Just bought a Turbo S used, low mileage, great price, fastest car I’ve owned, great drive, PCCB’s rear steer, 10k miles, just over £60k, bargain, love the car, come from a Tesla M3P, have Porsche chargers, some Tesla still, charge at home and work, so no range anxiety. Car booked in for brake recall, just hope it is reliable but specialist supply chain is gearing up, so battery repairs possible and I’m doing my bit for the environment which I think gets forgotten although I do have my ICE sports car…
My two comments are: Best car I’ve ever owned, the car hates potholes and so far this year I’ve damaged and replaced 4 tyres…….Heavy cars, low profiles and British roads don’t mix!
i have just hit 20kms on mine and love it more and more each day.....i do a 3 hr total commute (total round trip 180kms a day) each day, great range no anxiety whatsoever.........i just hop the battery stands up, if it does I will keep this car forever
There’s nothing I can replace my Taycan with right now. I test drove a bunch of cars and nothing compares to its ride and driving experience. The only car I can imagine being better would be a Bentley variant on the same Taycan platform. People will realize how special this car is more and more as EVs become more common
Well said! I agree too, I keep banging on about how good this car is for the roads. Nothing really touches it! If I spent more time round the track my opinion would not be the same...
I have a 2020 Taycan 4s. 20k of extras. Paid 32k with trade in. To me that’s fabulous value and absolutely love it. Love looking down the bonnet feels like the bat 🦇 mobile. The power is better than anything I’ve ever owned. Real luxury to drive. I have the 19 inch wheels the extra tyre wall won’t get damaged on pot holes. 0-60!4 seconds awesome.
I have to agree after 75k miles driving EV in the last 3 years. I have one of those that start with a T. I want a used Taycan Sport or Cross Tourismo as a weekend car for the driving experience. Also something spicy on the combustion front. Who doesn’t like a V10 at full throttle? Thanks for the content.
Iv currently got a Taycan 4s 24 plate on test - very impressive car so far . Range was very accurate , modes were all very good . My preference however would be the cross tourismo 4s - only because of our dogs and family requirements. My only slight complaint with the Taycan so far is the entrance space and that really annoying lip edge that is just so painful to hit your leg on .
I think it's a good thing Porsche going with Google for its software. So far, the reviewers of the Macan EV have stated that Google Automotive is pretty good.
I have a Tycan. I agree they don't really stack up now against the newer competition. So how does porsche "Incentivse" to buy another. By quoting me £800 a month MORE for getting a new one of exactly the same spec. Needless to say I won't be doing that......
Do you think a used Macan EV 4S in two years will be cheaper than the equivalent year for a Taycan 4S? I assume it has be less simply due to the fact a brand new one costs 85k for Macan versus 119k Taycan 4S.
have been a lurker in your channel and considering to buy a 2nd hand taycan (22 or 23 made). Have heard a lot about electrical failure in a lot models - is there any year to avoid, or just 4s?
Main question is if you buy an used 22-23 my for 70-80k Eur what will you get for it in 4 years. That’s the only thing stopping me from getting one tomorrow and making me overthink it…
I think people get this a bit wrong. You won't need a new battery, it'll still work, just you'll have less usable capacity. Plenty of Teslas out there with insane miles on them.

@@TABonTV at the moment based on my current Porsche’s value and looking at pre owned Taycan cross tourismo prices , for my modest income I think I’m just out of reach financially to jump into one currently but il keep looking . Hopefully finance packages drop further free Christmas .
The new taycan is the one to get massive improvements. Its the 100% the only EV i would consider. Handles like a porsche and looks amazing compared to the competition
Depreciation is just a huge component of the operating costs. While you mentioned costs, you didn’t add that depreciation, which makes them even worse than a McLaren to own lol
VW group have a stake in Xpeng there’s no reason for all the brands under their wing, to now struggle with the technology part. Xpeng have it nailed! As you’d expect.
Fabulous to drive but not a sensible car to own because of: - Depreciation. - Porsche could, but doesn’t, continually update and improve the PCM software. The software is terrible in many areas for Porsche and VW ICE cars too, and this would somewhat put me off another modern VAG car. - Size - it's too big for some parking spaces. - Servicing / maintenance costs are stupid for an EV. - Charging socket location - some DC charger cables barely reach. - The b-pillar makes it hard to get out of; especially in tight spaces. - Public charging costs approaching a par with petrol. Thankfully, I almost exclusively charge at home. But it it wonderful tot drive. And my CT looks great.
Your friend Lou license plate is illegal. The Taycan drives better than the Audi and some Audi dealerships can't service the Etron's. CARIAD is a Welsh word. The Etron also has physical buttons for the aircon and not Porsche's silly ipad tablet.
In the same way I don’t understand why anyone would vote for Trump, why on earth would anyone buy a car that runs on dodgy software, dodgy batteries, dodgy heater matrices, has an unnecessary gearbox, makes fake brum brum noises, relies on dodgy 3rd party charging networks and loses 75% value over 3 years - assuming a Porsche dealer will add it to their mountain of unsaleable stock, when you can buy an S Plaid for half the price that blows the doors off a Porsche Tincan, goes further, is way more efficient, is a proper 5 door with big trunk space, and the whole journey experience just works beautifully?
Nice try to justify a 1st generation EV with lots of 'issues'. The main theme running thru the review is 'FRAGILE'. Therefore no long term value to anyone.
Taycan definitely better looking. By a mile. Great cars both.
I have a Taycan sport turismo - absolutely love it. Smooth, powerful, comfortable- great handling.

Ps the battery is under an 8yr warranty and plenty of second hand parts on the market.
Yeah - sounds like a great deal to me!
We need one pedal driving. And profiles, not just the memory for the seats.
But its a super great car. So nice to drive.
Yeah!!! One pedal driving is a huge thing. That's the only thing I'm jealous about Teslas
