I’m thankful to live in America as opposed to a worn-torn country, but the way things are going I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re approaching WW3. • @MothersHeartGypsyDoVe
      @MothersHeartGypsyDoVe 7 месяцев назад +18

      In full agreement, Especially since there are those actively working behind the scenes to create issues for each generation. Incrementally enough to pit us all against each other in order to dismantle the family.
      It's about power, control, and money.

    • @MothersHeartGypsyDoVe
      @MothersHeartGypsyDoVe 7 месяцев назад +7

      @trashcan6751 And some have lived more like older ages. Trying to share wisdom. Few have hauled their own water to heat it for baths and dishes, make their own clothes. Each generation has had its struggles and all of us struggle to sone degree.
      It's not about who has it worse.
      There are those in background varying to divide us on every issue and level possible to their advantage. Done stagetically each generation to get them against each other and destroy family.
      Many live in luxury without realizing and take for granted to much time to participate in nonsense. The further we go from growing our own food and learning how to do these things the more dependant we are and we forget more and more each generation.

    • @alive527
      @alive527 7 месяцев назад +8

      as a gen z person, i think thats the single handedly biggest issue we are going through, is alot of our parents compare their struggles over ours. Ive seen many many parents now whos children srent very happy because their parents are also miserable, so it just chain reacts down the line, making pur ability to handle all the extra bs around us harder.
      No hate to anyone btw, my message is basically that we shouldn't be comparing our pains, because that in itself is just causing even greater pain for the younger generations, and i dont want that to spiral even further than its already went

      While this is true. It doesn't explain why this is happening on a mass scale. A lot of millennials looked younger than a lot of Gen Z. I'm 30 and still look 18. I get told that all the time when I get IDed. I started doing hard drugs at 13 and only quit about 6 months ago. It was mainly opiates and cocaine, but still that should've noticeably aged me and didn't. Make me think there's more at play here. No idea what exactly, but it is strange.

    • @commetsftw

      @@WeekndWarriorrr It can possibly be either unknown affects of microplastics we're just seeing or the effects of less and less nutrients in the soils. The mineral content in vegetation has significantly dropped (about 35%) since 1995. Add that with an already inflammatory diet that most young people already consume (fast food, microwaved bunk like instant noodles) and you get cells breaking down faster than they can regenerate.

Kids are so overstimulated by screens and media I’m not at all surprised that they have crazy chemical imbalances! I see kids being pushed around in strollers with phones and tablets in their hands. Remember when all the pediatric doctors were telling us to limit screen time for our kids? Yeah.
      We were enrolling our kids in school in VA and they had to have physicals. Doctor did the whole "limit screen time" speech and I laughed and told her the school issues each student a Chromebook.
      Also funny (in a "damn that's sad" way): my daughter had to wait for her Chromebook cuz we moved mid semester. She's in honors algebra and the teacher says not to worry about doing the work until she gets her Chromebook. Daughter is bored so she does the assignment longhand. Writes it all out.
      Teacher is shocked she knows how to do that as NONE OF HER STUDENTS could. They simply imput the numbers into the equation and hit the button.
      Public schools are in trouble, folks.

    I'd actually argue it's the heavy drug and alcohol abuse, too much empty sex since a very young age and various cosmetic procedures among many other things rather than fabricated stress. As a Millennial who grew up in a war torn country through the late 90s and early 00s I fail to see how wars and genocide that are going on actually affect most American and/or Western teens that seem to be complaining about this.
    If anything the incredibly comfortable lives without actual problems most of them have lead to increasingly stupid and self-destructive behavior patterns and getting too invested and overly stressed by things that have nothing to do with them.
    Not climate change, as some might argue while sipping a 17$ starbucks cup that they'll throw or leave somewhere while complaining how tired they are and how bad their circles under their eyes are after not sleeping for no other reason than being up all night on the internet or partying.

      That's the neat part ~ you don't.
      Your generation, the generation of my parents, weren't taught the 'whys' of life by their parents, why things are moral or immoral, why things matter. When my Mother tried to ask questions, like why seeing a psychic is bad (Catholic), she was treated as a nuisance, for example.
      The effect was your generation cherry picked what you liked from what you were given, as you were not taught the value of any of it. Yet you did not know the value of what each of you discarded, and my generation being left with what was cherry picked for us rejected the partial truths we were offered, but in many cases not even given. (I.e., parents foregoing their duties in educating their children, 'they'll decide for themselves when they are older', etc.)
      Of course, generalizations. My Mother pursued her Faith and a relationship with our Lord, always going to Holy Mass every week, and she gave that to me sparing nothing. And I am grateful every day for it. Deo grátias.
      I am 27 and despite my Father having chosen not to be apart of my life, to my benefit, I am slowly learning what it really means to be a man, and thus my nature as a sacrificial provider.
      Each of us can help make this world a little better to live in, and I for one want to help reclaim societal identity by reclaiming my own, and pursuing holiness. Too often I am selfish with my Lord, Who has done so much for me and moved me to tears so many times, so great have I felt His love, forgiveness, compassion. He really has been my Father throughout my life, even when I had strayed so far from Him.

      everything now just feels company based and promotional, literally everything feels like its made to make the most money, algorithms are scary, sometimes they are so good at predicting what you want they even reccomend things you were thinking about without having said a thing, there are tons and tons of personal data stolen from you
      Its not even sold to other companies, this data just makes you stay on the shorts longer and longer by reccomending you the perfect ones so that it becomes the most addicting possible, fucking up your dopamine receptors.
      And together with all of this there are a shitton of wars going on the economy is crumbling the technology is advancing so fast no one can keep up and no one even seems to realize it and realize all of them will lose their jobs, its like the industrial revolution all over, and the ones that do realize it have no one to talk about it with anyone causing extreme loneliness.
      The entirety of society is fucked up, and its probably too far gone to be saved everyone is just brainwashed by this and personally sometimes i just feel like im going insane, we are set to the standard of being a "good citzen" since we are put into school and live a boring life, everything feels so meaningless and it feels like all hope is lost.

    The lost generation, the greatest generation, and the silent generation had it worst. Sickness, disease, the First World War, the roaring 20s, the Great Depression, World War Two, the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Korean War, the start of the Cold War, the Vietnam war, and the end of the Cold War. My grandma (54) told me that in her school she would have things called fallout shelters just in case the Soviet Union (or what is now Russia) would drop a nuclear bomb or weapon on the United States. I live in Jackson, Mississippi, and like 180 miles away from my house is an air base called Barksdale Air Force Base, in Shreveport, Louisiana. During the Cold War the United States needed a strategic bomber that could run missions for extended periods of time, so, they made the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress. Which is stationed at Barksdale. Plus, depending on where you were in the Second World War, you had to worry about whether an axis country (Imperial Japan, Nazi Germany, and Fascist Italy) would attack the allied powers (United States, Great Britain, Soviet Union, France, and China) at any given moment. Just like Japan did when they bombed Pearl Harbor. I know every generation has its pros and cons but the 3 generations listed above had it worst in my opinion.

    The thing people forget when talking about generations is while things DO have a different impact on you when you're different ages, this doesn't ONLY affect the young more (the old are affected more, too), but also, that people OF ALL AGES who are still alive are going to the same things.
    I think it more depends on the person and how they take things and what they make of things. That's true no matter the generation.

    It depends on the individual. Some individuals have more youthful features and facial structure, while those of others may be more mature-looking. This has always been the case, so I’m not sure as to why people are acting as if this is a new concept. Perhaps it is because people are doing their makeup or growing facial hair to appear as a more mature-looking individual, but that was always been the case as well. The only reasonable claim is that we are more exposed to mature-looking individuals on social media, as that is what the algorithms push, thus, our brains associate that look with being normal as opposed to the faces of those around us, even though the natural mature look is more likely to be the minority.
    To that one millennial commenter; the Iraq war was formally declared to end in 2011 and the US withdrew from Afghanistan in 2021. Additionally, a portion of Gen Z was alive during 9/11, hurricane Katrina, and hurricane Sandy. Even if an individual was young, they still experienced the implications of these events.

      Problems aren't getting bigger. We live in the most peaceful and prosperous time in history. The rate of home ownership is higher than it was 70 years ago.
      There aren't more problems, they're just amplified. You didn't hear about every robbery, every rape or every murder even 30 years ago. Now they're blasted on social media. There aren't more train de-railments than there were two years ago, but the one big one got clicks. So now every train de-railment gets blasted on social media. It's the same for everything else. If you don't constantly look for it, you don't notice it. That means it isn't happening more often. If crime was as high as the media wants you to think it was everywhere, you'd have experienced it by now. Most likely, you haven't, because violent crime rates are *still* down from 30 years ago even with the increase during the WuFlu

      It’s as if our issues, even the ones a lot of people don’t agree with like gender, identity, race; a slew of issues coming from those things alone, and we’re just called “weird,” I have empathy to those who feel the NEED to even go through things like that
      It’s as if our generation has been taught suffering in so many different areas is normal, it’s normalized, and that we’re all just a bunch of messed up weirdos with no hope for the future.
      But no.. no, the damn majority of the population; our parents, our teachers will bat an eye to us and label us as problems, as if we didn’t live in a cold world already.
      All in all, it’s a breath of fresh seeing someone who decided to take a look at the new generations and understand that we have a whole new and scary world of struggle ahead. I can appreciate the fact that it is at least noticed, even if it is likely to only get worse.
