- "Night of Damnation" is a Gothic themed Darkride in Planet Coaster. I´ve showed the progress of every little detail over months. And now it´s finally done.
Story:
The new Owner of an old Gothic Mansion asked you and your Team of Vampire Hunters to stay one Night inside the ancient building. He tells of strange events during nighttime and his wife has gone missing for days. The police don´t believe him and he is suspected of having something to do with it. He needs your help.
The day is over and you and your team decided to take a tour through the Mansion to search for the missing woman. But be careful. Every ghosttale starts harmless...
With over 200000 scenery objects and 1000 triggers it´s my biggest and detailed Darkride. I have also tried to rebuild scenes from real ghosttrains and from movies like the "Mirror Illusion" and the deadly pendulum from the "Scooby Doo Movie". I also took inspiration for the big Mansion itself from various films like "Crimson Peak".
I´am very proud to present you the whole Ride after such a long time. But it was definetely worth it. Have fun.

Hello. Thank you for your positive feedback. The next "Big" Project will be a complete Theme Park (Oh God. This will take ages haha). I have no Idea which theming I could choose. Do you guys have any ideas?
maybe a Victorian London - You could have Fabric Halls, Mansions, maybe a Festival on the Frozen Themse River, a Sewer Ride, Jack the Ripper, S. Holmes, loads of possibilities I'd say ;)
OK Factories are another Centurie ... but you get the point I guess
I also thought of themes from the past. Maybe a Park with zones of different cities in their most golden age. Sounds interesting.
Damn... this is makes me speechless... I want to say amazing but that would be an understatement... you sir are a Planet Coaster God

Very nice. The only complaint I have is using the upsidedown cross in the title and such. It's actually NOT an unholy symbol like many believe. It actually represents St. Peter who was crucified upsidedown because he didn't feel worthy to be done the same way as Christ. Other than that, not bad at all.
Holy crap that was amazing! I cant imagine the amount of work that went into this! I've just started dabbling in planet Coaster myself, and I can barely build anything. lol
Haha. It takes time to get all the tricks and stuff inside the game. The best tool in my opinion is No collision. Sure, it is difficult at the beginning because you can turn all pieces 360 degrees and place them everywhere. But if you get it, you can do everything you want. Without No collision I would never build something like this. Thank you for liking it.
I can't believe how much work you put into this! This has to be the best horror themed darkride in Planet Coaster I have ever seen. This also deserves way more views!
Really outstanding job on this darkride. I really love the theme of this ride, the gothic horror style, with beautifully scary ghosts. Not so much gore and more focusing on aesthetics. The effects were amazing and creative as well. The mortuary scene really gave me chills.
I'm curious to see what your next big project will be. You really set the bar high this time.

Thank you. I think the next big project will be a complete Park. I always wanted to build something like that but I was busy with all the Darkrides haha.

What an amazing darkride. It is so big, elaborate and very dark and gothic. I love the mirror effect. It certainly would give any rider the impression that they have become vampires themselves seeing that vampires bare no reflection in a mirror.

Hi ! I've seen your creation in Channel5 Gaming Spotlight video, and it's totally amazing. The best dark ride I've ever seen in this game. There is so much details and triggers. I love the ambiance of the ride, gothic, it make me think of Guillermo Del Toro's Crimson Peak. Specially for the lighting work, at 1:48 It's totally the same style with this long corridor and the blue/white light at the end.

Thank you. It is Crimson Peak. I used pictures of the movie to rebuild some of the amazing scenes. The big Mansion is actually the best thing in the movie. It´s perfect for an ghosttrain like this.
It immediately struck me in your video, I did not particularly love the story of the film that I found a little too predictable, but the style and atmosphere are fantastic. There is indeed a lot of inspiration to withdraw. Anyway it's a huge job you did here!
The part where you use the fact there's atleast no custommer for show you're kind of a vampire is so clever dude

This is by far THE BEST thing I've seen in PC. Your set pieces are just incredibble. Your triggers are perfectly timed, I even scared myself sometimes. :) Is there any effect you didn't use? :p I don't want to know how long it took to build this darkride, but I hope to see more of you in the future. The construction is extremely impressive but the horror elements blow their load way too fast. I might have been spoiled by coming to this right after seeing Ghost Ship, which not only had extremely good construction but also excellent pacing.
Also every time the skeletons do the wiggly arms it's really funny.

This is really...honestly fantastic, but a lot of the scares just sort of seem storyless and thrown in there. Is there by chance a reason for random jumpscares?
Hi. The blue Ghost is chasing the visitors and scaring them. The same goes for the Grim Reaper later. The Vampires are getting impaled when they sleep in their coffins.

Amazing! However, when I play it, there is no reflection of my car in the mirror. Is there something I’m missing?
Hi. You have to activate the second track at the same time you activate the main track. I synchronised it in the main ride menu.

I can't speak with regards to planet coatser, because I don't know what tools were available, but with regards to rides I have to ask what age group this was aimed at. If it was a younger audience then this was great. If it is for all ages or an older audience, then I have to question. The timing on many of the scares were off time such as the skeletons in the kitchen and the audio kept cutting short or seemed awkwardly timed. The skeleton that jumps at you at the end in the hallway seemed too far away to actually be a threat, and many of the "scary" parts like the vampires being staked just left me scratching my head wondering why that was even there. The ride doesn't tell a story other than being a very generic "spooky" castle. There is no focus on what the evil that lurks in the place is, is it ghosts, is it vampires, is it demons? The rider can't tell. It seems like there was more focus on trying to have scary set pieces without any real story as to why the rider should be afraid. In the haunted mansion, the ride is about ghosts and being stuck haunting a mansion as a ghost forever if you die there. The ride at the beginning tells the story that essentially the ride is trying to kill the rider and trap them at the mansion forever. It's a simple story, but it tells it. This one fails to explain anything, even with visual cues. If it could establish a narrative with its set pieces and correct the scare spacing/timing, then it would be an amazing ride as aesthetically it has a very awesome look already. @@FSFRangerDarkrides I have, and "Gothic Themed" could literally mean anything. It could be Edgar Allen Poe, could be Bram Stoker, could Be Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. The scenes have WAY too much going on and it basically just becomes a visual barrage. There are times that the ride should slow down to build anticipation or allow the scene to develop more and have things happen to build creep factor, and this fails to do that. So yes, I read the description, but ""Night of Damnation" is a Gothic themed Darkride in Planet Coaster. I´ve showed the progress of every little detail over months. And now it´s finally done." says nothing to address my statements.
