
thank you for the great tutorial!
You’re very welcome my friend. I hope you get value from the other videos here on the channel and consider subscribing. 👍
Extremely helpful and added to my personal tutorials🙂❤️
👍😎
6:31 : Q: Can we copy the Spotify URI in the mobile app (rather than in desktop with Command/Control+Click) ?
I believe so? As long as it’s the URI and not just the URL.

Great video, Pete! Can you collaborate with artists who don’t use Distrokid? Thanks!
Yes, you can. You can’t do true royalty splits but you can add them as a remixer or featured artist even if they use a different distributor or don’t release at all.
how to drop slowed and revered songs without making it a remix? It’s my og song. Just add in title?
So, not 100% sure sorry? Probably can label as a remix anyway?
