Met Brian with my family the other day.. very knowledgeable and friendly guy. My kids running around looking for marsh mellows at a fishing shop while Brian was showing me how to catch shrimps. Great customer services!
I'm just learning but having the extra buoy with poly seems like a terrible idea, as it will get caught in the prop of a boat. The pots are like a mine field outside of Sequim so it is impossible to miss them all.
Epic: those look like 5x11 buoys that have buoyancy of 6 1/2 pounds. That doesn't account for current which can suck a buoy down faster than a horny girlfriend.

Thanks for the tips. It was nice to see at the end that you’re located just down the street in Seattle.
In regards to Poly & Lead, Cowboys call it Rope and Fishermen call it Line. 🦀

How buoyant are the floats? how much weight can it have before sinking?
epic49ersfan the weight doesn't matter, the length of rope is however. If you don't have enough rope the buoy swill sink

Is it possible to cut lead line and burn the end?
Yes, I did it yesterday.
Extra buoy on the side is not a good idea. It can easily get caught by Boat props and lower unit.
