This was one of my grandmother's favourite TV shows. I remember watching it with her after church on Sundays when I was a kid. Simple memories are sometimes the most beautiful
Magyarországon ez a sorozat 30 éve folyamatosan valamelyik TV csatornan hatalmas sikerrel megy. Külön rajongói társaság is alakult. A még élő sorozatban szereplő színészeket meg is hívták egy zártkörű találkozóra. Óriási siker volt. Magam is sokszor láttam. Szerintem görbe tükrött tartott az angol társadalommal szemben. Mert még a munkás osztályban is mekkora volt a hierarchia... A másik lenézése.. semmibe vétele. Minden esetre jó kis sorozat. Több esetben kell megnézni. Szerintem kortörténeti lenyomta az angol 20 évek társadalmának..sznobizmus, önteltség..
My late aunt Doris and her husband Sid loved chancing during the c1930's and I loved both of as my favorited relatives, who lived on the Island of Anglesey north west Wales..
I have to admit'i've never heard of this show before this video popped up in my recommendations randomly, I can only assume because I liked a video of the CI5: The Professionals theme tune last week.
funny enough Paul Shane, Jeffery Holland and Su pollard said it was the best show they did but generally not a favourite with the public i think because its 50 mins an episode. like later Only Fools and Horses series 6 and 7 were 50 mins long i think they don't repeat them enough because of the length.
@@alexlazebat839 Both David Croft And Jimmy Perry said that You Rang M’ Lord was their favourite of all the comedies they’d written and produced. It gave them an opportunity to get more laughs in within the 50 minutes. And the cast was brilliantly assembled from Hi De Hi. Dad’s Army And It Ain’t Half Hot Mum. I loved the character of Lady Lavender. Always chucking food at not only the staff and other visitors to the Meldrum household, but also at politicians as she was a staunch supporter of the suffragette movement. She said she was banned from the Ritz because she once threw a prawn soufflé at Bonar Law 🤣 She was bats in the belfry.
@@ScottyBugler2005 dont get me wrong i loved the series my favourite bit is when Hugh Lloyd said his master killed someone with a pineapple and Ivy said rings or chunks but i was saying out of the croft/perry/Lloyd sitcoms this is really never repeated because of the time length and possibly the number of episodes.
@@alexlazebat839 there weren’t that many episodes per series though. I’m pretty sure there’s only four episodes per season. And there were only four seasons. Yes the Pineapple rings or chunks line always gets a laugh from me too. Hugh Lloyd was brilliant as Sir Ralph And Lady Agatha’s drunken butler Selfridge.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. BBC are idiots keeping this from streaming for free. You want to sell Britbox? Acorn? Whet people’s appetite. It’s cheap marketing.

This seriously feels like a show in a tv show. You know exactly what you’re going to get from the titles. Turn off your brain before it starts.
From the pilot episode because Barbara new does not have a face pic in the credits only time in the series she didn't.
Witam ! uwielbiam ten serial... gdzie mogę go obejrzeć w języku polskim... ?
I don’t think there’s been a polish translation, sorry.
Sorry że po takim czasie. CDA premium wszystkie odcinki są dostępne.
imagine a question on shooting stars with vic and bob
"true or false - Cissey Meldrum was the first ever lesbian?"
on tv? quite possibly yes
❤
Katie Rabett, one of Prince andrews exes
Indeed she was. And I wonder how old she was when she started dating him?

Can anyone tell who played the music for this tune thanks
It was the late comedian Bob Monkhouse who sings the theme tune for this show
I thought it was Sid Vicious
Michael Knowles looks like Hugh Laurie
A bit, but distinctive enough to be different.

It’s being repeated on freeview in the UK, on channel 8. We’re already through the first series.
@@andrewbyrne2173 And at this point I think it's started again for at least the 3rd time!
