In this UK Documentary I travel to the UK's poorest area, the county of Cornwall. To investigate reports in the British media of UK towns where the locals cant afford to live, this has lead to a number of these UK Towns becoming Ghost Towns in the winter months as the locals are forced out. Cornwall is the UK's most deprived area, with many of the the towns within the county being amongst the poorest towns in the UK, with some of the lowest salaries and highest unemployment rates in the country yet Cornwall has amongst the most expensive living and housing costs to be found in the United Kingdom. Has this combination resulted in the huge rise in poverty and homelessness across the county that we see today? To understand the issues at play in this documentary I investigate Mawgan Porth, on the North Coast of Cornwall near Newquay. This area was once a sleepy fishing village but like many of the towns in Cornwall has been turned upside but new residents arriving in the area. The likes of David Beckham, Chris Martin, Gordon Ramsey and Cate Blanchet allegedly own property in the area leading to the town now being dubbed the UK's Hollywood this change has forced most of the locals out... With many being forced to live fulltime in Caravans and Vans or VanLife on the outskirts of the towns they work in. I spent a night living the UK Vanlife to better understand the difficulties faced.
A quick google search will reveal a huge number of reports on the area in the British media such as:
The pretty UK seaside village ‘ruined’ by rich outsiders ‘trying to knock down every home’:
    www.express.co...
Celebs are ruining our quaint seaside town & turning us into Hollywood-on-sea:
    www.thesun.co....
The UK town where locals can't afford to live:

8 ex council houses in our small village in Derbyshire are air bnbs. We got kicked off the waiting list. In Sheffield airbnbs are charging 1500 pound s a week for Sheffield council to re-home desperate families.

To demolish is to destroy the history of a place. In my opinion people with lots of money have little taste. The modern glass and concrete buildings resemble city offices and always look cheap. Far better to buy a historic building and preserve it. My heart goes out to the local people who can no longer afford a home in their homeland.

The locals - like villagers and council home owners throughout Britain - sold to the highest bidder. If your property is valued at, say, £70k, yet an outsider offers you £500k, we all know who you are selling to. Just saying.

My favourite place in Cornwall it's
Hollywell Bay! The beach beauty It's just simply unbelievable with many caves on both sides, the small one at the right side very end, has a healing well tumbling down from the top of the cave, (hence the name), such a spiritual place to totally abandon yourself forever in sheer relaxation + bliss..! I lived & worked in Newquay, I am aware of the poverty there, the total lack of winter jobs + housing situation impossible to rent any decent place at all! Newquay now it's more run down than ever when the free toilets by the train station finally got barred a few years ago due to the severe vandalism, and the council simply doesn't care..! Such a shame this is happening specially in such an idyllic place..!!

The UK needs a Jersey style protection on any properties under a certain price to be only available to actual locals. There also needs to be protection of the environment stopping hideous redevelopments which completely alter the historic view of villages & towns.

Never go to Mawgan because nothing there if you drive through in the night this time of year don’t see a single house light on complete ghost town. #sharethewealth cheaper housing what’s needed. I have to lodge with someone in there spare room rents are sky high, even rooms to rent are getting sky high can be real struggle for hardworking locals, but we have our perks 🏄🏼‍♂️🤙🏻

Another great video. i live in a tent in snowdonia National park in North Wales.🌄
I was bullied out of my social housing in South London by an abusive upstairs neighbor that stomped every single day to stop me sleeping, it was an evil shaniqua, all the people who work for that Housing Association in South London are from the same Afro Carribean community group as the abusive neighbor and they didn't like how i always referred to the abusive neighbior as "it", so they sided WITH the abuser , lied about me, they pretended it was "normal houshold noise and footsteps" when it was stomping at 3am, they pretended that the threats and intimidation outside my balcony by the neighbior and it's thug gangster boyfreind never happened, they pretended that the neighbor had not broke my door buzzer by jabbing it for 5 minutes like a psycho when it was stuck out in the rain (somehow it locked itself out and suddenly the sky opened and it rained like i had never seen it,⛈biblical rain, it rained on that shaniqua for 5 minutes while it pounded my door buzzer as i watched from my window, and the moment another resident buzzed it in, the rain stopped, in an instant) ...... So i picked a town with a supermarket on google maps (i don't like always eating from a co-op or a spar which is all they have in small places in Wales) , i moved all my stuff to a storage container in town and i bought camping gear, tent, sleeping bag, gas stove, morning coffee is the FIRST thing i had sorted out (word to the wise old chap, Taylors coffee bags) ..... i am able to do this because i get disability benefits paid into my bank every month
I suffer many disabilities, crippling arthritis, COPD, PTSD since childhood, hypervigilance from violent home invasions.... , still waiting for a full autism/aspergers diagnosis (3 years on the waiting list now...) , i hear 24/7 screaming tinnitus that is a constant cacophany of whistling kettles, crickets, white noise, occaisionally a ting, ting, ting, ting, ting like a little bell, i hear constant sinewaves at varing pitches and the sounds on left and right are independant of eachother so it is a vibrant stereo cacophany..... i also suffer severe heaaring loss and in the left ear hyperacusis so EVERYTHING sounds incredibly loud and distorted in the left ear, everything is about double the volume of before the hyperacusis kicked in so sounds that are normally harsh like dog barks, child sreams, sirens are now extremely painful. ....... HOW do i keep going??? WEED! in the hardest times, when even close to death from the toll of my life trauma on my heatth and i have been , Cannabis gives you HOPE and PERSPECTIVE so you can not be overwhelmed by the trauma, circumstance ............. what else? oh yeah, my middle toe on the left foot dislocates several times a day and i cannot stand or it or walk until the toe relocates, this is aggrovated by carrying any kind of weight, it's got so bad i am getting a trolleybag for when i go into town to buy water...... i thought i could live on mountain water but its not all the same, the water from the stream gave me the runs, even after i boiled it for one minute, and it makes green tea taste like sh!t , metallic, i can't find any mining around the stream but i have to bring water into my mountain camp from town , i DON'T DRIVE so i do everything on the bus! .......
i try to camp within 2 miles of a bus stop and woods are good for cover and privacy , and i feel most at home in the woods, always have ....... all mountains look the same above the treeline anyway so i stay on the lower mountains, never been to the top of Snowdon, i am not a badge collector ...... Toilet isn't a problem as i piss everywhere like an animal (just away from Camp) , every morning i sh!t into a new empty binbag, immediately tie that and put it in the general trash binbag, i carry it down the mountain and dump it in a bin somewhere when i get the bus into town, Not so easy to wash your hands all the time, especially when it is 3 degrees C during the day here right now so i always have thin disposable plastic gloves , i put 4 plastic gloves on the left hand (this one wipes the butthole) and to be safe i put one on the right hand incase i accidentally touch pooey paper towel with the right hand (the left is bulletproof under 4 gloves) ....... i always use Gas to cook and heat water. i don't have fires , they attract attention, they p!ss people off if its on thier land, and fires stink, i don't enjoy dodging the smoke as the wind has its way and i don't like stinking iof woodsmoke, especially since my olfactory system (sense of smell) has gone through the roof since i have been sleeping in a tent every night in the national park, the COPD i suffer was killing me fast in South London, i do have pneumonia right now from not being vigilant and i got stressed by an energy vampire and that always get sick after that, but it's no boggie, i had worse pneumonia in 2019, i had it for 6 weeks, my trouser fell off me, i went down to 111 pounds (i am 5'9", normally about 145 pounds) .......
i have been applying for flats but with my situation, no job, disabled, clearly fcukin nuts, i realize am not going to get a flat in Gwynedd, North Wales, but now i have pretty much done winter in the tent and know i CAN do it, even disabled at 50 years old,
I have pretty much given up on getting a flat or house to live in here, a caravan or park home is more realistic to aim for ....... for now I just intend to camp here in the National Park until the wheels come off .....
I am a schizoid personality type, it doesn't mean shitzophenic or psycho, it simply means i am a loner, read the wikipedia artile on 'schizoid personality disorder' and that is a lot like me......... they call enjoying solitude a 'disorder' , we live in a mad world, well i used to, now i live in the wrold of Sun and Moon and Stars and a Robin that lands on the tent and tweets good morning and returns every night to tweet goodnight at me..............
now i won't ever be dependent on an exploitative slum landlord ever again which was the story for most of my life and Clarion the biggest social housing provider in the country is the WORST slum landlord of all, the people behind grenfell, they are a MAFIA who exploit the most vulnerable people who cannot get housing due to bad credit or disability or circumstance and we get STUCK in moldy, dangerous, abusive, substandard housing because Clarion know we have NO CHOICE and they juet see the housing benefit roll in ...... BTW Clarion staff run that company for the convenience of the staff, they work from home, work flexi time, they have the conceited attitude that they are "giving you a home" when it is not THIERS to give....... NOTHING works in Londoin anymore, anytine you deal with housing , NHS, council, police, you come up against the same lazy, dishonest, resentful people who serve themselves first, then thier own community, then other POC, then the native population last

All down to the Council and the planning authorities as some are total eyesores. Cornwall once had something money couldn't buy and that was the people that lived there, the proper Cornish dwellers. Your I have a few million to spend different people have spoiled Cornwall forever and it is very sad to see. Someone should be asking some serious question to the planning department at an extremely high level as the why has Cornwall now got to this level of total ugliness.

Is that the better option? When you listen to the people who complain it sounds like they prefer the deprived villages and find them more genuine.

Cornwall is the only part of the country that gets fairly frequent good weather. Parts of the county look mediterranean. With no infrastructure like the fishing industry that’s all but nearly vanished. You then have a huge populous of people who are what the state/council deem undesirable. So they’re filtering people out. And selling up the land and the former council houses into AirBB and yeah. It’s sort of neo-genocidal archetype that’s no first tier aggressive citizen harmful. Yeah not as destructive as the extreme war torn form of genocide. It’s corporately made created constructed into market rhetoric. Yet casualties are statically watered down proportionally. I guess it genocide culturally as the original Cornish are forced out. We have no industry, yet just say we did put aside immigration, just allowing complete control. We don’t have the infrastructure, the mechanised economy to even manage our own citizens. Let alone asylum seekers, immigrants. We have nothing here to keep us busy keep us prideful. Every borough seems to have some sort of social crisis. The next five years are going to be interesting. The lead up to 2030
