If the obstacles are always set up the same way its possible to create a mental image of the surroundings and create muscle memory. You wouldn't even have to look to know what's behind you then and you can focus on your opponents more. Similar to how you can more or less navigate your house even if you were blindfolded.
I never seen this sport in my life, second guy who hit his knee and recovered to clutch was an amazing moment. That chase is the chase that hooked me on this sport. I will be looking for more videos of this sport now.
@@Eeter26 That is wrong logic. Just look at people playing video games and how they get so tilted even if the game is meaningless and no one cares except those players.
And the olyphic feild is bigger and has higher and more complex obstacle that can either be or be not on your favor. Edit: If they extend the fields and make the obstacle more complex with random layout ,I think it will be really comcpetitive sport ,they go inside the feild not knowing the layout and counting on there skill and luck.

Damn I'm loooooved tag when I was young and although track doesn't appeal to me I was always really good at reading juking and spacing but always plagued by being tall which looks like a disadvantage in this type of sport. Non the less it would be super fun to give it a go. It seems like this sport is really all fun and love at the end which I can't say for many others.
The sport's designers have worked quite hard to make it roughly even for taller and shorter players. They call it "body-type neutral". There are some very tall players on some of the American teams. The Germans aren't short either.
Richard of Ugen moves at a speed and grace that just doesn't seem possible for someone of his build - Appears tall and rangy yet manages to sprint across the quad and duck under obstacles like it was nothing. Really hope the shoulder gets better and we'll get to see him back on the chase soon
I never heard of tag being played professionally until it came up in a crossword puzzle I was doing a few days ago. This video is the first I’ve seen professional tag in action. I enjoyed it, and will watch more!
I love how quick this is and how much fun they seem to be having with it. They seem to be much friendlier and good sports than many other professionals.
Reminds me of a game called back out we played on our huge elementary school jingle gym. It was like tag, but the person who was "it" had to keep eyes closed. The people hiding/evading him on the jingle gym couldn't touch the ground, so we developed some cool escape moves like jumping off the spiral slide half way down and grabbing on to the edge of one platform
I didn't even know this was a thing. Boy, if I could have those reflexes and that speed when my brothers and I all have to use the bathroom at the same time....

It’s not a sport it’s a child’s game
lol "sport"
Every sport should have the exemplary sportsmanship these guys have
Yeah, can we please talk about how there’s almost no hard feelings between these guys? 😯
I'm gonna go ahead and assume that the stakes are pretty low for professional tag, that helps
Probably easy when its a sport nobody cares about
Because theres no touch besides tagging the opponent 😂

All of them are professional parkour athletes. Injuries do happen sometimes
Nearly had a heart attack at the last chase that started with the shoe laces
