I lived in Overland Park as a child on Switzer, at that time it was a rural area but now it's become a industrial area. Even the house I lived in is now a business. I was in third and fourth grade and the school was Apache grade school. My Mother worked at the drive-in movie theater for one summer which was great because we got in for free. There was a very tall pine tree in the front yard that we kids would climb up in and you could see the drive-in from the tree top. Once my Dad was raking leaves, we kids were in the tree when our dog started barking at something under the tree. Dad came to look and saw a snake and told us kids to stay in the tree. He picked the snake up with his rake and took it out to the street. It was white but we didn't know what kind it was. I found out many years later it was a pine snake. We had lots of snakes mostly garter snakes. Opened the front door once and there was a snake, found one in the dining room once too. Oh what memories of that time. It was also a great place to live and shop but it's been many years ago since that time in my life. Thanks for bringing up the memories of my childhood back in the 1950s. God bless.
So much change! Thank you for sharing. I can't imagine that many run ins with snakes - my dog just has the neighborhood cats to worry about (and it's a full time job lol). It sounds like you had some great memories in the area!
It’s noted in the beginning of the video - “most popular” is arbitrary, so I picked neighborhoods in Overland Park that are well known and in various parts of the city.

What does most popular mean, it has the most population meaning it has the most supply?

I'm headed to OP tomorrow. So far I'm not impressed with Kansas City.
